Universal Peace Federation Worldwide Honours Amb. Coomassie With Global Peace Ambassador Appointment

The Continental Coordinator and Director of Advocacy for Good Governance and Social Justice Global Network, Amb. Husaini Haruna Coomassie, has been honoured by the Universal Peace Federation World-wide. He was honoured on the 1st of July 2021 by Executive Members of the Universal Peace Federation World-wide.

According to reports, HE Amb. Husaini Haruna Coomassie was honoured and appointed as a Global Peace Ambassador. He was honoured and appointed with new office for his global contributions to peace building and the advancement of peace across communities in the world. The occasion of the honour for Amb. Coomassie was held at Zeus Paradise Hotel, located at Jabi in Abuja.

In Nigeria, an international peace-based Organization, known as Peace Ambassador Agency Worldwide has made public her newly rebranded identity. The Organization released a new logo ahead of its forthcoming 10th edition and Anniversary celebration of Peace Achievers International Summit and Awards, holding on the 16th of October in Abuja, the capital City of Nigeria. Residents of a community in Kuje Abuja woke up to a rude shock as community infrastructure were been destroyed in broad daylight by the management of Almat farms under the physical supervision of its owner; Mr. Maurice Ekpo. This act sent shock waves to the community which lead to an appeal to the general public to join their voices until the news gets to the appropriate authority.

Speaking to an eye witness in the community, Godwin Ajibola, he said he doesn't know what really caused the demolition of the electrical poles but he was present at the scene where he saw Maurice Ekpo the owner of Almat farm and also the operator making use of excavator to pull down the poles.

He further stated that the poles aren't in the compound or on the land of almat farm, calling for help to safeguard their community infrastructure from further destruction.

Suleiman, another eyewitness also said he did not know what lead to the demolition but he was present at the scene where excavator was used to pull down the poles


This singular act has left neighbors and the entire community in darkness.

A group known as Anambra for better greatness with over 5000 members spanning across communities in Anambra state led by one Mr. Nelson Udogu came with a mammoth crowd to identify with and adopt Dr. Godwin Maduka as their candidate for the June 26th primary and November 6th Governorship election.

In an opening speech, Dr. Godwin Maduka who is the number one Governorship aspirant in Anambra State narrated the story of his life as a village boy surrounded by hopeless situations but through God's grace became a successful man.

Dr. Godwin Maduka promised to extend to Ndi Anambra the blessings of God in his life,hence his determination to win for the poor and the downtrodden.

As regards education, Okosisi Stated that education is essential to the existence of man. He decried the high fees being paid in tertiary institutions and promised to reduce the cost of education for Ndi Anambra. He said primary and secondary schools will be free.

He insisted that he would build 21 University campuses in all the 21 local government areas of Anambra State to create access to education at the grassroots.

He also attended to vice chairmen and Secretaries of the wards in Anambra State, likewise vice chairmen of the 21 local governments.

Dr. Godwin Maduka prayed that God in heaven give Ndi Anambra the grace to elect a credible candidate who would stop at nothing to transform the State.

As part of his 10 point agenda, Dr. Godwin Maduka promise to establish medical tourism in Anambra State to reduce capital flight and attract foreign patronage.

Anambra PDP Guber Primary: Maduka Never Flouted Party Rules- Group

A watchdog group, Anambra Awareness Coalition, AAC, has debunked allegations leveled against a frontline PDP governorship aspirant in the State, Dr. Godwin Maduka.

The Independent Leaders Forum (ILF) at a press conference held in Awka, had called for Maduka's disqualification on the grounds that he gave bribe to statutory delegates of the PDP governorship primary scheduled for June 26, 2021.

In a statement in Awka, the AAC said there is no iota of truth in the allegations, leveled against Dr. Maduka, but rather the figment of the imagination of those who are scared of his towering profile.

