PoliticsRe: What Is "Dariqa Muslims": Political Understanding Of Muslim Divisions/groups by DanGombe1: 1:32pm On Dec 07, 2016
Oh please.

You keep on making the reference of facing the Holy Ka'abah when making As-Salat and the praise singing and worship that occurs when you make "visits" to the supposed grave sites of Saints. Those are two completely different things. It's like comparing Apples and Oranges. Facing the Holy Ka'abah when making As-Salat has been instructed in both the Holy Qura'an and Hadith. Nowhere is there any instruction that one should visit the graves of saints and martyrs ( particularly in countries like Iraq and Iran) and seek their intervention in their own worldly affairs. In fact, the noble prophet specifically banned women from going to the cemetery because of the commotion and emotions that they display there. Is there any holier grave on this earth to visit than the noble prophets (S.A.W) in Medinah ? Yet, you will praise, cut and flog yourselves bloodily on the way to Karbala. Yet you venerate his grandson more than you do the noble prophet (S.A.W). May A.l.l.a.h guide us all.

PoliticsRe: Mohammed Ibraheem Zakzaky's Letter To Nigerians by DanGombe1: 10:56pm On Jul 23, 2016
And the Shiites have come again.

Sighs**

While I condemn the loss of any human life, it's sad that Islamic fundamentalists and zealots have been giving free reign to commit acts of impunity in the North and the Zaria Massacre was a sad culmination.

When you put your hands into the mouth of a rabid dog, you have no right to complain when it bites you. Nigeria and Nigerians know that our Army and Policemen are nothing but killers in uniform. Everyday we wake up to read and hear about innocent victims that where killed over meager excuses like N20 at a checkpoint, etc Therefore, when the Shiites decided to block a federal road for which they had no permit to do so and refused to respect the authority and office of the chief of army staff, we all knew the outcome. Zaki Biam, Odi, and other massacres are still fresh in our memories. Did the Shiites think they where anything special ?! Yes, these terrible acts are crimes against humanity but that is the reality that we live in.

In the last 3 months, we have had over a 1000 people killed in the South by Islamic Fulani herdsmen. Have the Shiites or indeed any Islamic organization come out and match actions with their words against these atrocities. From the beating of an Ibo Man for eating during Ramadan in Kaduna to the killings of a lady in Kano by muslim youths etc These and so many other atrocities committed by Muslim youths against Christians in the North is never reported nor do you see massive protests by our people because we want peace to reign.

So Zakzaky and his followers should not expect any sympathy from fellow Nigerians. Fact is, a typical Shiite pledges more loyalty to Iran than their own country. An organization that doesnt recognize Nigerian as an entity and it's laws cannot expect an exception for them when they break those laws.
PoliticsRe: 10 Fantastically Corrupt Lies On The Zaria Massacre by DanGombe1: 1:04am On May 24, 2016
And finally the mask comes off.

The name calling and religious zealouness starts to come out.

Let me be clear here. Nobody cares about your sunni or shites religious sects. As far as most of Nairaland is concerned and you can check the threads posted on this forum, Islamic fanatics have caused far more religious riots and crisis in Nigeria than others. Nobody gives a shiit whether it's sunni or shia. That crisis as far as we are concerned is like when two rabid dogs are fighting to the death.

Secondly, we have said it time and time again, did you expect anything less from the Nigerian Army. You must be an slowpoke of the highest order if you expected the NA who you have had a running battle against to just let you get away with provoking then like that. You dare no try this in any country with law and order. Where was your permit for blocking the road?!! Who gave you the permission to block a federal highway from the use of the COAS?!

Nobody is condoning what the Nigerian Army did but you will not get an iota of sympathy from Nigerians who saw am predicted the outcome of your foolish actions. Next time, block the road again from the Commissioner of Police or any convoy belonging to the Nigerian Armed Forces and see the consequences. Bunch of nincompoops.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: What Has Become Of The NNPC Recruitment? by DanGombe1: 7:32am On May 23, 2016
Well, I have some bad news for you all.

I can tell you with a 100% guarantee that those positions have been filled up. I have 2 friends, one amongst who works in Human Resources at NNPC Towers that got their employment letters based on that recruitment exam. If you have not heard anything concerning the recruitment then sadly your leg is not long enough to get the job. It's a very sad fact but true. Recruitment into these organisations is done largely based on connections and the few candidates they take on merit is merely a smokescreen to hide the monumental fraud that goes on there.

