Politics / Re: United States Confirms Sale Of 12 Attack Helicopters, Others To Nigeria For $1bn by Dancebreaker: 3:42am On Feb 05 |
DMerciful: And Nigerian national budget for 2024 expenditure is 27.5 trillion Naira. Even though they will use padding/appropriation to add more later, it's a paltry sum. This should be the budget of Bayelsa or Ekiti Sate. For decent quality education, healthcare, welfare system and local amenities that are well funded. Considering where we were in 1960 compared to Australia, Singapore, NZ, etc. https://www.pwc.com/ng/en/assets/pdf/nigeria-budget-highlight-2023.pdf This budget was prepared with forex of $1 = 750 Naira. We never ready o. |

Family / Re: How Do We Avoid Future Chaos In The Family by Dancebreaker: 7:33pm On Jan 28 |
Scholace, This is old post I know. Please sell the village house or the problem could last for generations. At worst, find a plot at Ikorodu and build there. As a rule of thumb, anything you do for your siblings, expect nothing. Give them all your salary every month, none will say you did anything for them. They feel entitled. No exception. Give 10% as charity and outsiders will value it. Your dad did well to support his siblings but does not mean his siblings will be good to him or his children. Learn your own lesson from your dad's experience. |

They should even recall all the senators. They have no use aside raising their emoluments and constituency allowances. We can't even afford a bi-cameral parliament when every citizen aside the looters is crying ebi'n pa mi o. 1 Like |
Foreign Affairs / Re: Niger, Mali And Burkina Faso Withdraw From ECOWAS by Dancebreaker: 7:01pm On Jan 28 |
Bad news for 9ja and West Africa. We need their cooperation to fight terrorists. Any junta that succeeds in its coup in the region will have 3 countries ready to welcome them. Failed elected and election rigging leaders put Africa at risk. Coups will happen when there is grinding poverty, insecurity, impunity and looting. See the result now. The only panacea is good governance, rule of law, transparency and tangible economic growth that creates jobs for the masses. The more pariah states we allow to emerge the more the dens of terrorists in the region. 4 Likes 2 Shares |

Kobojunkie:Well, go and rant at those who take women seriously. I expect absolutely nothing from women and never did. I learnt that before I was even 10 years old. The hubby must have been a fool to have trusted the wife in the first place and a bigger fool if he hadn't done paternity test on those 4 kids before now. We agree on one thing though. Left to me, there should be no marriage. I pay for a service only. Anything a women can offer has a price. And there is abundance of willing women to provide the service. Childbearing and everything else can be paid for. No dulling. Just business. |

Kobojunkie:I hope when the worst happens, which men from that axis have been often reported to do, I hope people like you will still be smug about infidelity. Any man that has not done paternity test on his kids in 2024, is either a fool or too poor to do so. As for divorce, divorcing an olosho with 4 kids can only be a blessing. Let her collect the house and see how she will live in it. This is 2024. Nor gree for any harlot. 1 Like |

immortalcrown: If you look well, the man would have done everything for this lady. Probably brought her from 9ja. She now has her documents complete and has a job. The kids may all be over 8 years already, fairly independent. She feels divorce won't affect her much. She even stands to gain. Her confidence shows she's a veteran olosho. But the hubby can use other ways to bleep her up. The man should do DNA test on the kids, codedly if possible, as most oyinbo countries will require wife's consent. If kids are his, leave matter and just move on. The man should stop eating her food. She might poison her. 2 Likes |

maasoap:This is not entirely true. Some have degrees, including UK health and social care degrees. Some like the flexibility that some other 9-5 jobs may not give them, others may be postgrad students doing it. Even UK citizens born and bred who were nurses, civil servants and others come into the sector later for various reasons. I do not envy those supporting dementia patients in whatever setting. It's a very challenging geriatric condition as it progresses. Even those otherwise happy doing the job can lose it at times BUT no excuse for their action. |

honour7:Before you jump to comment, see how a discussion started and what was already said. If there is no convention, why did DFB, FFF or English FA not just call it Euro 2021on their own since final was even played at Wembley? My friend, the original year to host, Euro 2020 or whatever remains even if postponed. Unless the postponement or bringing forward was already known before the Award/fixing of tourney date was done. Such as Afcon 2013 (bringing forward from 2014 to 2013) was already agreed before it was awarded. To avoid Afcon clashing with 2014 World cup year. |
Sports / Re: AFCON 2023: Ivory Coast Vs Nigeria. Patriotism Vs Reality(opinion) by Dancebreaker: 2:24pm On Jan 18 |
Kukutente23:It must have been awarded with the title Afcon 2024. The same way Euro 2020 was awarded as such and still called Euro 2020 even though it was played in 2021. These are conventions involving many nations and FAs. Fact is various reasons can cause postponement and rescheduling. |

Kukutente23: Dude, Covid-19 Pandemic disrupted many things leading to tournament postponements. The 2020 UEFA European Football Championship was played in summer of 2021. The one Italy won against England. That's why the next one is summer this year in Germany. Every 4 years. Remember when Zambia won Afcon in 2012, they only held it for 1 year as 9ja won it in 2013. 2014 Afcon was brought forward to 2013 to avoid clashing with 2014 World Cup in Brazil that Germany won. Even though exactly that hosting year clash happened in Afcon 1994 that 9ja won. It was acceptable back then. These scheduling abnormalities happen for various reasons. 1 Like 1 Share |

After all said and done, OP might not even be the biological father. In case you are, explore your legal rights as a biological dad, The child has a right to her dad, the mistakes and bitterness of adults does not change that. 7 years is better than never or 28 years later. People will behave badly but we must not allow our reaction to make us even worse than them. My uncle's daughter got regnant like 26 years ago. Her Bf's dad insisted on aborting it but my uncle and aunt refused. The child was born and raised by uncle's family for at least first 21 years of life. Although the bf was later coming and bringing the girl presents. He never married my cousin and both parted ways. The guy died when the girl was about 12. If the girl had been aborted as his father insisted he would have had no kid. A few years ago, the girl was getting married, it was the granddad (the boy's father) who collected the bride price in his house. My uncle did not even attend. My uncle took the position that he did his best for the child's survival and happiness and avoided rancour. It happened to my female cousin and life went on. @ Bongadu, learn from your mistake. |
