Politics / Re: Oronsaye Report Outdated, Won’t Reduce Governance Cost — Falana by Dancebreaker: 10:20am On Feb 28
richiemcgold:

...but all these years, these same people (including Falana) have been advocating full implementation of oronsaye's report. Why kicking against it now that you're about to get it implemented?

Nigerian activists are the most confused in the world, walahi.

Although Falana can be inconsistent in his utterances, but see his point below. We now have 1316 agencies unlike 263 in 2011-2014. We also cannot afford NASS as it is now or a large FG with so many aids/advisers.

“Whereas the Report recommended the reduction of 263 agencies to 151, the number of ministries, departments and agencies has increased to 1316. Even the current administration has increased the number of ministries and created new agencies. To that extent, the Steve Oronsaye Report is completely outdated."

Reviewing it carefully to improve and update it before implementation is a sound idea.

Avoid olofofo women. Dem fit put you for trouble.

Avoid overfamiliarity. One girl or woman may be coming to your room to borrow one thing or the other.

Even though you only help with church mind, rumours may start flying around. You fit get into trouble with her hubby or bf.

You can by and large handle the guys more easily.

Tinubu is here to pack the shit of Yaradua, GEJ and Buhari.
Asiwaju met poo 5cm high, he added his own to make it the height of Mount kilimanjaro.

None of his predecessors made one pound to be over 2k Naira.

Blame game won't help. He said he has been preparing for Aso Rock since 2007. Let him grab the pile of poo quickly and run with it.

Grab the mandate and grab the poo.

Norway is a very sane place. Nor be gra gra place.

If you want a calm and high quality life, places like Norway, Finland and Denmark are you sure plugs. Though cold and expensive.

Omo! I bought a brand new plasma TV to watch that game. To see that miss in that widescreen was even worse. grin grin grin cheesy cheesy cheesy

Otherwise, Yak's goal tally in EPL was one of the best for an African player, even when only playing for average clubs.

Because Sallah plays football somewhat effortlessly, and does not look energetic or gangling like Drogba, Kanu or Toure, people underestimate his skills. He's absolutely top draw.

If not because he's playing in the era of some phenomenal talents, just like Thierry Henry was back then, Sallah should have won Ballon D'or by now.

There are some sections of people who believe they know everything. At times due to tribalism-induced arrogance of believing they are better educated.

When you underestimate others, you make foolish mistakes.

Politics / Re: Edo: Who Has Your Vote Among These 3 Candidates? by Dancebreaker: 1:40pm On Feb 24
Urgent1Million:
I see the case of Atiku's desperation replaying in the governorship election in Edo state.
Obaseki should've allowed Shuaibu to succeed him in peace.
Now that they are scheming him out, once he loses in court, he'll split the PDP votes heavily.
Whether we like it or not, Philip Shuaibu is a core grassroots politician in Edo state whose decision to side with Obaseki helped the latter win the fight against Oshiomhole.
With Akpata's emergence as LP candidate, a few old PDP guys who aren't benefiting from Obaseki will switch over to his side. APC will have a shaking if they don't put their house in order very quickly. We all know Oshiomhole would want his pound of flesh since his candidate did not pick the ticket.
It's going to be a complex permutation of events.
State resources vs federal might vs Oshiomhole's internal betrayals vs Shuaibu's internal betrayals.
If Akpata plays his cards well, he stands a chance of winning the election, especially as Wike would want to remain the emperor of South south politics and would do everything possible to see that Oshiomhole is painted in bad light, plus he already has a strained relationship with Obaseki. We all know that Wike has gone beyond playing ordinary party politics. He already has a say in the PDP and the APC (the first politician in Nigeria, if not in Africa or even the world, to achieve something like that). I see him attempting to add the LP to his file, starting with Edo state.
I forsee that the outcome of the governorship election will reflect far more than the strengths or resources of political parties. A lot of personal interests will come to play.
#This is my opinion.
Dude, go and be analysing for Channels abi Arise. You nailed it on its head. I was discussing something very similar yesterday with a friend.

How easily voting blocks could be split right down the middle due to grudges, acrimony, internal rancour, outside forces and permutations to be politically relevant and gain control.

