Zeal0000007: Secondly, you said she's 18 and learning "Chemist". Please let her concentrate on her studies for now. If she start University education by 20 (considering WAEC and JAMB) she can graduate by 25 which is still a good age to start life. You can't say what tomorrow holds, being a medicine vendor without quality education is not the best way to face the future. Just my 1 Cent. 2 Likes |

Seems like the script of THE BRIDGE (Yoruba movie). The couples went against everybody's advice and got married - because they are dunk in love for each other. They did lots of genotype testing for the fetuses, and they kept aborting each time. The woman was taking it in until one day, she got tired of life and the whole abortion trauma. As fate would have it, they were lucky to get an AS at their 5th attempt or so. The woman, being a career woman, she was working from home and out of tiredness, she accidentally suffocated the baby at 2 months or so. All hell broke loss..... Well, as for OP, I don't wish you eveik but if you can do away with getting married, for the sake of your conscience and extended family (in-laws inclusive), you need to let go. Go and find another lady. But if you insist, you can try getting either egg/sperm donor for yourself/wife (from an AA donor of course) then followed by IVF to transfer the developing baby into your wife's womb each time you want to have a baby. It sounds crazy though and it will cost you lots of money - I believe your love is worth more. Ire ò. |

Kobojunkie: Jesus Christ's word is the subject of this post. Now, there are foods that are meant for dogs and those meant for the children. The Canaanite woman prefer the latter abd that was what prompted the statement of Jesus Christ. As you rightly said, Jesus sent His disciples to the last sheep of Israel. But, as soon as the Holy Spirit came, the Children's food became available to us all. One of the signs was the tearing of the curtain covering the Holies of Holies in the Temple when Jesus Christ breathed His last on the Cross. Did you know that the curtain was ripped from top to bottom? That can only happen in one way: an individual "held" it at the top and tore it apart..so that What was "restricted" can be "accessed" by all. PEACE. |

Kobojunkie: Just reading this today. Okay, if you read up Matt 11:28-30 in a version such as The Message, you will get a clearer perspective of what Jesus mean by light burden - which is simply a different way of life which is different from what Religion has placed upon many of us as a yoke. If you're saying Jesus is a different version of God's law, you're not wrong, however, the coming of Jesus fulfilled all the Laws of God...and purchased for us what it takes to be in right standing with God - with His blood. John 15:13. You will agree with me that none of the Holy Spirit's commandment is grievous please. |

@farggie, I couldn't respond to your advise (about not going to the visa appointment separately from my spouse) on the last thread because it has been closed. Pls, can you shed more light around how the interview was conducted? Did they assign different VOs to you and your spouse or you interviewed with the same VO at the same time? I don't know if your spouse was asked what she will be doing in the US during your program, what was her response? Can you also please share your transcript, you and I have certain things in common. Thank you in anticipation. |

fairheart: Welldone for the good works. Please I need your input on my case: As an F1 visa applicant, I indicated I will be travelling with my family (of 4, myself inclusive), and in the DS-160 application, I quoted it there that I will be sponsoring their trip. Even though the school did not object to this (base on the balance on my statement of account) I have concerns in the following areas: Will it be advisable we all go for the visa appointment together or should I apply alone and let them apply for their F2 separately? If we all go together, I plan on using landed properties, business, and parents as tie to Nigeria, will this be acceptable?? OR can I simply tell the VO that the essence of their coming was for them to obtain their visa so that they can come around during vacations? I appreciate every responses I can get to enable me scale through. Thanks 1 Like |

Seanjay: There is really no cause for alarm here. You need to ask your sister if she had anything to do with "Branch" - maybe she took a loan from them at one point because they usually obtain their Customers card details (with heir consent) as a means of repayment. If she has nothing to do with them, then it's time to take the fight to their office. Rest your mind. My 1 Cent. 2 Likes |
Crime / Re: Nigerians Blame Banks For Negligence As Robbers Visit Homes With POS Machines by damilarelr(m): 6:40pm On Apr 22, 2020 |
POS machines are wired to take in PIN as the last information to input before the fund in the cards account will be moved to the account linked to the POS. The issue here is that for a POS to be able to verify PIN, it shows there's been a modification of its software..and that's a serious issue. Such POS should not be allowed into the Nigerian financial atmosphere. CBN should direct all Banks with such POS to withdraw them from circulation and equally deactivate the lost ones with immediate effect. The truth of the matter is that Money can never be lost..even when it has been converted to airtime like what most of these fraudsters do, the telcos should help in identifying those who registered for the phone numbers. Our NCC should direct all telsocs to maintain a single database for all of their Customers such that an individual can only have one number on a network per time..so that even when you misplace your number and welcome back is impossible, your information must be delinked from the lost line before you can be issued another one while the lost line will be deactivated. A lot can be achieved if we have the right set of leaders who, if nothing else, can copy/replicate what other country does.. With full cooperation of the telcos, and armed forces, just any crime can be curbed. |
Religion / Re: 4 Reasons I'm Considering Becoming An Atheist by damilarelr(m): 7:54am On Jan 03, 2020 |
predatorX: Firstly, my response was directed at the Op - because his reasons for wanting out stem from biblical confusions. What you hear your Pastor preach has a way of establishing you and prevent you f dry om wanting to become an unbeliever. Definitely, you don't need th he Bible to know if God exists. Everything around us speaks of His glory and majesty. I don't think I need to explain more than that. As for the wars and retaliations recorded in the Bible, they are historical events of what happened to the Jewish nation - recorded for our own profiting today. Not that God hated/loved some people than the other, He's just being Gid when he allows it s as human to use the freewill given to us. Why do we have good people and bad people? We are humans and we dominate this earth either by our own freewill or by being influenced by spiritual powers - good or evil. |

