GrayBeard:sure man, are you on voobly |
AIIyIic:I was probably in your shoes about two years ago, about to enter this new field everyone is talking about but unsure of the prospects in it. I summoned the courage to start and everyday I always check all these job search sites to be sure the prospect is there. I just continued learning as much as I can from the basics to the advanced concepts and presently I work for three companies remotely. I sleep anytime I want and I wake anytime I want as long as I deliver. May I let you know that, of all the three jobs I got, degree was not part of the discussion nor criteria for employment since I was able to demonstrate my skills and they saw the value in me, they gave me the shot. So when it comes to software development (web, andriod, IoS, Dev Ops, etc) your degree doesn't count, it's what you can do that matters. The value you can provide. So dear just keep learning and keep adding value to yourself, jobs will come and money will come because time is not money but value is money. Your value will determine your pay in most cases. |
*zooms in* Nice thread Op. So am currently learning Angular and Php. What are you learning currently? |
cc lalasticlala cc fynestboy cc seun Mods please this is front page worthy, let the world knows the great injustice presently going on in OAU, our VC has gone too far. Anyone that knows anyone that knows anyone in a seat of power should help us connect to them to help us intervene on behalf of the students, They are not criminals. #FreeOAUStudents #TheyAreNotCriminals #OgunbodedeMustGo |
That is awo hall, the dirtiest hostel on campus, there are other hostels that are actually better than this |
Being an Arsenal fan and refusing to join another club ![]() |
Op it seems you didn't do your findings well before compiling this list. OAU pays between #19,700 - #30,700 depending on faculty |

Nnamdi Kanu is a confused fellow |
Op are you a First Class person in life? I quote from your post "...In school, its easy to read, memorize and pass examinations..." if it was easy did you graduate with a first class? When you give birth to your children, will you tell them not be make First Class? Nonsense Bunch of losers with no positivity to add to the society than to just try to discourage young minds. Before we know what happens, they'll start calling Bill Gates and Dangote that they did not have First Class. Useless thread. |
which work did she do that she will collect 20k.

horpeh01:Congrats bro, I also got the letter too and m also in OAU is there any way we can arrange for a meeting, I need clarification on something in the letter |
Somebodee:Dont worry, yours is on the way. oya claim it. ![]() |
inschool:The 400lvl and 500lvl in my dept didn't apply cos the 400lvl students were on IT and the 500lvl students are in their final semester. And don't forget that as we go higher in classes the number of people above 4.0 decreases so I guess that could also affect why we have very few number of beneficiaries from 400 n 500lvl |
Riclord001:would that be necessary, you can ask what needs to be clarified right on this forum and who knows someone else might also needs that clarity and gain from it. ![]() |
Somebodee:well am to just fill the form I was given and attach the necessary documents and return to the DSA and wait for alert. ![]() |
inschool:Thanks, I'm in OAU, I wrote it when I was in 200lvl so I'm currently in 300lvl. |
Somebodee:Thanks ..I got a call from the DSA |
Okay apart from the general courses you'd take in Electronic and Electrical Engineering there are four options given to students to specialize in, so I'd mention the areas and the course you'd take under them. 1. Communication Engineering You'd do the following course under this area Radio Frequency Electronics Wireless Communication Communications Theory Telecommunication Engineering Computer Communications 2. Control and Instrumentation Engineering we have Introduction to Modern Control Instrumentation Engineering Control Systems Engineering Modelling and simulation of Dynamic Systems 3. Electrical Machines and Power Engineering we have Power Electronic Devices and circuits Power System Engineering I & II High Voltage Engineering 4. Electronic Materials and Device Technology(Solid State) we have Semiconductor Devices Optical Electronics Microfabrication Technology VLSI Design Nanotechnology and Nanoelectronics Vacuum and other thin film processing. So for those who think Electronics and Electrical Engineering is about joining wires, this is an eye opener for you. |
Guys I wrote the exam around feb/mar this year and I just got my award letter today from my sch DSA unit. So I guess it's convenient to say they have started giving out award letters to this year's beneficiaries. |
patogist:Where is the venue? ![]() |
Who knows, the wife might have denied him sex and urged him to wait until after their wedding, and the man just couldn't wait till they get to the other room ![]() |
Jesuspikin8:That it was difficult for the white guys to crack doesn't mean it's uncrackable. At least we hear of cases of Nigerians being the best graduating student in universities abroad and they beat the white guys flat, I should tell you we actually have brains in Nigeria, we just don't know. |
Jesuspikin8: Jesuspikin8:That you couldn't do it doesn't mean it's impossible what is Impossible for you might just be a piece of cake for others. Deal with it guys |
demo4show: Geofavor: NairalandSARS:These guys should be worshipped |
sanyahkod:lets know the name of the course na, who knows it might be an elective ![]() |
As an undergraduate in a University, there are moments we feel like the whole world is against us and there are moments when we feel on top of the world. One of such events that can create such moments is the release of a result. We have heard cases where students break down in tears or in a worse case commit suicide on seeing a result. But on this thread we are going to look at the positive side of seeing a result. Yeah! that moment you see the result of one of your courses and you're like 'damn! I rule the world' So in this thread we're gonna be sharing the highest score we ever got in a course as an undergraduate. to get the ball rolling, I'll start My highest was in Engineering Thermodynamics(CHE201), 97A ![]() |
Earth2Metahuman:you were not there, so don't be quick to judge, that's someone's child there |
