Without a functional ECT sensor on your 2005 accord, your car is literally slowly dying. Please do everything you can to get it fixed, even if it means replacing the radiator with the correct one. Your ecu uses the information from the ECT to make adjustments to the running of the engine. There's something called closed loop and open loop. Your car will permanently be on open loop, which means dumping fuel in ur engine.

Your current radiator should have fan switch in place of the ECT. The problem is that the ECT will not fit into the hole for the fan switch. So it is either you replace the whole radiator, or you find a way to convert the thread hole for the fan switch to fit the ECT.
I had same problem a while ago and I actually converted the thread. I won't advice you to do what I did cos I can only trust myself to do such work well since a leaking radiator is equally a death sentence for your engine. Just replace your radiator ASAP for peace of mind.

Would you advise a toks radiator or brand new.Walahi! I am now seen reasons to avoid Naija used cars when buying my next car. These cars are not well maintained. Maybe its because there are no proper serive certers in Nigeria and the very few are expensive.

While sitting in the car. The driver side. At the end of your left leg there is a fuse compartment. Open it and look at tye diagram behind it.

Right there is a diagram of where all the fuses for your electricals are. Look at their images and it's corresponding number.

Take a torch 🔦 bend down at the fuse compartment and locate the exact fuse position by its corresponding numbering, pull it out and replace it with the corresponding fuse of same rating (nothing more or less) with what is displayed on the diagram aka a 10amp fuse with another 10amp fuse too AND NOT 15 or 20amp types.

Use new fuses, DO NOT USE WIRE TO BRIDGE THE FUSE SO AS NOT TO CAUSE A FIRE or fry another innocent circuit.

So the last part of your statement is what could cause a fire?

I guess it's your maf sensor( what our kazeems called airflometer) but scan the car to be sure.

If it's the truth, VDM is safe. Truth and fair comments are defences to libel and defamation. For the Interior Minister to take steps, it shows there are elements of truth in the publications.
