Food Experts, Organic Champions Charge Nigerians On Healthy Alternatives To Poisinous Diets In the face of rising health challenges and death rates from food related illnesses, Nigerians have been advised to cultivate of a habit of Healthy Living by paying close, attention to the content and composition of what they eat and drink. Food expert and lifestyle specialist Queen Ikuazom who is often referred to as Lady Green gave this advice in Abuja, over the weekend during a food and fashion show exhibition to open a new Organic food outlet. The theme of the exibition was our food our medicine is to draw attention to the dangers, inherent in chemically processed food and to challenge both government and the people to pay close attention to what food and drinks they consume. Lady Green who expressed a great concern over the way Nigerians eat, was particularly disturbed by the choices we make of chemically processed food over pro-biotic food supplies. She argued that regular food such as chicken, yams, or even jollof or coconut rice, grilled fish and prawns can be organically grown and made into consumable food without being contaminated. According to her: you are what you eat. You can start a small farm behind your house and ensure that you know the source of your food. If you are eating out, make sure you know the source and be satisfied that it is truly organic even from the farm. We do that and we cannot eat or sell inorganic food to people because we want them to remain healthy. We believe that food is medicine and if you are able to get it right in your guts, you will get it right with the rest of your body’ Lady Green who is the founder of QEI a health and wellness initiative also harped on the need to balance what what we eat with Organic foods and drinks. And reduce the over dependence on Chemically processed foods and drinks. As a guide solution she advocates for everyone to go into farming small-scale behind their back yard, to produce Probiotic foods as the only way we can stop eating poison.

Group Condemns The Continued harassment of one Folashade by Police on Instruction of her ex-husband A group of women has condemned the continued harassment of one Mrs. Sariyu Folashade Olalude, a young mother of two by men of the Nigeria Police, Alagbon Close, Victoria Island, Lagos who allegedly forcefully arrested her and have since kept her in their custody, but was later released. Addressing newsmen in Abuja, the group led by human rights activist Beatrice Bell, accused Folashade's former husband, Lateef Lawal Adegboyega and his new wife, Elizabeth Ibukunolu Anjorin of being behind her ordeals. The group while narrating that Folashade has been routinely abused and her rights violated added that her former husband, Adegboyega absconded their marriage in 2020 three years after they were married and abandoned Folashade with their two kids, Lateefat Lawal, born in 2017 and Khadijat Lawal born in 2020 without performing his fatherly responsibilities. It says Adegboyega started living with Elizabeth Ibukunolu Anjorin AKA “Liz Anjorin” and eventually got married to her. They immediately commenced a campaign of calumny against Folashade and her kids without any provocation. This was also followed by death threats against Folashade by Adegboyega and his new wife. Folashade according to the group lodged a formal complain with the Nigeria Police and invitation was extended to Adegboyega but he never honoured it. The group, "Lizzy Anjorin and Adegboyega began a campaign of calumny against Folashade and her children, this was followed by series of death threats on Folashade and her children, left with no other viable option, Folashade officially reported Adegboyega and his new wife, Lizzy Anjorin, to the Police at Zone 2, Onikan, Lagos Island. "The police extended several invitations to the duo but being that they are “Bigmen” and “untouchables”, they treated the police invitation with utmost contempt and grim, to cut the long story short, Adegboyega never honored the police invitation and he was never arrested by the police even though there was a valid complaint against him and Lizzy Anjorin. "We wish to add at this juncture that the said Elizabeth Ibukunolu Anjorin a few days ago issued a public notice via social media through https://www.fb.watch/fdwl-9KOwh/ through which she threatened to violently eliminate immediately Sariyu Folashade Olalude as soon as she locates her residential address. This threat is not something to be taken lightly, as the state of security in the county is not at it best right now. " Beatrice Bello, alleged that Folashade was kept in custody in solitary confinement and was been denied access to her lawyers and family members and even food, up until she was just released. This is despite the fact that Adegboyega has filed a suit with with No: FHC/L/CS/1488/22: against Mrs Sariyu Afolashade Olalude yet he has resorted to the use of the police to harass and intimidate her. "Alhaji Adegboyega would at least maintain status quo, but no, he deployed the police to attack and harass and intimidate Folashade while his case against her is still pending before the Federal High Court Lagos. "It is sad to note that, the security apparatus of this country which is constitutionally and institutionally meant to protect the lives and properties of the citizenry have been hijacked for the private enjoyment of a privileged few, in the instant case, we dare say a popular few to the detriment and injury of those whom the classiest considers helpless. We must raise and condemn this type of action in the strongest terms." She therefore called on the Inspector General of Police, IGP Usman Alkali Baba, Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu and other right groups to come to the aid of Folashade and her kids. All efforts by our correspondent to reach Adegboyega and his new wife for a comment was unsuccessful.

