Billionaire Arthur Eze Allegedly Uses EFCC To Intimidate, Harrass Nephews, Olisa Eze and Onyeka Eze (Photos)

A prominent business mogul and billionaire, Prince Arthur Eze has continued to use the officials of the Economic Financial Crime Commission (EFCC) to Intimidate, harrass, arrest and unlawfully detain some members of his family whom he alleged stole from him.

IGBERE TV gathered that Olisaebuka Eze and Onyeka Eze both nephews of Arthur Eze were arrested by the officials of the EFCC under questionable circumstances on Wednesday 11th day of November, 2020 on the orders of Prince Arthur Eze.

According to reports, like pawn in his hands, Arthur Eze has used or better put has been using the EFCC to intimidate and oppress these brothers while still in custody of the anti graft agency.

Information at our disposal indicates that the Anambra state born billionaire, Arthur Eze invited the officials of the EFCC to arrest and investigate his nephews, Olisa Eze and Onyeka Eze over allegations that are yet to be proven or confirmed before any court of competent jurisdiction.

Olisa Eze and Onyeka Eze, are reported to have stayed with Arthur Eze for decades and have smoothly managed some of his businesses without any records or account of financial mismanagement or misappropriation. Our correspondent learnt that Olisa Eze and Onyeka Eze are the children of Arthur Eze's late brother, Alfred Eze who died years back.

The duo were arrested by the EFCC on the 11th of November, 2020 under a purported allegations made against them by Arthur Eze and have since been denied bail even after meeting up with the stringent bail conditions.

We were made to understand that several efforts have been made by some prominent members of the society as well as members of the family and some highly placed personalities including His Royal Majesty Igwe Robert Eze and his cabinet members asking Arthur Eze to withdraw the matter from EFCC and allow it to be solved within the family level have proved abortive.

On the 3rd of December, 2020, we were told that some officials of the EFCC left Abuja with Olisa Eze and Onyeka Eze to Ukpo community in Enugu State. This development led to the Youths resisting further attempts to further humiliate, harass and embarrass their brothers by officials of EFCC.

Youths of the community reportedly took to the street in their large numbers with placards chanting and proclaiming the suspects innocence and condemning the actions of Arthur Eze.

According to the youths, "We are all living witnesses to how the #ENDSARS protest originated and gradually metamorphosed into a national cataclysm. We strongly advice the EFCC to refuse to be used for the wrong reasons by egoistic money bags like Prince Arthur Eze because Nigerians are watching every move with eagle eye."

"We are strongly calling on the Acting Chairman of the EFCC, Mohammed Umar to kindly Wade into the matter very quickly and also plead on the Director of Operations, Umar Hadejia and Abifari Mohammed to act accordingly and not allow the name of the institution to be dragged to the mud."

Benue State Teaching Service Board (TSB) said the Board has promoted about 5000 secondary school teachers that have been stagnated in the state.

By the development, the TSB is the state is the only ministry, agency or parastatal in the state that has promoted its staff up to 2018.

Executive Secretary (ES), TSB, Prof. Wilfred Uji said out of the number about 190 of the teachers were promoted to Grade Level 16.

He disclosed this when members of the Benue Journalists’ Forum (BJFN), led by the National Secretary, Tor Vande-Acka paid him a courtesy call in Makurdi last weekend.

While he explained that this is the first time in the history of the state that teachers have been promoted to Grade Level 16, Uji noted that the implication of the promotion is that those promoted to the new Grade Level can be appointed Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service.

The TSB boss, however, stressed need to employ about 5000 more teachers for secondary schools in the state due to the vacuum created by retirements and the dearth of teachers over the years.

He stated that at the moment the dearth of teachers in secondary schools in the state was being addressed by the Parents Teachers Association (PTA) who hire... read More

Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu has said the Spanish giants are not worried about Lionel Messi’s future, despite the Argentinian star being able to leave the club at the end of the season.

The five-time Ballon d’Or winner signed a new four-year deal with Barca in 2017, but Bartomeu says he is free to end his contract beforehand.

Bartomeu while speaking with Barcelona’s in-house television channel said, “Leo Messi has a contract through to the 2020-21 season, but the player is able to leave Barca before the final season".

He added, “It’s the same case as with the final contracts that Xavi, (Carles) Puyol and (Andres) Iniesta had. They are players who deserve that liberty, and we shouldn’t worry, as they are very committed to Barca. We want Messi to play for Barca through to 2021 and beyond. We are very calm.”

Messi, 32, has been at Barcelona since 2001 and is the club’s record goalscorer.

Former Head of Service in Lagos State, Alhaji Rafiu Tinubu is dead. Tinubu died in Abuja on Wednesday at the age of 75, after a brief illness.

A statement signed by Mr Gboyega Akosile, Chief Press Secretary to Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu described Tinubu’s death as a huge loss to the state and the nation in general.

Sanwo-Olu sympathized with Tinubu’s family, the deceased’s friends and associates, saying: “Alhaji Tinubu’s demise came at a time the nation and Lagos in particular needed his wealth of experience the most.”

“As experienced administrator per excellence, we certainly will miss the late Alhaji Tinubu’s counsel on matters of importance in the state civil service.”

The Governor said people of the state would always remember the “laudable achievements” of the former top civil servant, who, he said, served the state meritoriously for 26 years before he rose to become the Head of Service.

Sanwo-Olu said: “We can’t forget the contributions of late Alhaji Rafiu Tinubu towards the professionalisation of Lagos civil service. His quest for excellence and exemplary leadership were a hallmark of his earthly sojourn.

“We condole the Tinubu family, especially our National Leader, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, wife and children of the deceased and the entire extended families of late elder statesman.

“I pray that Almighty Allah grant the late Alhaji Rafiu Tinubu Al-Janah Firdaus and grant members of the family the fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.” NAN