President of the AAU, Alfred Onyeabo, said Dr Maduka never at any time, faulted the threshold of N3, 000 approved by the aspirants and the party leadership for the statutory delegates.

He said "The fact remains that Dr. Maduka, is a stickler for rules and a respecter of order.

"He never gave the delegates above the approved sum as agreed by the aspirants and the party leadership. He complied with the terms of the agreement.

'Dr. Maduka's Foundation, which has received several awards for it's acts of philanthropy across the country and known across Anambra State and beyond for its genuine humanitarian activities, has a tradition of doling out largesse to indigent people of Anambra State.

"Thus, it is not out of place for such largesse to be extended by his Foundation to those who support and back his aspiration to become governor of Anambra State.

"The largesse of N50,000, which is nothing unusual for the foundation, was doled out to Indigenes to demonstrate the support of the foundation to their families and to aid their individual engagements.

According to him, Dr Maduka is a global respected icon in modern medicine and he could not have achieved such feat if he is not a respecter of rules.

"Those peddling this falsehood against him have clearly shown their desperation to resort to Pull Him Down Syndrome, PHD, which is their stock in trade.

"We believe that the resort to tarnish Dr Maduka's image barely few weeks to the party's governorship primary, clearly reveals their fear, that he is the favoured among the delegates and party faithful of the PDP for the governorship ticket of the party.

"We advise them to focus on the party primary ahead and ensure that the PDP produce a formidable governorship candidate in the mould of Dr. Maduka, a man who has shown undiluted capacity to win the Anambra governorship election for the party.

DELTA STATE TOP ON INFECTIOUS DISEASE CONTROL ~ DR. MICHAEL NWOKO

The SSA to the Governor on Health Monitoring and Coordinator of Delta State Health Monitoring Team, Dr. Michael Nwoko has stated that Delta State is always on top when it comes to infectious disease control.

Dr. Nwoko made this known when he featured on Channels Television COVID-19 update Program on 10/06/2021.

He emphasized that in order to effectively contain the COVID-19 pandemic, the State is driving the vaccination program to ensure that all those who had earlier taken their first doses take their second doses during this phase of the vaccination program.

Dr. Nwoko whilst thanking His Excellency, Sen. Dr. Ifeanyi Arthur Okowa for creating the enabling environment for the vaccination program noted that the State had decentralized the vaccination program in order to ensure that majority of the people are vaccinated.

While reacting to the issue of limited doses of the Vaccines, the ebullient SSA informed that efforts are on top gear to fully utilize the available vaccines and then make a case with the National Primary Health Care Development Agency for deployment of more Vaccines in the second phase of the program.

Conclusively, Dr. Nwoko posited that the vaccination program are on across the 25 local Government Areas in Delta State and that immunization officers are also visiting corporate offices to get people vaccinated adding that there is continuous advocacy and sensitization program on the need for the people to get vaccinated as the Vaccines are safe and efficacious.

Dr. Godwin Maduka, Anambra PDP Guber Aspirant, Receives Michael Okpara Leadership Prize As Philanthropist Of The Millennium.

Godwin Maduka, renowned medical doctor and front-line PDP governorship aspirant in Anambra state, on Sunday received the prestigious Michael Okpara Leadership Prize as Philanthropist of the Millennium on Thursday, 3rd June, 2021 at the Sheraton hotel and towers in Abuja.

Maduka , who holds doctorate degrees in Pharmacy, Medicine and a professorship in medical science, also presides over affairs of the Pain Institute and Medical Centre, a multi billion dollar medical and pharmaceutical conglomerate in Las Vegas, USA, as Founder and Chief Executive Officer.

He said this about Okpara, his role model; which attracted loud ovation from the ecstatic audience.

’I have never ceased from admiring Dr. Michael Okpara, the great leader, nationalist, politician and Medical Doctor like myself . I am inspired by Okpara’s developmental legacies and life as a medical doctor who embraced politics and used opportunity of his elevation to the status of premier to make the Eastern Region of Nigeria, one of the fastest growing regions in the world in the 1960s", he noted.

