The government that can not even equip the state house hospital for the president and his family to treat themselves is doing what exactly? If the president can not use state resources to build a hospital that can save his life and the life of his family membees in Nigeria how do you expect him.to help you? By throwing 5000 naira your way monthly as if you are a rejected rat or what? The president's pets (if he has any) feed on tens of thousands monthly. Poverty mentality and mediocrity will not allow you see beyond your nose.

So social intervention program is just for food for one week abi? Mediocrity has killed you guys in Nigeria. You reason like animals. So celebrating poverty is what you are doing. Social intervention program that still live the people benefiting from it in abject poverty. If these money is used to build hospitals in various wards it will help the people more than giving them 5k to feed for a week (most of them will even spend it in less than 3 days).


People line up for this things NOT because they will die if they are not given these things, but because it's free, these women in the picture are old some 50 years and over, they've been surviving without the 5k and will continue to survive without the 5k. Without the 5k they will NOT die.

Why not provide them with electricity, hospitals and fertilizer subsidy, something that will truly empower them instead of money that some of them will just spend in a day or two. How do you guys reason?

Because in rural areas they manufacturer things abi. The last time I was in Nigeria, I was in Rural Ekiti, went for burial. 5000 naira can not feed a family of 3 or 4 for more than a week. It's a fact in all rural places in Nigeria.That's assuming they still farm some of their food items. If they don't farm it won't last more than 3 days.

This is nothing but vote buying. 5 thousand can not feed the people for me than a week. What kind of intervention is this that still leaves people in abject poverty?

The people that were killed in various parts of the north while worshipping in churches were all shouting Jesus, Jesus while the Muslims kept killing them. now you are also making assumptions here. that's the point. it COULD be. you are very dismissive of the idea of god creating the universe, but you accept the possibility of these assumptions. if you are willing to accept these possibilities, what makes god so different?

BTW, the universe being created by intelligent beings from another universe would mean those beings are gods... afterall, they created the universe. you are also willing to consider this possibility even when there is an obvious question of who created the other universe.

Theistic claims are empty. They are man made claims all of them. You know the universe had a beginning or you believe the opinion of others that claim it has a beginning? Show me the beginning of the universe since it's something you know. Show me the universe beginning. People have stated that the universe started expanding at a point and that what it expanded from is what they do not know, others have stated other wise. The universe having a beggining is not an established scientific fact talk more of t being created.

God and the creation of the universe are two separate things. The universe could be eternal and God could still exist for example. You are conflating two different issues here.

I don't know of the universe was created has nothing to do with my disbelief in Gods. The universe could be eternal, the universe could be created by intelligent beings that exist in another .ore advanced universe outside our own. There are many possibilities.
