Excellent93:Na lie o. 99 times more to come. No less. That DNA test sha, no man should miss it, |
nobaga:OK in your view, the Boers who made SA their permanent home have the right to do so. But Nigerians have no right to go abroad and do things. Kemi Badenoch will become PM (even if she self-loathes) and many other people of 9ja descent will thrive and prosper wherever they find themselves. Nothing xenophobes and self-haters can do about it. They can only bleat. True. She might be another self-hating Nigerian. Their self-worth is so diminished that they love to be hated by others. ![]() |
TempleHouse:You mean impurities dey the whiskey? Maybe na pesticide enter from the wooden cask. ![]() |
nairalandankrah:Dem nor born dem. Can they refuse Wike's brown envelops? He will call Seun to say "Seun my friend, na joke I dey. Your late uncle in Kwara was my good friend/lecturer, etc. We are like family." |
sukkot:Wait o, why are there so much orisirisi things happening at Ikotun? Their local law court don suffer. court. Too many cases of "married woman died during marathon sex with local married businessman", an Ikotun hotel owner died on top of married employee's wife", court approves man's petition for divorce from his wife after she was caught in bed with family mechanic, etc. ![]() Always very salacious and colourful headlines emanate from the area. |
Vixlot:Werey. ![]() Homicide is a capital offence wherever it happens. Even if it ends up being manslaughter, it's still no party matter, it's a criminal act. |
Lol. As long as he retains the gravel and granite, no problem. ![]() |
nobaga:Rubbish. Even the Boers who claim SA today left the Netherlands and with other Europeans annexed SA land. Europeans did same in the Americas. People have always moved and will always do. The same SA has Nigerian scholars and professionals paying taxes. My course mates in Europe were Asians, Americans and from all the continents. By nature of the course, all stayed for at least a few years for post-grad professional training. Majority still work here today. Many of them came from elite families in USA, Asia and elsewhere and were able to easily pay for the most expensive course. Others were on National Govt scholarships, especially the Asians. Going abroad is not all about poverty or seeking greener Pasteur. When Columbus left Europe to "discover" America, Venice, Florence, Rome, Paris, London, Lisbon, Madrid and others were thriving. He could have lived in any of them comfortably. If Nigeria were like Singapore today, Nigerians would still travel. Do not let self-loathing drive you to support someone who promotes xenophobia against other Africans. It's a very poor form of wokism. |
Tell me another story. Tell me one "GENUINE" sign that a lady loves a man. Hardly any. But there are many "symptoms" a woman will show to secure the bag if she feels you are a catch. Meanwhile, a guy can be totally fake, but if she believes you are the real deal, she will display all the "symptoms" that will make you believe she is God-sent. All na format. That gender are good actors. |
Lioness5280:Lol. No contradiction whatsoever. All I see in your write-up is a person piggy-backing on Boer development and using it to taunt other Africans. I remember what some Boers I worked with in diaspora about 20 years ago said. They said they left SA as the country was going to the dogs due to affirmative action. That SA will become just another corrupt African country under black rule. Back then, I used to argue with them that their Apartheid policies denied blacks the opportunity to be educated and gain competencies. That it was Boers' fault. You should know that many Nigerians out there are far better exposed and have mingled with all sorts of people than your lots and dudula goons. If the matter does not involve maltreatment of other Africans, I am not interested. I know stories have no meaning to those who have no meaningful stories of their own to tell. My lack of interest does not mean I should look away when SA people indulge in xenophobia. Your "whataboutism" won't cut it. Lobby SA government to block other Africans from coming to SA. Not to say SA is open for business, and then expose them to xenphobia. |
Lioness5280:Well, you feel older folks should not be current. Very weird and biased. Or tolerate xenophia. Lol. Focus on the matter at hand. I have no feelings towards SA whatsoever. The same I have none towards Iran, Papua New Guinea or Afghanistan. But open hatred towards other Africans is condemnable. My link with SA died with a great South African who died a few years back. He openly admitted in a private discussion his disappointment with South African's feeling towards other Africans. Yes, he expressed his disappointment with Nigeria too, considering how Nigeria inspired him back in 1960s each time he was in Nigeria, as Mandela was facing treason charges in SA. For confidentiality sake, I won't mention his name. He was a thoroughly decent man and merited all the global awards he got. Nothing like the uncouth dudula goons or whatever they call them. No doubt, he would be turning in his grave. Pity that each country always has riff-raffs, |
Mercury12:I wonder o. I travel to places like North Africa, various parts of Europe and beyond. In my school days, while donating lunch money to ANC and seeing South African students on Nigerian scholarship at our local University, I yearned to visit SA one day when they become free of Apartheid. Now, I won't go if given a private jet. I wish them good luck. Nigeria should issue regular travel warnings on South Africa. If it's not burning down shops of other Africans, killing Lucky Dube believing he was Nigerian, stopping people from accessing hospitals and vital services, wanton killings, it's scapegoating other Africans. They learned hate, Apartheid tactics and xenophobia from their Boer masters very well. |