"I will do all I can to follow his style and make Anambra the number one state in Nigeria if elected Governor at the November governorship election in the state", he said further.

He also donated the sum of N50 million to support the Okpara Foundation and Verbatim News Network.

In his words, "I am donating a total of N50million to support what the Okpara Foundation and Verbatim News Network Limited in honour of our late father and leader, Michael Iheonukara Okpara".

Dr Maduka said he feels highly honoured to be considered as philanthropist of the millennium, and explained that he keyed into the project immediately it was brought to his notice because of his respect for the man Okpara who he said was a legend.

Maduka further explained that his life as was shaped by Dr Okpara and his success in life which prompted him to study medicine as his role model, Okpara.

He further said that he sees himself as a replica of Dr Okpara judging from the very humble backgrounds which both of them had, the scholarships which they both received to study and medicine; which they both studied.

He further added that he also has some inherent qualities of Dr Okpara like resilience, commitment, candor, humanism and love for the development of his immediate environment.

He added that these were the reasons why he decided to offer himself to serve the good people of Anambra state as governor, emphasizing that he is committed to transform Anambra and take it to the next level like Dr Okpara did in the old eastern region as the premier.

Reasons why Godwin Maduka was presented with Okpara Prize as Philanthropist of the Millennium was adduced by Tobs Agbaegbu, Publisher of Verbatim Magazine who headed the event organizing committee.

In an interview with journalists in Abuja, Agbaegbu explained:

‘’There was a committee that looked at the credentials of Dr. Godwin Maduka, his vision and accomplishments. Maduka has done much that are verifiable, in areas of human capital and infrastructural development. He is a giant in academic achievement. But the committee wanted to appreciate him more in what he did in touching lives, the philanthropy and human angle. Maduka is also a giant in this area. What he has done in years past and what he is currently doing are too numerous to talk about here. ‘’

Maduka was not the only recipient of Okpara Leadership award on June 3. Other recipients include Sen T.A Orji, Professor Ofo Iwe, Vice chancellor of the Michael Okpara university of Agriculture Umudike , Dr Bukola Saraki, former president of the senate, High Chief Ikechi Emenike and two other governorship aspirants from Anambra State, Obiora Okonkwo and George Moghalu. Other personalites who were honoured include, Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi, Governor Bayelsa State, Duoye Diri and Goddy Jedy-Agba, Minister of State for Power.

Some of those who spoke at the event included Minister of Science and Technology, Dr. Ogbonnaya Onu; former Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki; and Chairman of United Nigeria Airlines, Dr. Obiora Okonkwo.

To increase service delivery of the Federal Fire Service (FFS), the Nigerian government through the Ministry of Interior has made a move to acquire 15 Fire and Rescue Trucks to support accident Victims rescue mission across the country.

As part of the process to secure the trucks, the Hon Minister of Interior Ogbeni Rauf Aregbosola has despatched a team led by the Controller General of the FFS, Dr. Liman A. Ibrahim Mfire. E, FPA, icc, and accompanied by K.C Agu, DCG Rtd. Mr. Deji, Technical Adviser to the HonorableMinister of Interior on Federal Fire Service and Mr Jawachi MD/CEO along with his wife on Friday, June 4, paid a visit to Portugal, where they inspected the Rescue Trucks being manufactured at Jacinto Fire Trucks Manufacturing Industry, in Porto, Portugal.

Speaking on the proposed acquisition of trucks, the CGF noted that subject to the approval of President, the FFS is proposing to acquire 15 trucks, with a plan for each of 12 zones of the FFS and FCT to receive one truck each. While Ibadan and Lokoja will receive one each due to the high rate of accidents along their connecting routes.