Religion / How To Pray Earnest Prayers by damilarelr(m): 9:34pm On Apr 01, 2018 |
The New Testament recorded two major prayers which Elijah prayed in the Old Testament. 'Elijah was a man subject to like passions as we are,...and he PRAYED EARNESTLY that it might not rain: and it rained not.....and he PRAYED AGAIN, and the heaven gave rain...'!!! (James 5:17&18 ) Wow! Take note how the Bible defined the prayers of Elijah at the 2 different scenarios. When Elijah wanted to stop rain from falling....the Bible said he PRAYED EARNESTLY! But when he wanted to pray for rain to fall, the Bible said he PRAYED AGAIN (i.e. not earnestly)! Now we have 2 kinds of prayers: 1. EARNEST PRAYER 2. SIMPLE PRAYER or ORDINARY PRAYER Keep following.. Now let us visit the Old Testament to see 'how' Elijah actually prayed these 2 prayers: You ready? When Elijah wanted to stop rain from falling, see what he said: '...as the LORD God of Israel liveth, before WHOM I STAND, there shall not be dew nor rain these years, but ACCORDING TO MY WORD'! (1Kings 17:1) Hmm.... When Elijah wanted to "pray" for God's judgment....he was only DECLARING based on his STANDING before God! He did not go to a mountain to pray this prayer! He only declared it with full assurance that it must come to pass! This is what the New Testament called...EARNEST PRAYER! '...and he PRAYED EARNESTLY that it might not rain: and it rained not...' (James 5:17) But when it was time to pray for God's blessing that rain should fall, Elijah 'forgot' his standing before God! The Bible said: '...Elijah went up to the top of (Mount) Carmel; and he cast himself down upon the earth, and put his face between his knees,....' (1kings 18:42) Aba!!! In fact, he retained this posture while he asked his servant to go and check if there is a sign of rain SEVEN times! Hmm.... Now listen carefully: The New testament did not term this second prayer as an EARNEST prayer! Instead, it was simply termed 'prayer'! '...and he PRAYED again, and the heaven gave rain...'!!! (James 5:18) You see, under the Old Covenant, people had more faith in God's judgment than in God's blessing! They make declarations to enact God's judgment but they believe they had to pray 'long' prayers to call for God's blessings!!! Hear this: you are no longer under the Old Covenant practice! (Romans 6:14). Start having more faith in God's blessings than in God's judgment! It is NOT how LONG you pray....that guarantees answers to your prayer! It is WHO you are praying to that guarantees answers to your prayer! Elijah simply declared that ...'As the LORD God liveth...BEFORE WHOM I STAND...there shall be no rain'! And God honoured his words! Listen: You are the RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD IN CHRIST and you are also STANDING before God...through the finished work of Christ! See this: '...by faith into this Grace wherein we STAND...'! (Romans 5:2) So when you pray, simply declare your STANDING before God via the blood of Jesus, and command that situation to change! This is what heaven calls EARNEST PRAYER!!! You don't need to go to a mountain before God will hear your prayer! You don't need to take a punishing posture like Elijah before God can send you rain! Or else heaven will record that as 'praying again' instead of 'Earnest prayer'! Simply declare what you want based on your STANDING in the finished work! Did you know that what you have today Elijah never had it then?? Elijah was standing in his own righteousness! You are standing in Jesus' righteousness! Elijah was a servant of God! You are a SON of God! (John 1:12) In conclusion: please note that John the baptist was 'Elijah' in the New Testament. (Matt 17:10-13) But the Bible says something very important about the status of a believer in Jesus! 'Verily I say unto you, among them that are born of women, there hath not risen a greater than John the Baptist: notwithstanding HE THAT IS LEAST IN THE KINGDOM OF HEAVEN (a believer) is GREATER THAN JOHN THE BAPTIST'! (Matt 11:11) Wow! You are GREATER than John the Baptist!!! You are GREATER than Elijah!!! Stop begging God to send blessings to you! Rather, start declaring your STANDING before God....and place demands knowing you are the righteousness of God in Christ...and you are God's beloved! This is what the New Testament refers to as EARNEST PRAYER!!! It works like fire! Hallelujah! Amen. 1 Like 1 Share |

paxonel: My brother, there are many factors responsible for those "fire and brimstone" prayers. Some times people are affected by culture: they liken God to god thinking they can be served same way. Another factor is doctrine, some don't believe you are praying a serious prayer until you "take it by force" getting physical about it in shouting. God help us. 1 Like |
