We love sensational stories as a country and as a people. And it is very very shameful.
We hate to ask deeper questions. And that is a major problem with Nigeria and Nigerians.
This country won't get any better until we like to ask deeper and meaningful questions.
I once recall when one ex Rivers State Governor and minister was coming on twitter space. Everyone was being sentimental until I ask a very harmless question. The man could not give a direct answer. I was later removed from the space. And my one year blue tick wen I be buy was suddenly terminated and no refund till date. Any time I remember, I go just laugh and keep quiet.
Well! Make I nor talk too much. Make IMF produce the report and also show us how they arrived at their conclusions. Make we self see and study for ourselves.
We will like to know if we might arrive at the same conclusions or not.
Until then, na laugh I dey laugh at all these kind sensational stories.
This man knows no shit. The question is that office supposed to be created by an Act of Parliament or not? That's just one of 2m questions.
When these questions arises, how will he answer?
Someone who would have gladly resigned when he saw the hand writing on the wall is busy trying to play the emotional card.
Nigerians don't remember. They easily forget and move on. But are quick to cheer you to the gallows. We love hot gist and something to gloat about. That's all.
I sure hope he has enough financial and legal war chest for the journey ahead.
First, he admitted buying that office for a fee. That's an admission against personal interest. And he has to prove that the funds were linked directly to the man he is accusing.
How does he intend to prove that material admission?
Damn! The journey ahead is long. I wish him and his legal team well.
It's always good to seek professional legal counsel at every point as a professional in any field of endeavour.
Even a rookie that can't afford professional legal counsel should atleast make friends with a litigator or two that he can seek counsel from over a dinner or something bottles of beer. Not a Barrister or Solicitor, but a hard core Litigator.
Don't be caught off guard and left scrambling like this gentleman.
anuofGod: Amala, gbegiri, ewedu and beef stew I made the gbegiri using an iron sieve and the ewedu was made with ijabe (whisking broom) and locust beans from Oyo town.
Heavenly! Can you drop guidance on how to make that pepper stew without oil? I love that stuff but don't know how they make it.

Erickson or what is his name again oo showed Nigeria atarodo dindin in that game. But Ronaldo was outstanding. Good ole days when boys loved football. Nobody gets that time again to sit and watch a round leather being kicked around for 90mins.
I need advice regarding a house I recently rented through an agent.
I have not stayed in the apartment for up to 3 days, but I have discovered a major problem that is seriously affecting my work and income. There is virtually no mobile network inside the house. MTN, Airtel, and Glo all fail indoors. I have tested multiple phones and networks in every room, including the parlour, kitchen, and bedrooms. The only way I can get a little signal is by opening the door or going outside. As I write this, my younger brother and friend are outside late at night trying to get network access. I also use several phones and a laptop for my work, so this issue has already affected my productivity and earnings. The building is relatively new, and this problem was never mentioned by the agent before I paid. Had I known that there was no usable network inside the apartment, I would have seriously reconsidered renting it because my work depends heavily on internet access.
My questions are:
If I report this to the landlord and agent and they refuse to refund my money or provide a solution, what are my options?
Can such a matter be reported to the police, or is it strictly a civil matter?
Does this situation give me any legal grounds to seek a refund or compensation, considering I discovered the issue almost immediately after moving in?
I would appreciate advice from anyone who has experienced something similar or has knowledge of tenancy and property matters in Nigeria.
Thank you
Hehehehe!! The demons in your apartment don't like local internet. E dey disturb them. It's either you quietly park out or you buy starlink. That one is above local demons.
Newsmills: Police annoyances are there is no way to rewrite the story to place them in the centre of the story,so no way to infuse we are on top of the situation, very usefully carefree organisation. The commissioner of police wouldn't be able to brief the governor.
Local hunters are now outshining the masters of " plenty grammar to take the shine". Didn't Robert Greene once advised not to ever outshine the masters.
Masters hate competition and want to always take the glory even when nothing was done by the masters. You spoil the shine, you suffer for it.
One reason you need local or state policing anyway.
Mind you, I didn't say anything oooo. I was simply quoting Robert Greene. Infact I never chop since morning before them go come try put their anger on the masses.
Hehehehehe! You want Nigerians to elect you to fix what you don't know. And if you get there and you discover it's what you can't solve, those who elected you would enter " one chance"?
This is more like applying for a job you know nothing about, but telling your employer to employ you anyway.
Hope those obidient mobs are learning that their Agulu Messiah is not ready for the job of a President and has no business with Aso Rock?
TunezMediaTV: Nigerian songbird, Arya Star has come out to reply her critics after getting severely dragged by fellow women for her sheer looks to a recent performance.
Rocking a sheet polkadot skirt the Sabi Girl crooner left little to the imagination with her pink undies showing through.
If you look closely, Mdam don wet full ground. She is enjoying her life, sha. What do I know? She had better given her life to Christ before it is too late. Cos all these for fame and money that you can't take with you to the grave? Again, what do I know?
Rapmoney: This is one bitter truth you should always remind yourself of as an employee. It is even worse for people who work in organisations owned by one person or a particular family.
Your employer will never pay you what will make you have enough resources to live a comfortable life.
REASONS: 1. You will be in a better position to walk out of situations that you don't like in the workplace.
2. You will be in a better position to resign and start your own business.
Most Nigerian employers are just like the government. They give you just what is enough for you to survive, and not to succeed.