My advice is for you to move on with your life and look for other opportunities. Still waiting and hoping for 2012 recruitment in 2016 is a long shot my brother. I know other candidates that have gotten their slot and have resumed at various NNPC divisions. Take heart and life continues.
PoliticsRe: 10 Fantastically Corrupt Lies On The Zaria Massacre by DanGombe1: 11:14am On May 22, 2016
And this is why you will get no sympathy from the ordinary Nigerian on the street. We can clearly see where your loyalties lie with. The Shiites have never been anything but peaceful. You guys have harassed and intimidated the people of Zaria for years and the police have been helpless to act because of being afraid to start a religious crisis. You conveniently refused to answer my observation about challenging the Army and the COAS on the passage of that road. Let's get this fact straight, even Christians that block roads during their crusades or Shiloh will open the road and give way when they see men of the Nigerian Army and see who is in the convoy. I dare you and ask to be challenged that have you ever seen Christian Youths blocking a federal Road and highway and saying that no Nigerian military or paramilitary personnel can pass till they call Pastor Adeboye or Pastor Kumuyi before he gives them permission to pass?!!!! That's what the Shiites where doing. And you expected any response less. I repeat it again, you won't get any sympathy from Nigerians here. Most Nigerians have already tagged Islam as a violent religion, whether Shia or sunni nobody gives a shit. Na you know that distinction.

Wow.

I can now really believe that some people are born stupid. If not there's no way, you can justify holding a machete and wielding sticks to Nigerian Army and expect any reaction less than what you expected from those Animals. What did you expect?! This is the same set of people that committed the Zaki Biam and Odi Massacre and you expected them to remember human rights and democracy. Wow. Would you carry your hand and put it in the mouth of a rabid dog?! Of course it will bite you. I am not condoning the actions of the Nigerian Army. But you guys got what you deserved when you decided to stand up toe to toe with them. Imagine someone saying they have to call their Sayyid before allowing the CHIEF OF ARMY STAFF to pass a Nigerian Federal Road. Your Father!!! Do you guys even respect or recognise Nigerian laws?! I stayed in Gyallesu for 6 yrs in Zaria. You are here on Nairaland trying to garner sympathy from Nigerians. We hear your Shitte sermons every Friday condemning Nigeria and her laws. Now, you want quote those same laws to us when it suits you. Get a life.

PoliticsRe: Senate Terminates REMITA Contract And Orders Prosecution Of Culprits by DanGombe1: 1:13pm On Feb 24, 2016
The Senate has no powers to terminate anything as they didn't have the power to award it in the first place. This is a clear case of legislative rascality. They should make their recommendations to the executive and not make it seem as if they have power to do so. This is how some useless senators will be forming robocop and fighting with their governors.

PoliticsRe: Protest Over Vcs Sack: Police Tear Gas NANS by DanGombe1: 8:03pm On Feb 18, 2016
The students spoilt their protest (which I knew they would) when they engaged in violence and broke the screen of a government vehicle. Most NANS people are gbemites and academically challenged students who can't articulate and channel their grievances peacefully without resorting to violence. Secondly, if the Students and ASUU insist on their independence and tenure of their VC, then the Fed Govt should stop any intervention or give funding to the universities. Let them go and look for money to pay salaries and build hostels. Let us see if they are willing to eat the independence. But as long as the Federal Govt is paying the lecturers salaries, building lecture theaters and paying the expenses of the school, it will continue to call the shots on who it deems fit to run its universities.

Mcbussy:
I am not disputing ur claims, but please as "the wise and smart one" give us few examples of how a handful of soldiers would have cleared a path blocked by up to a thousand Islamic mob chanting and yelling "alahu ahkbar"

Many of us just come here to say rubbish with the intent of pushing blame on a specific government we despise. That is the real problem of Nigerians. Only few of us are transparent and unbiased in our reasoning.

When they attached and killed some members if this same group about a year ago, I didn't feel it was just, but I felt the soldiers were pushed. I didn't blame the soldiers and neither did I blame GEJ for that incident. Why is it that all of a sudden, a similar and more antagonizing event occurs, and suddenly, some clowns come here to put d blame on the army and at dsame time gladly blame GMB?

