I have been following this thread since my 400level days . Gladly, now I'm done. Although I'm still awaiting my IT and final semester results.

Now my question: To calculate ones GPA on a 4 point scale emphasis is usually placed on the last 60 hrs. What about we in Engineering that our IT is usually 2nd semester in 400l which obviously fall within the last 60hrs, are we going to include it in our GPA calculation?

Also please I need links to full length practice test aside Power prep 2.

I just registered for GRE with B.Y mafit and my exam date is 2nd of May they gave detailed but numerous ebooks and Kaplan hard copy. My problem is how do i read everything with the limited time i have..Or do they have a study plan and areas to focus on to get more from the books and get high scores. Please i need gurus in the house to give me answers and those that had registered with B.Y Mafit before now please help a friend with replies

Just start. There are topics you will be familiar with. You don't have to get stuck on them. Focus on your weaknesses. Also, you can attend their lectures.

Firstly, how many years did engineers spend in school pre nysc, just 5 years. Compare it to the number of years doctors spend in school pre nysc, 6 years, plus extra year for housemanship. And don't forget that 5 out of doctors 6 years are continuous, there's no semester break, unlike engineering students that have so many semester breaks and holidays, so by medical school standards, engineers spend less than 3 years in school.

Compare the cost of studying medicine and the cost of studying engineering, they pay higher tuition and their textbooks are d most expensive.

Finally, note that ur pay is based on ur productivity. If nysc engineers were serving in engineering and manufacturing facilities as professional engineers, then maybe their pay can be increased, but since they are working as teachers, then they ought to b paid as teachers. Nysc doctors serve in hospitals, doing their jobs as professional doctors, therefore, they are paid as doctors.

Ultron you should not argue blindly or naively because you want to make doctors look like the overmerit theirs while undermining the struggles of an engineer.. research on it to be clarified.


And for saying that doctors are useless without u pple because u made d machines they use, are u aware that u will not be alive today without doctors because sickness and disease for don kill u.

And how dare u compare mth and mee courses with with medical courses, engineering courses are childs play when compared withe medical courses. Seems u haven't seen ANA301 and PTH courses.

lol.. why you bursting my brain? First off his point is not properly conveyed. Engineering is a professional course and should be treated as such. medical practitioners and lawyers dont get to be teachers for any reason during service that is because politics cannot override their association. Engineering association can be easily overlooked no one trusts the engineering sector its bad but then again ask yourself are you really an engineer brother? When last did you go to a seminar by NSE or are you a registered engineer before service... you cant achieve those fits befoere serving cos our regulatory bodies want you to serve before you get your professional status. trust me man, if you can get your required certification you will get relevant as you think you should... but dont fault doctors and lawyers because their professional stand is determined before they go to serve courtsey of their housmanship and lawschool respectively.. engineers technically need about 3 yearspost graduate work experience to get theirs.

They are not saying the more money is not good, they are saying more money when the colleagues that make up the hospital such as the medical lab scientists, the nurses, clerks and patients(not enough facilities for their welfare) are suffering that the pay rise should be focused on better and more pressing issues than them (the doctors)