He noted that the fire fighting trucks have an inbuilt rescue and emergency ancillary equipment, which will not only help to curb the spread of fire but also help in extrications of trapped Victims as well as providing first aid medical care for victims from all sorts of accidents at the scene.

According to trustworthy accounts, Temitope Joshua, better known as Prophet TB Joshua , the Founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, died on his way to the hospital.

“Yesterday evening, he led a service. He’d been ill for the past two days. After the evening performance, he decided to go to the hospital. On his way to the hospital, he passed away,” it was revealed by a source.

The church and his family are yet to make an official announcement about his death. At the time, he was 57 years old. Joshua was born on June 12, 1963, in Arigidi, Akoko axis, Ondo State. It was being planned for his 58th birthday, which is six days away.

The news of his death became a craze on social media in the early hours of Sunday, with many Nigerians taking turns to mourn the late prophet.

He had been unwell for two days, according to insiders, though the cause of his death was not immediately confirmed. His body is believed to have been deposited in Isolo’s Lagos General Hospital.

Former Arsenal, Middlesbrough and West Brom goalkeeper, Alan Miller has tragically passed away at the age of 51. The news of his death was confirmed in report by Daily Mail. But the cause of his death is yet unknown. The Englishman joined the Gunners as a schoolboy in 1984 and signed as a professional with the club four years later.

Miller made his Arsenal debut as a substitute against Leeds United at Elland Road, in so doing becoming the first Gunners goalkeeper to make an appearance as a substitute. He made five appearances for Arsenal in total, and was an unused substitute as the Gunners won the FA and League Cup double in 1993, as well as the European Cup Winners’ Cup a year later. Miller had spent time on loan with Plymouth Argyle, West Brom, and Birmingham City, and joined Boro for £325,000 in August 1994. He won the Championship with the North East side in the 1994-95 season. The Englishman moved to West Brom for £400,000 in 1997 before joining Blackburn Rovers in 2000. Miller ended his career at Ewood Park with a back injury forcing him into retirement in 2003.

Miller also enjoyed loan spells with Huddersfield Town, Grimsby Town, Bristol City, Coventry City and St Johnstone. West Brom tweeted: ‘We are desperately saddened to learn of the passing of former goalkeeper Alan Miller. Our thoughts are with Alan’s family and friends at this terribly sad time.’ Former Arsenal team-mate Lee Dixon tweeted: ‘Devastated to hear the news that our team mate Alan Miller has passed away. ‘He was one of life’s good guys. *Foremost Nationalist, Chief Mbazulike Receives Dr. Maduka, Endorses His Anambra Gubernatorial Ambition With Accolades*

In continuation of his consultation and canvassing for support tour, PDP's frontline aspirant for the Nov 6th governorship election, *Dr. Godwin Maduka*(Okosisi Orumba) today paid a courtesy visit to Nigeria's foremost nationalist, Chief Mbazulike Amechi (Dara Akunwafo).

Dr. Godwin Maduka applauded the exemplary leadership role of Chief Amaechi. Okosisi Orumba while discussing his aspiration to contest for the number one job of the state, and presented his 10 point agenda to the elder statesman.

Dr. Maduka pledged to unlock opportunities within the Nnewi commercial cluster, which will translates to development in Amihe village and towns in Nnewi South area of Anambra state.

Chief Mbazulike, a one time legislator and first minister of aviation, who doubles as a product of the Zikist movement, described D Maduka as an idea whose time has come. In his words, _*"going by Age, qualification, patriotism, sacrifices, readiness to serve, you have my support".*_

The old legend also presented two well researched historical book of Nigeria authored by him which are titled "A Political History Of Modern Nigeria", to Dr Maduka.

The visiting delegation was led by the campaign chairman Chief Ndubueze Ezeani (Nwatanayoeze Na Ezinifite) and it's director-general, Hon Mikejoe Onwudinjo.

As the consultation continues, Ndi Anambra are overwhelmingly getting convinced that we will #WinWithGodwin�.
