I prefer Bruno to Zaidu. Im not sure about his current form. And I hope Stanley makes first choice cause, he's currently doing better than the others.

Bruno hasn't totally been convincing in the role sha.

It seems like Iheanacho will join the team in Lagos. Might get restricted minutes at the AFCON..

Meanwhile, Owngoal are reporting that Peseiro is trying out Omeruo and Bassey partnership.

So here is the line up of the team that won the practice match in camp
It was a 4-3-3 Formation

Ojo

Aina
Ajayi
Bassey
Sanusi

Onyeka
Aribo
Iwobi

Lookman
Osimhen
Simon

Nwabili or Uzoho for Ojo, Osayi-Samuel for Aina might be the only alteration to the final lineup..

Even possibly, Bruno for Zaidu

There are more to it, including Agent, Pinnick was trying to stop it from the U17, I don't know how far, before he left

Pinnick wasn't trying to stop shite.. he indulged in it when he was Warri Wolves chairman, shortly before he became NFF president...
If you think Pinnick did anything notable to try and improve our league, youre mistaken... The league currently looks better than it was when he was in charge... The LMC he created has since been disbanded

We are talking strength now. Manchester United are also not champions of anything last season. So how do you compare them? Form.

And yet, Man Utd beat Aston Villa not too long ago..

Let us be logical about it.

Manchester City is the current EPL, FA Cup, Champions League, and World Club Cup champions. We sit 3rd on the table with a game in hand. That means we are in good form.

Aston Villa can't be rated a better team because currently, Manchester City have an edge over them.

However, I will rate Aston Villa as a better team than the current Manchester United due to their form.

Keep in mind, Aston Villa dominated us in our last meeting. That shows their strength.
But Aston Villa are the current champion of nothing.. they are just in good form.
There's still every possibility that they may not finish in the top 4 this season despite their form..
They are still a mid table team, whichever way you put it.

I don't think we should class teams based on history but current form. Current form has bigger impact in the next results than history.

So, based on this, do we say that Aston Villa are a better team than Man City?

You have evaded the subject with erratic noise making.

Which is how good a prospect for the SE.

Brazilian international Douglas Luiz is the quintessential top level DM , Ndidi will not get into the Aston villa team as it stands ( he would be surplus to requirements) . Neither will Aribo and or Onyeka,

Iwobi will compete with Ramsey, Diaby and McGinn and will definitely be in the team.l IMO.

Stop capping..
Douglas Luiz isnt a defensive midfielder.. Kamara and Dendonckor are Aston Villa defensive midfielders, neither of whom are better than Ndidi..

I dont know where you get the confidence to elevate mid table teams to the level where you conclude that certain players won't get into their team...

If Peseiro insists on using 4-4-2, maybe he sbould consider playing Iwobi on the flanks, with Any two of Onyeka, Onyedika and Aribo in midfield. Iwobi likes to drop into the midfield even when he is played on the flanks.... Whenever partners Osimhen in attack can then slot in to the flank to make it 4-3-3 ..
Basically, we will be using 4-4-2 and 4-3-3 at once..

It’s not their fault African football doesn’t generate much traffic and much revenue

People sub to super sport to watch epl and championships league

Oga, this is a very big lie.. There are many people in Africa that care more about watching their national team games than European clubs..
Abi u want to tell me that tournaments such as indian premier league (cricket), cricket, rugby and cricket world cup, have more viewership than the AFCON?
In 2019 alone, beIN sports reported a viewership of over 800 million for the AFCON, and they aren't even based in Sub-saharan Africa.

Supersport just couldn't monopolize the AFCON broadcasting right and they are feeling too proud to sublet it from the Togolose company that won the right

waiting for them to find stability in their club often times rob us of the chance to hv them. In such cases many of them prefer sticking to their country of birth who would come calling aggressively

I am of the opinion that they should even be lured when they re yet to hit stardom. Earning few minutes to the end of official games won’t hurt but will tie them down to us for life

If we did the same with Eze even when he was with Wimbledon in league 1 or during his first season in the championship with Reading he would hv been ours till date

Talking about Eze, I will put the blame on Rohr.. remember that Eze was invited to the super eagles training camp in March 2017.
After the 2018 world cup, it was clear that the team needed a midfield rebuild.. Rohr refused to call up Eze.. He kept calling up Mikel, Iwobi, Ndidi, Etebo and Ogu..

I agree with your point sha... We can try and cap tie some promising ones early if we wre serious about it and they want to play for us..

If the player is an innit boy or plays in epl and accrue huge wage to him that's the best player

Dude does not even go in details to talk on players qualities and what he brings to the team.

Imagine even using Fisayo to diss a Defensive Midfielder? Who does that?

They don't play same role and moreover Alhassan replaced a DM that is like for like replacement

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 that bros sometimes dey type like say na only for England dem dey play football

No be this same Tim wey I watch playing for QPR last season? To be honest the boy has potentials but not a super eagles material yet. Also capping him for future purposes isn’t a bad idea

If he is too good as komekn is trying to force us to believe Villa won’t be insisting on selling him after rejecting few loan proposals from championship clubs especially from QPR where the boy played last season

Villa will sell him possibly this Jan window

I'm very sure there are dozens of players like Tim scattered across Europe.. Players who get some opportunities for their club senior teams once in a while, but aren't established players . I don't think we should be targeting such players.. we should be looking at the ones who have found stability in decent clubs and leagues.

The coach replaced a DM with a DM and here you're mentioning Fisayo who plays upfront in the midfield and you're evening berating Alhassan not to be on his level

Komekn doesn't hesitate to hide his bias and it's really irritating..

He used to be a known hater of the Turkish league, calling it a retirement league, but suddenly, a Turkish league player is better than a Belgian league player because say na innit boy

First of all none of our midfielders will get on that bench as it stands., to sit next to Tim Iroegbunam.

When Arsenal captain Odegaard was warming bench permanently at Real Madrid, Arsenal paid £30 million for him, he signed on the 27th January 2021, and then three days later he came on against Manchester United. The rest they say is history.

There are benches and there are benches that are almost a badge of honour.

How many first team EPL games had Iwobi played before getting into the SE ❓, I will tell you ZERO

You too dey hype rubbish..
So Iwobi, Onyeka, Aribo and Ndidi can't make that Aston Villa midfield, not even the bench?
Thanks to Emery, Aston Villa are looking good this season, but they are still not far from being a mid table team like the ones the core of our midfielders player in..

By your standard and logic, Tim shouldnt be in the conversation for super eagles call up.. he is a bench warmer and also the least paid player in his club...EOD!
