Yesterday, a video went viral showing a man was brutalized and publicly humiliated after being accused of sleeping with a man's wife in Edo state. It has now been revealed by the victim's lawyer that the mastermind of the whole act was Mr Nagbama Osakpamwan Eboigbe , A.K.A Smally, a Sergeant attached to the Special Anti Robbery Squad ( SARS), who is said to be estranged with his wife Sarah.

Brazen Impunity By a Lawless Policeman in Benin City.

Please be informed that the trending online video of the brazen abduction and battery of a young man in Benin City is now subject of a Criminal Investigation in Edo State.

The victim of the abduction and battery deny every allegation of amorous impropriety made in the said video.

The fact of the matter is as briefly stated here under. On Monday, 9th October, 2017, one Mr Nagbama Osakpamwan Eboigbe , A.K.A Smally, a Sergeant attached to the Special Anti Robbery Squad ( SARS), with an online history of acrimonious separation from his ex wife,attacked Mr Ese Idehen who he falsely accused of dating his ex wife with the assistance of over eight thugs specially hired for the purpose.

Mr Ese Idehen was beaten , dragged and locked up in a cell in Ugbor Police Station, GRA , Benin City. He was released the following day without any Statement obtained from him or bail application on the Order of The DPO who frowned at the brazen abuse of office and illegal detention without his approval. He thereafter warned the rampaging Police Sergeant to desist from using his Station to perpetuate illegalities and injustice. Mr Nagbama Osakpamwan Eboigbe claimed that he has spent millions in contracting his failed marriage and wanted compensation. The parties were asked to leave the Station and maintain peace.

Seemingly frustrated and unable to use the Police to perfect his illegal plans, on Thursday 12th October, 2017, at about 6pm the said Mr Eboigbe AKA Smally leading over 10 thugs and armed with assorted weapons including a Beretta Pistol stormed where Mr Ese Idehen was drinking on MM Way , Benin City with his friends, seized him, beat him up and bundled him into his personal Toyota Highlander Jeep with registration number AYB 518 FQ and drove off with him to unknown destination. Mr Idehen was blindfolded and severely beaten with assorted cudgels . In a video released by his abductors , later that night, Mr Idehen was shown being beaten, interrogated and forced to admit all sort of wrongful conducts he was incapable of doing. He herewith deny every allegation of amorous impropriety and challenges Mr Nagbama Osakpamwan Eboigbe aka Smally to show proof .

His abductors stole his money and other personal items and later dumped him still blindfolded at about 11pm closed to Ebenezer Primary School, Ihama Road, GRA , Benin City..

This unacceptable and brazen abuse of power by Mr Eboigbe aka Smally is very unfortunate and we shall ensure ,within the limits of the Law , that he is brought to book and made to answer for his illegal actions. It's a promise.

According to multiple online reports, a search has been launched in the United Kingdom to locate a Nigerian man identified as Jinadu Adewale, who was recently granted a residence permit in the country. The man is yet to be located after permit was sent to his previous address. He reportedly moved out because he wasn't sure if he'd be deported....

The Rivers State police command has arrested a young man who allegedly defiled an eight-year-old girl in Rumuolumeni area of the state. The suspect was arrested by police operatives after the little girl revealed to her parents what the "uncle" has been doing to her.

The suspect is currently in police custody and will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.

Some dogs were killed by angry residents after they went on rampage. According to reports, the dogs attacked innocent passersby including a woman and her child. A group of residents who gathered due to the chaos the incident caused in the area - took matters into their hands by rounding up the dogs and beating them to death.

The injured victims were rushed to the hospital for treatment.

The Police Command in Kano has arrested a couple and a nurse for buying a five-year-old boy. The State’s Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Magaji Majiya, who paraded the suspects in Kano on Wednesday, said that the suspects were apprehended on October 10, following a tip-off by one Hajiya Fatima who connived with the police in a plot to arrest the suspects.

“We received information from Hajiya Fatima that someone wants to buy her baby. So we told her to tell them she has agreed to sell the boy.

“The suspects bought the baby at the rate of N15,000 and paid N13,000 as part payment.”

The PPRO said that one of the suspect, Itopam Pious, who claimed to be a nurse at ECWA Eye Hospital Kano, was arrested while trying to confiscate the baby from his mother.

According to him, the nurse intended to buy the baby for a couple, Mr and Mrs Charles Bob-manuel, who came to Kano from Rivers State to adopt a baby because they were married for 12 years without a child.

Majiya added that the nurse confessed to having committed the offence, while the couple denied the offence.

He said that investigation is still ongoing, adding that the suspects would be charged to court.

Troops of 192 Task Force Battalion of 26 Task Force Brigade of Operation LAFIYA DOLE at about 8:35pm on Tuesday, 10th October 2017 displayed their fighting prowess to dislodge terrorists onslaught by successfully repelling Boko Haram Terrorists (BHTs) attack at their outpost from Yamteke axis of Gwoza Local Government, Borno State.

The troops utilising heavy fire power and act of bravery dealt a decisive blow on the BHTs who attempted to infiltrate their outpost with improvised explosive Vehicles and persons borne improvised explosive devices. In the ensuing fire fight, troops inflicted heavy casualty on the terrorists, repelled the attack on their location, neutralised 15 BHTs, captured one Panhard Vehicule Blinde Leger, large caches of various ammunitions, destroyed one Toyota Hilux pick up mounted with Anti Aircraft and one Gun Truck.