As an employer, you should realize that the people working for you also have their personal dreams and visions. Your business is your vision, and not theirs. So as they work for you to build your vision, the job should as give them the platform to build theirs. If your vision is being built, and theirs remain unachievable, then there is something wrong with you and your business system.
Last week, I attended a webinar where one of the so-called Nigerian industry giants was admonishing workers to be dedicated and put in their best. I didn't have any issue with that, but when he concluded by saying that salary doesn't matter, that what matters is passion and dedication, I shook my head. We have really lost it! You fly first class to different parts of the world. You buy choice properties. Your kids attend some of the best schools abroad. All from the proceeds of your business, and you open your mouth to tell me that salary doesn't matter?
If you know what it takes to keep a business going and also pay salaries, not minding the expensive cost of doing buisness, you will be grateful to even have a job.
[quote author=jaephoenix post=139649178]Hope you know those herbs can actually hasten ones demise. If someone has an inherent liver or kidney disease, he could slowly be killing his organs with herbs[/quote
All these problems will disappear if you walk about 10km weekly and fast 18 hrs a day in a week and 48hrs straight aleast once a month with bitter leaf or celery juice.
That's all.
Out fathers in the village didn't do all the needless medical test or whatever. Sometimes, these test are even the problem. They make you panic, put you on unnecessary pharmaceutical medications that might caused unexpected complications.
Also, we tend to copy unnecessary Western life styles these days. Too many fast food, Air conditioned bed room, office and cars. Many don't even breath natural airs, but practically live their lives in a refrigerator.
They call it enjoyment. When was the last time you spent time alone, by your self or went into nature. Or cooked yourself in native roots and herbs like our fathers before us?
Those men did hard labour till 80s and could still stand and marry wives and have kids. But you dey city dey do fine man and dey pour chemicals for body thinking it's enjoyment.
Na enjoyment until the result shows up after a few years.
Sleep, drinks roots and herbs, eat farmented foods and drink natural alcohols and have as much sex as possible. Nothing go do you.
Abi I lie I dey talk? Nor answer until you visit the local villages around the Niger delta areas.
Qwikkie: No, seriously. Sit down for this one. We've all heard the word cancer thrown around so much that we've somehow become numb to it. We think it's something that just… happens. Like bad luck. Like it falls from the sky and lands on some people and skips others. But what if I told you that what's sitting in your kitchen right now could be part of the problem?
Cancer rarely shows up overnight. It builds. Quietly. Slowly. Meal by meal, day by day, while you're going about your life completely unbothered.
Now let's talk about the two biggest culprits.
First: processed meats. Your sausages. Your hot dogs. That canned corned beef you've been eating since childhood. The smoked fish. The lunch meat you throw in your sandwich every morning without thinking twice. The World Health Organization, not a blogger, not a conspiracy theorist, the actual World Health Organization, has classified processed meats as Group 1 Carcinogens.
You know what else is in Group 1? Cigarettes. Group 1 means the evidence isn't shaky. It's not a theory. There is sufficient proof that these foods cause colorectal cancer. They didn't whisper it. They published it.
Then there's the canned food situation. not ALL canned food. Don't come for us. But this what you need to know: Many cans are lined with a chemical called Bisphenol-A, or BPA. And when that chemical, especially under heat starts leaching into your food, it doesn't announce itself. It just quietly enters your body and over time, raises your cancer risk. You can't see it. You can't taste it. That's what makes it dangerous.
So what do you do?
The WHO isn't telling you to live on vegetables and air. But they ARE saying, reduce your intake. Be intentional. Read your labels. Know what you're actually eating.
Because your most frequent habits become your health outcomes. That thing you eat every day? That thing you've normalised? That's the thing worth questioning.
You don't have to change everything at once. But you have to start somewhere and that somewhere is awareness.
Share this with someone who needs to see it. Because caring about people means telling them the truth, even when it's uncomfortable.
Even your shahet (pure water) and it's bottled sisters can cause problems. Especially if they have been exposed to sunshine (heat) for a period. And 90% of these stuffs are always exposed to heat.
Damn! This matter is going to Supreme Court. It might be adjudged a mere academic exercise by then. That is if the Applicant/Respondent ( Political Party) eventually wins.
Dear God, help us do more of pro bono work this year and beyond. Load us with more cases of these nature and provide capable hands and resources to see it through. Amen.

When you wake on the morning that your village people are after you as a police officer. But your love for money will let you walk into your village people's trap. Just imagine how he ended up sentencing that innocent 3 months old baby to death by slapping. They should produce him at his village square and allow the village people to slap him to death in return. Atleast, one good slap deserves many other multiple slaps.
No pun intended.
But on a serious note, if you are a man in the Country, working or serving in the force or in the private sector or as a contractor, please ensure you are always prayerful and be intentional in what you do. Many people fit dey swear for you daily make you nor know.
Especially if you a police man, officer, mobile police or bakaassi. Just be prayerful man.
Chai! They have Gani Fawehimied Osifo. So, you mean being an indigene of Edo State, even his immediate family and kinsmen didn't vote for him? Ha! Haha!
Tell Nigerians the truth. You allegedly once collected gigs from them and now that you broke the deal by collecting from another party, you afraid you might be in hot soup. You can't play both sides and seek sympathy from the masses. Kolewerk!