Congrats!

Whether your wife born in the moon, Japan or Okokomaiko, jejely do paternity test on your baby early. NO exception.

So you don't raise another man's child. Especially men that travel a lot or women who themselves travel a lot. Trust nobody. Even your best friend, brother, in-law, neighbour and those people that you normally should trust may be helping you oil her in your absence. Even if the woman appears to be perfect in every area as a wife or girlfriend. Konji and money are the most dangerous areas of human weakness. No sentiments.

You will be shocked.

Ignore this warning at your own peril.

OVIHINNO:

Big fat lie. Obaseki played all His cards to ensure everyone else emerges except Akpata

Lol. They have no idea. Choosing Olumide is very strategic. Olumide will just divide the vital Edo South vote and draw young voters. Especially if Obi takes his time to campaign vigorously in Edo. LP will pick a deputy from Edo North to divide APC stronghold.

Anybody can win this election now. The margin will be narrow.

I believe however, that it's the turn of Edo Central, to be fair.

The impulsive tendency by the so called builder of Lagos debt-burden economy in succumbing to the neck constricting IMF plan of floating the naira just nailed his cluelessness and incompetency. Being itchy and shaky from sniffing white powder is not political sagacity.

That Buhari can even do better in terms of understanding IMF's anti-Developing Countries policies, and refuse to implement them is baffling.

Right now, Buhari looks like an economic genius.

Men should heed this warning for their own good.

Yes, it's generalisation because only about 5 to 10% will be different and that's a fail mark by any standard.

In London back in 2022, Baba said in private to that Hausa lady that he has no plans. I knew that was the truth.

In all honesty, Bubu that Tinubu helped to foist on us damaged 9ja so much that he is now hamstrung.

There is a certain arrogance among our people in SW that they know everything better.

Instead of Tinubu considering better qualified/experienced professionals irrespective of tribe, he hired two local sycophants to handle such vital positions.

It's obvious none of them has anything close to NOI, Sanusi Lamido or Soludo. Even Emefiele until he turned political with Bubu's handlers/cabals.

The talk does not even sound Igbo. When did you guys begin yahoo yahoo? Abeg send me your aza. Does that sentence sound like what an igbo boy would say or a benin boy?
Aza is an ancient Edo word for reserve/store/safe. I heard it from my nan decades ago.

To "gbe aza (break the safe/store/reserve)" is to break the account at the end of the year when progressive unions and Osusu groups gather money and share.

It has been used in Edo since at least the time of Ogiso Obioye. More than over a thousand years.

Don't let modern ethno-centrism and population politics deceive you.

People can use a word from anywhere when it becomes popular. Remember Davido's mother came from Edo.

Olaza is even a common name for treasurer.

Ah, this is too deep for an average dudu person these days.

They prefer to seek miracle and be spoon-fed.

If not to acquire certificates, they won't be interested.

How disappointed our ancestors must feel to see us trade their superior wisdom for foreign ones.

Ifa wisdom that keeps growing and growing has no equal on earth.

They had to demonise Ifa and Esu as juju and satan to easily convince dudu man. When in fact Ifa is the purveyor of wisdom and esu is a very intelligent saint who mastered the art of trickery and understands how dark forces of evil, deceit and treachery work.

No evidence in our history that esu was ever cast out of heaven by Eledumare for being disobedient or evil. How did it come to be equated with the Western/Middle Eastern idea of the devil? shocked shocked

Asians value their tradition and religion and the whole world respect them now.

Very stupid man, I watched the video and I'm like is she under any obligation to marry him or was there any written agreement that was signed?

Men like this do not take care of their parents but will be out there doing stupid things, I don't pity such kind of men.

Instead of him to chop his breakfast peacefully and quietly he's making a scene out of it
Yes, the guy was silly to have trained her but a large number of ladies would be without education today if not for "simps" who trained them.
I know many married women who still left their husbands after being trained in marriage.

To totally blame the man and not the woman simply reflects the mercilessness and brutality of women.

I guess chopping the breakfast so loudly and openly is good: to sound a warning to guys out there.