If they had successfully mobbed and killed the COAS and his crew, these same goons would still come here and shout Buhari dis, Buhari that. Now the army were antagonized and they decided to fight the mob, these same group of e-goats are here talking.

Why must people carry weapons like machetes to confront d Army with all this happening in the nation??...if u think machetes are not weapons, go and read the history of atrocities it was used to carry out in Sierra Leone, Rwanda, etc. Just a few months ago, some rumors were circulating that hundreds of soldiers were killed in one single attack. If u have a family in the military or if u have lost some1 to this Islamic insurgency, I'm sure u wouldn't be saying this trash.

The rules of engagement ur talking about doesn't apply to only gun to gun situations. If u engage me with any weapon that can harm or kill me (machete, cutlass or molotov cocktail), I have a right to hit u with any weapon at my disposal (AK47, RPG grin) .... That is the rule of engagement.
On point. Right to the matter. Am a Muslim, born and bred in the North. And I make no excuses. Those shiites where asking for it. It's these same set of people (hausa illiterate youths brain washed by religious fanatics) that killed those corpers in Bauchi during the 2011 post election violence. Any right thinking human being that watched that video and understood hausa could see how these Generals where begging these people. Begging o !!! shocked yes, the response of the army was unfair. But in their stupid imagination what did they think will happen. Did you guys even see the small girls where black and kneeling in the streets shouting Allah Akbar ? These bunch of fanatics where beyond reasoning with. They got what they deserved. They no born you well to dey taunt army and escape without getting scorched. He who plays with fire gets burned
PoliticsRe: Video Of Nigerian Soldiers Begging Shiites To Clear The Road by DanGombe1: 1:10am On Dec 17, 2015
Let me give my own account of the events and my own take on what happened in Zaria. Coincidentally, I was in Zaria for two days and presently in Kaduna when all these events unfolded.

For those who don't know Zaria well. The Islamic Shiite sect a few years ago built a large center called Hussainiya adjacent the British American Tobacco Club on the field of the Zaria Golf/Polo Club. That centre faces a major federal road that leads travellers to Kano, Katsina and the rest of the North West. Therefore, that road faces major traffic by all Nigerians alike. Automatically, by building such a huge centre at such a strategic location, it was just a matter of time before the shiite got into trouble with the rest of normal society.

The Chief of Army staff Lt. General Yusuf Buratai in accompaniment with some top generals was in Zaria to attend the passing out parade of the fresh recruit of the Nigerian Army at the Depot. From there, he was scheduled to visit the Emir of Zaria to pay homage to the royal father. That was it. Very simple. No any ulterior motives as far as anyone can prove. The COAS closed the parade and proceeded in his convoy to the royal palace.

Now, the shiites having relocated from their former abodes and built a new centre right next to a federal road was a time bomb just waiting to happen. Why?! This is because (and widely documented) of their activities of blocking major roads and highways and refusing genuine Nigerians their right of free movement during their activities. They have blocked roads and refused several top govt officials rights to pass the road. This is because shiites believe that they are above the law. They are accountable only to their leader. Now, unforeseen to the convoy of the COAS, their route to the royal palace was blocked that day. Why?! The shiites where celebrating the new lunar month and therefore it was their God given right that no one should pass.

This was the first and major mistake the shiites made. Okay, let us take into context the bad history between the NA and the shiites. Does blocking the road and disrespecting the COAS make their case any good?!

Now, with all this going on, for those who watched the video. The COAS and about 2 Brig Generals that I could see where shown attempting to calm their men down and politely asking the shiites to allow them pass. But their response was, "only mallam (zakzaky) can allow anybody to pass". You could feel the heat and fanaticism coming off them. They where frothing at the mouth like rabid dogs. I only saw the children of the poor and illiterates there. Cannon fodder for most violent sects. These where armed with bows and arrows, cutlass, matchets, catapults etc. Plus, they where screaming their heads. They wanted to be matyrs.

