A woman had an incredibly lucky escape when she survived this horrific crash. Her VW Golf was squeezed under a lorry in front when she was shunted by a skip lorry behind her. Witnesses to the collision in Colchester, Essex, said that the car was so crushed that they didn’t even realise a car had been involved. The 27-year-old woman was taken to Royal London Hospital to be treated for her injuries that are not thought to be life- threatening. Sergeant Damon Bainbridge said: ‘It is extremely unlikely to get a survivor in a crash like this. If they did survive, we would expect them to have life threatening or life changing injuries. ‘It goes to show what a difference the quality of vehicle construction can make and what else can I call it except luck.’ The car can just be seen under the De Rijke lorry (Picture: Cascade) Stuart Hunt, who was first on the scene, said: ‘We called the police but we did not know there was a car in the middle until we went and had a look. The car was destroyed – I thought the driver was a gonner.’ A 51-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving, causing a serious injury collision and on suspicion of being under the influence of drink and drugs.

Cristiano Ronaldo has thanked his Real Madrid team-mates for being amazing by handing them a £6,500 watch each. The World Player of the Year, who has had a successful 2014, scoring 61 goals in 58 games for club and country, gave his team-mates an early Christmas present before their win against Almeria on Friday night – a result that took their winning streak to an incredible 20 games. The Bulgari watches were inscribed with each of the player’s names as well as ‘CR7′ and the words ‘La Decima’ – commemorating Real’s 10th European Cup win this summer. First to proudly show off his new pressie was Alvaro Arbeloa who posted a pic of the watch and a pic of a smiling Ronny on Instagram. Now, all they have to do is pay him back by helping him win La Liga and Champions League again.

10. “Alingo”- P-Square It’s fair to say that after more than a decade of making music, pioneering R&B/pop duo P-Square is a staple on the playlist of any Nigerian party (wedding, christening, wake… you name it, they’re probably being played). “Alingo” is the latest single to be released off the brothers’ ‘Greatest Hits’ album. 9. “Yes/No”- Banky W Hopefully, by the time this song comes on you and your significant other have already said ‘I do.’ Banky W’s “Yes/No” isn’t much of a dance hit, but it’s a cute tune for a sing-a-long during your wedding program’s more low-key moments. 8. “You Go Kill Me Remix” – Sarkodie featuring EL, Ice Prince, Navio and Wizkid Because there has to be at least one azonto dance competition at your wedding. It’s almost as essential as kola nut…almost. Here’s the remix to the Sarkodie song that, arguably, set-off Ghana‘s azonto dance craze. 7. “Ife Wa Gbona”- Tiwa Savage featuring Leo Wonder It’s another really cute song for the bride and groom. Tiwa and Leo detail a passionate love and the joy of getting married. Cue the ‘awwww’. 6. “Today Today”- Eldee For the newly wed couple looking to make an upbeat entrance into their wedding, veteran rapper Eldee gives you the perfect song. “All the bridesmaids on the left, and all the groomsmen on the left. Are you ready? Let’s go!” 5. ”Somebody”- Iyanya featuring Tiwa Savage It’s Iyanya!–the only artist who can make a song about spending money ‘romantic.’ With some vocals from Tiwa Savage and a nice beat, this song a definitely a dance tune. 4. “Bum Bum” – Timaya It’s honestly about the bass. 2013 was a big year for Timaya. The Bayelsa-born artist took a break from telling us the “True Story” of being a “Plantain boy” with videos shot in the streets of his hometown in Nigeria. This year, Timaya cut his hair, and it seemed he was focused on the dance floor, churning out hits like “Sexy Lady” and “Malo Nogede” featuring Terry G. 3. “Fine Fine Love”- J-Martins Released in 2012, “Fine Fine Love” is another great song for a first dance between newly weds. Leave it to J-Martins to give Nigerian couples an upbeat love song. Note: We don’t advise using J-Martin’s dance moves at any wedding. 2. “Limpopo”- Kcee According to singer Kcee, “Limpopo” means ‘let’s have fun.’ Need I say more? 1. “Ada Ada” -Flavor N’abania Listen. If you take nothing else away from this piece, hold tight to this song. It is, without a doubt, the Nigerian wedding song of the year.

The deportees consisting of men, women and children were sent home from Finland, Sweden and Norway for immigration related offences. One of the deportees, who declined to give his name, alleged that Nigerian Embassy officials in Sweden connived with Norwegian authorities to facilitate their deportation. Another deportee, who also declined to give her name, said despite her being pregnant, the authorities maltreated her in Finland. She said she moved over to Finland to seek asylum from Greece, where she had spent over eight years. Another male deportee said he spent 14 years in Finland with valid documents and yet, he was sent home. He said he was forced to abandon his family, adding that his deportation could have adverse effects. A man, his wife and two teenage children born in Greece, who sought asylum in Finland, were also deported. The deportees said the authorities in the Scandinavian countries were hostile towards Nigerians, as nationals of other African countries were granted asylum.