Mercy Wave Foundation Prison Outreach: Miss Favour Emmanuel Finally Reunites With Her Family. It was unbridled joy on Monday, 19th October 2020 for the family of Miss Favour Emmanuel as over a month of legal proceedings finally came to an end and she was reunited with her family after the magistrate finally signed her release papers. Miss Favour Emmanuel's redemption came during one of Mercy Wave Foundation's numerous prison outreaches, she was seen in her deplorable anaemic state by representatives of the foundation who immediately contacted the founder, Dr Mercy Uwakwe, true to her undying love for humanity, she swung into action and after months of legal battles, paying fines totalling hundreds of thousands of naira, as well as several PR battles and awareness, the foundation eventually secured the release of Miss Favour Emmanuel. While speaking to members of the Mercy Wave TV, Miss Favour narrated her ordeal which started over two years ago. A tearful Favour narrated how years of struggle and hardship forced her into the unfortunate crime she committed. According to her, she could hardly finish her secondary education due to lack of resources, at a tender age, she had to engage in several menial jobs to keep her family functional, hers was a story of barely keeping herself and her family alive until things took a bad turn two years ago. For a family already struggling, when they received news of her father's diagnosis and accompanying hospital bill which eclipsed 500,000 naira, poor Favour's savings could definitely not cater for that, and the thought of losing her father made her take drastic steps which would later backfired. As a cashier working for a firm, she was privy to the account details of the company and in the heat of the struggle she erroneously decided to take the hospital bill from her firm's account and answer the consequences later, a truly emotional show of love for her ailing father. According to her, she eventually narrated the story to her boss innocently, informing him that she would work to offset the bills without salary until every penny is repaid. Unfortunately things took a drastic turn when her unsympathetic boss demanded an instant refund which Miss Favour could not provide, he had her locked away until she could pay up the loan. Narrating her ordeal in the correctional center, Miss Favour Emmanuel pointed out that from the very first day, it was untold hardship as her health condition was not considered by authorities, she narrated several episodes of anaemia where her fellow inmates concluded she wouldn't make it through the night but somehow she kept on, knowing fully well that someday her story would change for the better. She encouraged every Nigerian to always stay on the good side of the law to avoid any confrontation that might lead to a prison sentence. On her future plans, Miss Favour promised to leverage on the freedom granted her by the foundation, to lead a dutiful life, the foundation promised to assist in various ways. In a separate interview, the mother of the benefactor, Mrs Joy Emmanuel also narrated, amid tears, their story from an outside the prison perspective. According to her, at the onset of the situation, she contacted a lot of foundations and NGOs all to no avail. She also recounted how, upon his discharge, Mr Emmanuel, Favour's dad kept on visiting Favour every single day until Favour had to ban him from visiting because of the damage the stress was causing on his already problematic health. She expressed her profound gratitude to the foundation for coming to their aid when all hope seemed lost and when it seemed only a matter of time before Favour dies in prison due to her health conditions being a sickler. Mercy Wave Foundation wishes to explicitly point out that they do not in any form promote crime and is already engaging in rigorous enlightenment programs aimed at educating the youth on the dangers of crime, however in some cases we always consider what's best for humanity, in line with her divine mandate of providing succor to the underserved, MWF believes coming to the aid of prisoners with such pathetic stories is one that should be encouraged by well meaning Nigerians.
