There is a saying in, our part of the world that the head and tail of a snake always follow the same route or path...where the head follows the tail must .....as for the ignorance about colours , I admit maybe my background had a lot to do with my knowledge of them. I grew up in warri not just warri but Effurun so I already knew a lot about cultism and colours before ever entering the university..... Not for one day did I ever had an occasion to contemplate whether or not to join.

The violence I had experience back in Jakpa junction to Alaka, JJC areas where I grew up were already enough for a lifetime. My younger ones all took after me. I am proud to declare that not one of them had anything to do with those guys as members but I knew a lot of them because they were of my age bracket but not one even bothered to ask me whether I wanted to be a member. They even come to my family house then... My closet pal was a member the on but he would always say that we the juews were lucky

All through my schooling days in Unec, not for once did anyone ever harass me as a cultist. As a matter of fact, they wanted my friendship because I was good and simple and sometimes supervised exams and could help them with by allowing them seat amongst ’oku’...or ’Machines’. I look more like an undercover detective and one asked me in my finsll year for my colour and I told him to find out for himself... He told me that their cult group, axe, had wanted to know all this year where I belong and I simply told him they ought to have come straight to me and ask.

On graduation, they saw me with everybody, Vikings, aye, 22 and whatever.. I had no colour affiliation... Went out my my girlfriend later that night as we both graduated the same day.
