Politics › Re: Hausa And Fulani? What Is The Difference? by DanKan0: 5:44am On Jan 31, 2012 |
in Nigeria theres not really any difference now. Maybe in some more rural places in Adamawa you can find 'pure fulani', but settled ones no difference really, fulanis are of course in many other countries. But Nigeria of course has huge population realtively so more of them would be here, |

merengue: @ndahbros and publisher: Thank you so very much for your incisive posts, you have just hit the nail on the head. In addition, I have said and will continue to say that the elite (politicians and their private secctor collaborators) and not tribalism is Nigeria's problem. Secession won't solve the issue because Nigeria will not divide into four component parts, it will divide into over fourty tiny nations because nobody will want to remain in a nation and be lorded over. Urhobos, Itsekiris and Ijaws can never stay together, Ijebus, Remos & Egbas hate each other, Ibadan & Old Oyo also, same with the Ilajes and other sub-tribes in Ondo so how O'dua? Idomas, Tivs, Beroms and others will never accept to be part of the Arewas. Onitsha people, Ukwuanis, Ibibios, Oguta people will never agree to Biafra so who gets what? Igbo leaders have shown themselves to be blooody bastards who would sacrifice their own kin for material benefits, in this regard they are no different from the so-called leaders in other geo-political zones so let us stop lying to ourselves. Nigeria is all we have, lets make it work. correct, |
Politics › Re: ‘Return Home’, Igbo Leaders Tell Igbos In The North by DanKan0: 7:25pm On Jan 30, 2012 |
publisher: The fortunate or unfortunate truth is that Nigeria is here to stay. Igbos will always return to the north cos the vast majority of northerners appreciate their presence but the fanatical minorities tend to destroy everything. After the civil war,it was only in northern Nigeria that Igbos reclaimed their abandoned properties 100% intact. While Our so-called southern brothers jostled to acquire Igbo properties left behind, till this day some Igbo properties in Lagos,Port harcourt and Calabar are yet to be returned to their rightful owners. If we have not judged all Yorubas based on the activities of 'agberos' and 'omo oniles',let us please not judge all Northerners based on Boko Haram. Nation building is about crisis management,if we cant manage Nigeria now, there's no way we can manage a Biafra or Odua republic. Do u think all Igbos are the same? A dicothomy exists between Anambra,Imo and Ebonyi Igbos, each with different orientation and dialects, not to mention segregation issues like Osu,Ohu etc. Those of u who have parents that lived in Biafra during the war should go ask them what happened in that region;how some igbos murdered or ridiculed their wealthier returnee kins from other parts of Nigeria. If Igbos are truly decendants of Jews as some claim, then this is food for thought: Even after the holocaust of World war 2,the Jews remain in Germany today and continue to prosper. sensible 'realist' post instead of Nairaland fantasy lived out by some. |

Omo_Tier1: Isn't this a case of self deceit Referendum my foot! Will dividing Nigeria into two solve the greed and high heaven corruption and wantom neglect of the political leadership in Delta state?
Maybe you can better educate us on how this will bring about even development in the region and raise the millions wallowing in poverty from Burutu to Bomadi down to Otuke This is what makes me laugh. Nobody ever answers the question. They just come out with endless theory alliance this middlebelt that 'Core North' that Islam this. Absolutley nothing practical. |

Wake me up when the talk stops and action starts.
You know people aint serious when they see secession as the no1 goal instead of end corruption. Wait there and see which one of your leaders will agree. You aint going anywhere until bad leaders are voted out or removed forecully. Take your pick. Nowhere will this be the hardest than in the SE where you are more supressed by your leaders than anyone else in the nation o. But I suppose its the 'born to rule' fault abi?
The amount of money Niger Delta has been taking example where is the devolopment? Can someone please explain this to me. What makes you think magically all will be good upon succesion? Just another case of all theory zero practicallity.
I dey laugh o. |
