Some time ago the General threatened brime stone and sulfur if there was rigging in any election in nigeria, especially the 2015 general elections and this drew wide spread condemnation from all angles of the nigerian state. After series of research I came to conclusions without been sentiment. That the General was advocating for a free and fair election, void of election malpractice or a minimised form of electoral fraud, but it was was referred to it as sham and a travesty of what he stood for,but in real sense the general advocated for democracy but he simply was in a hysterical mood and as an army General u did expect that from him. We could use the other Generals as a case study to know that army officers are trained to be that way.
On the other hand I see Dr. Jona and Prof. Jega trying their best to practice a free and fair election as seen in Edo state. I think Jona and Jega can be scored better and be praised so they could be energised and fully prepared for the 2015 General elections and easing nerves that the election will be bloody. So I think the different parties in nigeria are working to enhance a free and fair election come 2015, and this could be called a welcome development because everybody in power will now try to appease the masses knowing that failure to do so will be their!!!
