The remains of business mogul, Alhaji Ahmad Chanchangi who died this morning while being taken to a hospital in Abuja has been interred at the Bachama road cemetery in Kaduna. The corpse of the late billionaire was taken to the cemetery and laid to rest at about 1:30 pm after prayers were said at the Chanchangi mosque within the expansive family residence of the Chachangis at the Tudun Wada area of Kaduna.

The Taraba-born, Kaduna-based billionaire died along Kaduna-Abuja road while on the way to a hospital in Abuja on Wednesday morning.

He is believed to be survived by three wives and about 33 children, among whom is Rufai Chanchangi, a member of the House of representative.

The two community youth leaders in the Isiala Mbano Local Government Area of Imo State who were shot dead by fleeing gunmen operating in a jeep at Eke Obollo. The incident happened on Monday, when four gunmen, who were in a Jeep, shot and killed Uzoma popularly known as Van Dan, and another youth leader, identified simply as Chinedu, who goes by the name Master , at about 8. 15 pm

The youths were reportedly shot dead at the Okeosisi Bar, a popular beer joint in the community

According to reports, the gunmen, on arriving at the scene, was said to have shot continuously into the air to scare away residents before aiming at their targets and leave them dead in the pool of blood.

A National Youth Service Corps, member, Mr Toriseju Lodge has been shot dead at Oghara in Delta State by a suspected cultist in front of his apartment. The Youth Corper who was serving in Imo State was said to have return to his rented apartment in Oghara, where he has been staying as a student of Western Delta before passing out to celebrate Easter with friends when the gunman who was said to be wearing a mask, struck.

According to reports, the young man was outside that night, checking his phone when the gunman suddenly emerged and shot him thrice. He then took his mobile phone, removed the sim card and memory card before destroying the phone and disappearing into the night..

Meanwhile, Toju's body has been deposited in the morgue.

A Nigerian lady identified as Mrs John was among the guests at the 2017 Easter Egg roll event at The White House in Washington D.C on Monday. The event which is a timeless White House tradition, dating back to 1878 -was hosted by President Donald J Trump and his wife, First Lady Melania as they opened the South Lawn of the White House to the 21,000 guests.

Mrs John also crossed path with retired pediatric neurosurgeon, Dr Ben Carson who is President Donald Trump's secretary for the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.

A Danfo bus conveying passengers summersaulted and bursted into flames killing 5 trapped passengers including a baby on Western Avenue, Surulere, Lagos. Three passengers were rescued and taken to the hospital. The sad incident happened early this morning during rush hour.

A gallant police officer Akinola Ola Rotimi is filled with appreciation after returning back to base in Lagos after a special assignment for more than 3 months in the north-east. The policeman and his colleagues were spotted on their knees as they thanked God in a church for safe return.

Akinola Ola Rotimi who shared the photos wrote;

"......3 months,3 weeks ago....my humble self and 62 gallant officers left for the north east on a special assignment...... and 3 months,3 weeks,we are back to Lagos......NO ONE, I mean NO ONE WAS MISSING...........its really a BIG TESTIMONY..... please help me thank the Good Lord!!!!"

Some officials of the Federal Road Safety officials FRSC were disgraced in Nnewi, Anambra state on Friday, April 14 by an angry mob over allegations of bribery. According to Modesty Vitus, the officials were beaten and humiliated, as they ran away leaving two of their colleagues behind at the mercy of the mob.

This reportedly happened after the officials allegedly asked for bribe from a cyclist who refused to "cooperate". They wanted to 'arrest ' the cycle, the owner refused before all hell went loose.

The U.J Esuene stadium in Calabar, Cross River state collapsed after torrential rain today Friday. Pictures released by the Director General of Sport Commission, Orok Duke, shows that the whole structure built to house at least 50 thousand people has only 8mm rods in the pillars and deckings platforms.

The structure which collapsed this afternoon, happened at a time when the children competition taking place in the stadium was suspended to observe the Easter Holiday. According to Orok Duke, more than 2000 children would have been crushed to death.

The indoor sport hall which was under construction for over two years now was awarded to Ujuola Giwa Amu ..a contractor who allegedly absconded billions of Naira.