Now back to the military. Our men handled themselves very, very well. However, you can only push a lion so far. The COAS is the number one officer in the army. His men will gladly die for him there. Secondly, any disrespect to his dignity and person will not be condoned. Finally, it will have been the height of dishonour and shame for the military to have been turned back by these people who have no respect for our laws and society. Therefore, they reacted how they knew best. Nobody's fault but the shiites. Of course during such an operation, you will round up all leaders and supporters to ascertain if this was a planned event. It has now moved into a tactical operation. The military engaged and demolished the center by the road. And promptly moved to their leaders house to arrest him. But yet again, the fanatics where there. Wallahi, our hausa people are just fucking idiots sometimes. Poverty and illiteracy is a curse. The hausa boys in gyallesu who enjoy his patronage where yet again up in arms. The military yet again responded. The thing to note is that, these people are not afraid of death. In fact, they welcome it. Because, in their misguided teachings spoon fed to them by their leaders. Anyone that dies in the way of Allah goes to Paradise. And so you see women and small girls dressed in black hijabs shouting "Allah Akbar" and throwing stones at soldiers. Wallahi, even me I will put a bullet in you. Am hausa and a Muslim but am pissed. How can you be this stupid?! You can't see a warri or Lagos boy being this dumb?

In conclusion (sorry for the long story), the shiites where just a time bomb waiting to happen. It's better we dealt with them now and get it over with. The level of illiteracy and poverty in the North is the reason why all these religious sects have a fertile ground for their unholy ideas to take root and have willing human servants that are willing to worship and die for them. Finally, any shiite that was killed protesting on that road did not die a matyr. It was suicide by army. And they have a case to answer before their Lord and maker.

PoliticsRe: I Deserve Ministerial Nomination, Says Lai Mohammed by DanGombe1: 11:48pm On Oct 10, 2015
Great arguments so far.

But as rightly said by Gbawe, Nigerian youths need to take their destiny into their own hands. Unless we are able to look beyond our differences and act selflessly for our country Nigeria, we would always be fractured and disunited and leadership of this country will continue to evade us.

A key pointer to this is volunteering. How many Nigerian youths including me actually volunteer our time, talent and efforts to a project that will help our community?! You always see youth in other countries volunteering to build homes, roads, teaching etc to the less privileged in their society. How many of us do this?!

You start small and dream big. Look at ordinary council ship elections in your ward. Am sure most of the time, your councillors are illiterate touts who are hoisted on you by the most popular political party of the time. How many educated youth have organised themselves and presented a credible candidate to the polls?! Ordinary NANS election or departmental elections conducted in our higher institutions are plagued by violence, ethnic and religious sentiments etc. And yet we expect to be handed the leadership of the country and rule.

The Youth of Nigeria need to wake up and take our destiny into our hands. It won't be handed to us easily. We must fight and earn it for ourselves.

BusinessRe: You’re Killing Local Manufacturers –MAN Alerts CBN by DanGombe1: 8:33pm On Oct 05, 2015
Nigerian's and their impatience. huh Smh !!!

Whether we care to admit it or not, the 2015 General elections took a huge economic toll on the health of the economy coupled with the global fall in oil prices. As a result, the new incoming government cannot adopt a quick fix solution to revive the economy as some fifth columnists will want since they are hoping that this government will fall. We all know that after stealing billions of naira and converting them to dollars in anticipation of Buhari winning and them running away with their loot (Masu gudu su gudu), they now saw that things where not as bad as they imagined. But they now have plenty dollars and they cannot eat it so they are looking for ways to launder it in the economy.

As an insider I can tell you that most of these manufacturer's crying foul and hue are mainly briefcase opportunists who are eager to make quick profit without giving a damn.

As for the processing of Form A & Form M, the Trade & Exchange Department of the CBN are working day and night to process these applications for manufacturers with genuine needs. The LCCI and MAN members that are shouting like rabid dogs are those whose applications have been turned down for frivolous and outrageous demands for FOREX on items that with little effort can be procured here. They know themselves. How can you claim to be an indigenous producer and yet source 90% of your raw materials abroad e.g tomato paste. Don't we have tomatoes in Nigeria?! Why not invest in the value chain here and save us the little forex we have?! Instead you see in the newspapers shouting up and down that their business is dying. It's all propaganda.

The CBN as a defender of the economy will stand up against these vested interests and do the needful in protecting our economy and at the same time promoting our indigenous producers who genuinely wish to move the county forward.
