In view of this, there is going to be a week orientation exercise from 27/02/2020 to 04/02/2020 for all officers.(2017 officers are mandatory for the exercise)

You are to report to your Local government command to make payment of #10,000 to your commander for the orientation exercise from now to 24/01/2020.
Note: Payment and posting is first come first serve.

The 10k is meant for settlement....so the law makers will quickly pass the bill to absorb PCN officers...it is not compulsory but its important.

I understand that is not every Nigerian that has the privilege to read the Harmonized Terms and Condition of Service for armed forces before applying to join the service.

The terms and condition of service booklet is a manual, a guide from which decision regarding recruitment and career progression is based. If you are close to any officer, just try and read through the booklet

You will be made to sign the terms and conditions of service the moment you are commissioned which will be legally binding. They do this as insurance against unnecessary litigations that will come up as a result of some officers being retired at a very young rank.

To cut the long story short, every rank has an age ceiling, you will be retired at a rank as soon as your age is above the limit for that rank.

Remember, army subtly passed a quiet message in the SSC and DSSC advert that conversion to regular is not automatic, conversion is according to vacancy, that means the competition will be high. You must meet up with the requirements age, performance evaluation report, medical fitness inclusive. Many DSSC guys will start retiring at the rank of Lt Col

It's so sad that we still practice this "pinning" here in Nigeria.
This obviously won't help u in the battle field. Walahi it's just sad that we can be wicked to ourselves just because one is at a higher position that the other at the moment.
But honestly, NA should be humane during training to an extent. Although I fully support military drills and psychological training to kanybody this

Pinning of head strengthened ur neck muscles.... Datz the more reason so many soldiers make use of there head when fighting.

Instructors also use it to ascertain how long u can endure pain....the last dssc cadet also pin there head for at most 1hour....but SSC....u go pin am tire.