oglalasioux:Wrong. Our black ancestors built civilisations using resources available. And early Europeans who came were incredulous. Africans are now conquered people. They want to enjoy, believe having money is everything and no need to build for the future. Also, African Kingdoms were true nations of same people, and the empires among them respected local cultures of those under their imperial umbrella. Now we have people lumped together who don't belong. Let's be honest, what do Igbos and Hausas have in common? What do Igbos truly have in common with the Yorubas? Or the Edos with the Kanuri people? Nothing aside all being human beings. Yet, all these ethnicities once built great kingdoms as more homogeneous peoples. Today, what is an average Nigerian's (if such exists) national identity that connects him with his past, present, future, ethnicity and the Nigerian vision? None! How can you be loyal to something that does not inherently speak to your identity, aspirations, sense of belonging and security? It can still work. But there must be reforms to allow people grow at their own pace. It should not be a taboo to imagine that Nigeria may not be able to continue as one. At least not a forced unity. At the rate of current banditry and herdsmen killings, in 15 years, Nigeria may become a failed state. A peaceful reform and devolution is far better than a disorderly schism and balkanisation. |
Ok. Maybe $300m to rescue a pilot shot down by Iran. What Iran wants is for the war to be as costly to USA/Israel as possible. The war was unnecessary in the first place. |
No dignity in life and none in death. And they call it the giant of Africa. Nobody should insult Africa. |
We4all:Fact is finding a wife who has not cheated one way or another is very rare. No matter how nice, caring and "dedicated" she appears. They can hide it very well. The next wife may be far worse and the man knows it. Just do DNA test on your kids. Unless you want to open an orphanage in your household. |
Sell the land and leave. Otherwise, you will also pay before fencing, sinking borehole, etc. |
Gotocourt:Ned wants to be Governor by force. ![]() Soon, every household should be a state at this rate. |
amaridigital:Before nko? Everyone's in it for their own benefit. Not to benefit me or you. |
reddingtonblack:But that is the ping-pong I am talking about. If they have time to re-organise themselves, then they are not played. ADC is becoming too overcrowded by those who want to stand for presidency. Too many captains. |
U can't just understand this country...... Sad. |
AllBlack:Ol' boy, the world does not run on intelligence or ability. It runs on sycophancy. That is why high positions are full of sycophants and much of the world, especially the African one is so messed up. Those tank cover holding officers will be promoted/recomended for one far more frequently than better educated/trained officers making their service tick. In one of the "saner climes" see one old youngie Baba surrounded by sycophants who hailed him to go to war unprepared and he sacks seasoned generals who dare to give him professional/impartial advice. ![]() |
reddingtonblack:Sadly, 9ja does not work on logic. Not in a country where judges are openly given SUVs and mansions as ruling party largesse, instead of being a constitutional package linked to their role and managed independently. ADC must have got rumours that the court judgement will be rigged. But sure, legal matters should not run on rumours or sentiments in an ideal world. But 9ja is not ideal. ADC might just have been played like amateurs. ![]() All these decamping here and there means you can have a powerful "mole" in your ranks. No matter which party you support, poor or dead opposition is not healthy for any democracy. |
brain54:And they will never criticise Saudi Arabia for chopping off heads for less. Hypocrites. |
Well, a God-fearing woman deserves a God-fearing man. Otherwise, it's like setting a rat trap hoping to catch a tiger with it. |
Oga missionary, truth is not welcome in these parts o. We prefer to lie to ourselves. We pretend to be asleep so that we cannot be roused. They will say you are a sponsored foreign agent. |
Hungrychicken:Lol. My brother, build and rent it out for N500 per year. ![]() Any investment that cannot let you recoup initial investment (adjusted for inflation) in about 15 years is not worth it. And 9ja has some of the very worst tenants. Some run away with their debts. Some wait for eviction and make it a legal case. A certain group of people is well known for making their rental debt a legal case. Better to invest your money in commodities than rental building that some yeye tenants will use to cause you problems. Let everybody build their own house. QED. |
amaridigital:Actually, in many countries, non-medics hardly use Dr title, even if they have an academic PhD/doctorate. American lawyers since some decades now have JD in Law to practice. But they are simply called Attorney. On the other hand, Arnold Schwarzenegger was awarded an honorary PhD this week by Ulster University in Belfast UK. The university wrote on a poster at the award venue: "He's back as Dr Arnold Schwarzenegger." In 9ja we focus too much on trivialities. |
davidotokiblog1:One main issue is that the cost of budding a house is almost similar in Ikorodu and Ojo. Costs in GRA Benin and Oluku near Benin are virtually same. The cost of land is what may differ quite a lot. If you built a standard 2 x 3-bed flats for 70million and rent both out, how long will it take you to recoup investment? Very long. And you need ongoing maintenance. Not to mention high inflation that necessitates rent increases that tenants find annoying. Rental agents have to eat too. |
iwaeda:At least whenever Italy qualify, they actually play to try to win. Even if with dirty tricks like injuring Amunike and Amokachi out of the pitch in the knock out stage in 1994. Or the grandpa defender nearly "nakeding" Bukayo Saka in England v Italy Euro final some years back. Funny enough, it's the SE players who benefit most from qualifying for the WC and reaching the later stages of it. Yet, most play like it's a walk in the park. |
EniHolar:In 2014, Ghana nearly knocked Germany out of Brazil World Cup. In the last group game, few minutes to end the game, Jordan Ayew had a ball to beat the keeper or square it to Gyan to score. He chose to shoot and couldn't score. Gyan was on fire that year. The game ended 2:2 and Germany went through to knock out rounds. A loss would have sent Germany back home and Ghana through. And Germany went on to beat Argentina to win the FIFA World Cup 2024. So, for Ghana, they don't have that complex of celebrating losing games to European sides. Senegal beat England 3:1 a while ago. |
