Here are photos from the raid carried out by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on the farmland belonging to former Chief of Defence Staff, CDS, Air Chief Marshal, Alex Badeh, in Kugwuru village, Karu, Nasarawa state. It was gathered that operatives of the anti-graft agency, following a tip-off, broke into Badeh’s room, ransacked the ceiling of the farmhouse and even went into underground septic tanks in search of money they claimed he had hidden on the farm.

It was also gathered that in the process of the raid, an operatives got stuck in the septic tank but was rescued by the former CDS’ domestic staff.

Photos of the raid which was carried out on April 6th and 9th 2017 at about 9pm to 1am respectively, show that the operatives destroyed some of Badeh’s properties during the exercise.

Read the letter addressed to the Minister of Justice and Attorney General of the Federation, Akin Olujimi SAN called the AGF’s attention to the “continuous harassment, threat to life and vandalization of property by security operatives.

A Nigerian man has shared a video footage showing thousands of applicants looking for jobs in Dubai. According to him, only 100 applicants are taking out of 5000 people including their own citizens. He shared the footage to warn Nigerians who are being deceived by foreign agents who promise them high paying jobs when they arrive the country...

According to him, even the agents who collect money from people are also seeking for jobs...how ironic...

A Fuel Tanker filled with Petrol, this afternoon was involved in a ghastly accident around Oba old Road in Anambra State. According to Prisca Chiamaka Abel, the driver was driving from another town in Anambra State on a high speed and unfortunately the brake system failed, resulting in the long vehicle skidding off the road and ended up running into a building.

A two-time suicide bomb interceptor and survivor in the University of Maiduguri UNIMAID, has narrated his experience. The 24-year-old security guard, Joseph Joshua, who foiled the suicide attack that occurred in the University of Maiduguri yesterday - was among those who intercepted Boko Haram suicide bombers the last time they attempted to infiltrate the university premises two months ago.

He narrated to Yerwa Express that the three suicide bombers which struck yesterday -came in two batches.

The first was a little girl who walked unusually too fast. He said the aim was to mislead them so that when they 'go after her, the rest could sneak in and head to their target'.

'Considering the place and time, this was strange and so I lit my torch at her direction. I asked her to stop but she ignored it', he said, adding that, 'unknown to me, she was carrying a bomb'. 'I took to her direction when I discovered she was not alone. I overheard my colleague also talking to someone: ''who is that? Stop there'', I turned back to see who when a ground-shattering sound went off'.

'It was deafening that I can't tell where--whether it was close or far. It was an enduring sound all over the place. 'The two men, both wearing blue kaftan, detonated the explosive devices they were carrying at the spot, within seconds, killing them all including my colleague who tried to stop them'.

'By the time the first went off, the girl also detonated her own killing herself'. 'My luck was that I was not very close to her, otherwise I would have also been killed or injured'.

'My hearing has not been okay since the time because of the loud sound', Joseph added.

Two Nigerians have been shot dead in the Western Cape province of South Africa. Mike Ibitoye, chairman of the Nigeria union in South Africa, disclosed this to NAN via telephone from Cape Town. He said the deceased were shot by yet to be identified assailants.

“Mr Ernest Ughakwesili, 42, native of Nkpor, Idemili north local government area of Anambra state, was shot in a night club by gunmen at Strand Area of Cape Town on Sunday,” he said. “The assailants escaped after the shooting and the victim died before being rushed to the hospital.”

Ibitoye also said the second victim, Chimezie Oranusi, 26, from Oba town in Anambra State, was shot with a friend in a car at Delst area of Cape Town.

“The friend is a South African and is still in the hospital receiving treatment,” he said. “The incidents have been reported to the police and the national secretariat of the union.”

The chairman said the motive behind the shootings had not been ascertained, adding that the police had commenced investigation.

Here are photos of the female postgraduate student of the Federal University of Technology Minna, Niger State, who was killed by a man suspected to be her fiancée. It was learnt that Bolatito Ajuola, a student of Science Education, was allegedly stabbed to death at about 11pm on Monday at her off -campus residence.

Reports have it that the said the man , Best Origboshe , was a worker in a company owned by the victim’ s father in Ondo State, when the duo began a romantic affair. However, Origboshe was said to have lost his job, resulting in ajuola asking him to join her in Minna.

It was learnt that on Monday , Origboshe and ajuola had returned from shopping when the victim prepared dinner and set the table for them to eat.

It was gathered that Origboshe was reluctant to eat the meal , claiming that it was too hot when ajuola queried him for shunning her food. An argument was reported to have ensued between them.

She reportedly rushed to the kitchen and emerged with a knife with which she injured her fiancé. The man afterwards went to a nearby store, where he bought a brand new knife which he allegedly used to stab her in the breast and in the stomach. ”

It was learnt that a professor in the university, who heard the cry from the house, rushed ajuola and Origboshe to a hospital, where she was confirmed dead.
