Bros, I really appreciate your sense of response to the questions you've responded to. May God grease your elbow. Talking about divorce, like someone posted recently, the best antidote is not to mis-marry. During courtship, the true nature of an individual should be exposed enough for the partner to know. Every shortcomings should be addressed at this stage; whatever problem either party can't handle during courtship will grow beyond control in marriage. I guess the problem today is that most people go into marriage believing God for a change of behaviour or character of their spouse. No, God has given us brain so we can give Him rest.

Marriage is for mature people, not necessarily in terms of age. By maturity I mean the ability to make decision and stand by it at all costs. Hence, it takes spiritual maturity, emotional maturity, physical maturity, and mental maturity to get into marriage.
I'm also 25, still a virgin, but building up myself in these four areas of maturity. If there be any divorce, it can be traced to one or two of these key areas of maturity. God didn't promise us a journey free of trouble, but He has given us the strength to walk the walk. My bible says if your strength fail in the day of trouble, it's not that the trouble is beyond your control but because you lack the adequate strength to handle it (Prov. 24:10).

It was disorganised by virtue of the extra 6 hours of daylight. That was what science accounted for every four years by adding an extra day to February.

Geographically, it was the earth rotation that was halted because the night took extra hours to come. Biblically speaking, it was the Sun that seized..but either way, science actually proved that an unusual longer day in the Bible disorganised the calendar.

ghazzal: is the battle over? then it is already a past. the period of a past event can not affect the future...thats not the reason for leap year. science has expalined that the earth revolves round the sun in an orbit in free space.
due to other forces in space, it sometimes miss its orbit and forms another orbit. the time that it misses it orbit must be accounted for. and who says the earth revolves for 365 1/4 days. this is just a reference. the actual word is "about" or in the leap year, how many days is the revolution?

It might be a scientific reference as you call it. But it's a valid reference based in the Word of God. Whatever additional reason that might be responsible for the leap year still answers to the Creator of the universe. The earth is His footstool..let Him toss it to wherever He pleases..and let Science give it a name and theoretical explanation.

There you go again, God is nothing to be compared to a god. The crux is that whatever idol people worship works for them..but it won't be soon when you discover the limits of the idols. Only the true God is the unlimited god, but a man must be redeemed of his sins and accept to take the way to Him before he can have access to the Father. For practical examples, visit any bible-based church and see for yourself.

When I speak to some of these hook line and sinker bible believing christians, they can never give a good a explanation on why according to the bible, God will choose to favour one set of his children against the others, going so far as killing all the first born of the children of Egypt. The God of the Bible has many names..His names come by way of His acts among the children of men. Our God is a consuming fire, yet..He's the God of love.

2good: I have experienced alot of things that defies human explanation and accept ignorance on such subject matters pending when I have the exact evidence to back up my claims. No, you're wrong. That's not the difference between you two. The difference is that you continue to seek for knowledge and do as many research as possible to prove facts, which are temporal..but the other guy, he's given himself to the truth which does not change. But you know what, Science will continue to prove the truth but will never know the truth. 2nd Timothy 3v1 and 7 says in the perilous time, people will give themselves to learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. If didn't claim a day is missing or added. What I want you to know is that the 1/4 days that resulted from what happened in Joshua's days was what led to the additional 0.25 days we have today, and which resulted into a day added in a leap year.

For your information, if the earth is 4.54 billion years old geologically, then we would have had an etra 0.25*4.54billion= 1.135billion years.
Then to give you a little benefit of the doubt by assuming that the earth is 6,000 years old based on biblical stories, then it means there have been an additional 0.25*6000=1,500 years so far. Are you saying the earth stood still in the presence of Joshua for 1,500 years(if we use the bible) or 1.135 billion years(geological time) when the oldest man in the world according to the bible is less than 1500 years? Does that make any sense to you at all? You have a brain so please use it to think before you type anything in the public. You make the people with Science and Engineering background in this forum look daft by engaging people like you in a discussion.

Do you have an idea that some Egyptians were copying what the Israelites were doing despite the fact they don't know the reasons for doing it?