Several other BHTs escaped with gunshot wounds. Sadly, one soldier died during the attack and his remains has been evacuated.

The troops remain determined in their task of safeguarding communities and providing a conducive environment for humanitarian agencies to do their work. In this regard, the populace is encouraged to always provide vital information on suspected activities of BHTs to the security agencies in their respective localities.

A man was feared killed when police and commercial motorcyclists clashed in the Yemetu area of Ibadan , Oyo State, on Tuesday. It was learnt that the victim, who was said to be a commercial motorcyclist, was shot by a policeman after he refused to part with money demanded from him by the cop.

It was reported that after the commercial motorcyclist was shot, his colleagues decided to avenge his death.

It was gathered that the commercial motorcyclists were joined by hoodlums in the area, adding that they attempted to burn a police station in Yemetu.

The police confirmed that seven persons, believed to have been involved in the crisis that rocked areas like Yemetu, Beere, Dandaru, Oje and other parts of the city, have been arrested.

An eyewitness said the okada riders, who felt cheated by the policeman, stormed the Yemetu Police Station where they believed the policemen came from with dangerous weapons.

Here are copies of the primary four exam questions which many teachers failed in Kaduna state. Thousands of primary school teachers in Kaduna state are to be sacked after failing the exams they set for their six-year-old pupils.

State governor Nasir El-Rufai said 21,780 teachers, two-thirds of the total, had failed to score 75% or higher on assessments given to pupils. He said 25,000 new teachers would be recruited to replace them.

Mr El-Rufai made the comments at a meeting with World Bank representatives in the state capital, Kaduna.

"The hiring of teachers in the past was politicised and we intend to change that by bringing in young and qualified primary school teachers to restore the dignity of education in the state," he was quoted as saying.

Mr El-Rufai said problems with pupil-teacher ratios across the state would also be addressed.

He said some areas currently had one teacher for every nine pupils while in other areas the ratio was one to 100.

There was a pandemonium earlier today in South Africa after police killed a Nigerian student identified as Ibrahim Badmus at Vanderbijlpark triangle, according to multiple online reports. According to details gathered online, the young man's house was raided by the police operatives who reportedly handcuffed him and used excessive pepper spray on him before he passed out and died due to suffocation.

According to reports, the student was accused of selling drugs.

Policemen took over the area to control the tense situation.

This incident occurred barely weeks after a Nigerian was reported dead at Springs Town near Johannesburg, one week after another was killed in KwaZulu Natal province of South Africa.

A criminal suspect who is called Pally – Young or P – Young by his gang members has been arrested. The suspect's real name, Augustine Uchenna, a member of the 10 man gang arrested last week by the Decoy Team of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command.

Pally Young, a father of seven and erstwhile “Danfo” driver was lurred into robbery by the gang’s leader, Isima, alias Cmans, himself, a danfo driver.

Pally’s first operation was in Ayobo. Isima, as typical had done the surveillance of the targets earlier in the day. At 10:00 p.m, they proceeded to the area and planned to hide in an uncompleted building before heading to their target. They were met by a guard, who subjected them to rigorous questioning that prompted them to run for cover.

That night, P – Young and two other members of the gang were arrested and had to spend 13 months behind bars. Only Isima escaped.

When he regained freedom his wife called him and warned him never to return to his vomit but days after his release, other gang members invited him to Isima’s residence and hosted him.

Thereafter, the gang regrouped and planned another operation in Ayobo again. Isima did the survey of where they were to strike. On the D – day, they entered the street but the vigilante, sighted them. They were chased. While they ran helter-skelter, P-Young, saw a church having a vigil, he entered it and was with them till morning.

According to P – Young, that very night, he made up his mind never to follow the gang on operations again. That was the second unsuccessful operation of P – Young with the gang.

Sensing P – Young was bringing his ill – luck to the gang, they connived to leave him out of subsequent operations.

Since February, 2017 when they stopped inviting him to operations, the rest of the gang had a field day in Ipaja and Ayobo axis robbing residents and taking away their property and cars.

Recently, the team was arrested by the Decoy Team of Rapid Response Squad, Lagos. Listed in the past exploits of the gang is P-Young.

He is helping the police to shed more light on what he knows about the gang.

There was a robbery attack earlier today along Abak Road, Uyo, Akwa Ibom state by Godswill Akpabio International Stadium. According to multiple reports, the armed robbers chased and intercepted a Toyota Hilux utility vehicle conveying money from a bank, made off with the money, firing gunshots.

At the moment, injured victims who accompanied the attacked vehicle have been hospitalised.

This is very unfortunate. A Zambian player whose goal against Super Eagles was disallowed, lost his daughter during the world cup qualifying match in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. Augustine Mulenga lost his daughter while he was in action in Nigeria during the World Cup qualifier match which his country lost. He scored but his goal was disallowed by the referee.

The forward broke down in tears at the burial of his little girl today, at New Leopards Hill Cemetery in Zambia..

According to reports, officials knew the winger lost a daughter but could not tell him because he offered hope in helping his country qualify for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
