ItsTime4me:I don't think anyone was willing to coach Chelsea with the transfer ban. I personally believe Lampard is a stop gap measure until the ban expires. I don't think Lamps is Abrahamovic"s first choice to coach Chelsea. He is just a stop gap. |
I liked Lampard as a player but as a manager I am just not convinced at his tactical ability at this level. A pity the ban prevented him from making his own signings. It is still early days..... |
Chelsea are living dangerously. |

While I can understand the silly blogger and his poorly written article, I just can't wrap my head around why this silly article is on the front page of Nairaland. ![]() |

LordReed:An omnipotent and omniscient being that can magically will everything into existence but strangely needs puny humans to Express its words for it. The religious refuse to think and that is the first problem of religion because it makes you suspend reasoning for blind faith and rabid emotions. |
LordReed:Isn't it strange and amusing that a so called omniscient and omnipotent being requires ordinary and puny humans to write out and say out its words? Is this omniscient and omnipotent being illiterate and dumb that it needs humans to Express itself? ![]() |

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2agGEqgigA CHRISTIANS CAN JUSTIFY ANY ACTION OF THEIR GOD. DEBATING THEM IS A WASTE OF TIME IN MY OPINION. |
Testimonies are funny at times. ![]() Read of one guy who claimed that the bus he was travelling in was involved in a ghastly accident and everyone in the bus died except himself. In the midst of all the blood and gore this guy claimed his survival with lots of broken limbs as a testimony of the power of his God. ![]() Testimonies in my opinion are just a way religionists try to reassure themselves that their God exists and he has not abandoned them. No testimony is logical just conjectures and blind hope. |
Usual Christian scare mongering tactics. ![]() Dionysius/Bacchus was a Greek God of wine. Like all deities he has his own myths and fables. It is amazing that the OP of this thread managed to concoct and link his write up to non existent demons which Christian's are known to spot everywhere. ![]() Here are a few facts about Dionysius~ Dionysus was primarily known as the God of the Vine. He was also referred to as Bacchus. Dionysus and DEMETER, the Goddess of the Corn, were the supreme deities of the earth. Unlike the immortal gods, who were often hostile toward human beings, Dionysus and Demeter were benevolent toward mankind. Dionysus was the younger of the two, and little is known about how he came to take his place beside Demeter to be worshipped. Dionysus and Demeter were worshipped at Eleusis, a little town near Athens. Dionysus was a happy god during the harvest, but during the winter he languished along with the rest of the Earth. Dionysus was the last god to enter Olympus. Dionysus was the son of Zeus and the Theban princess Semele. He was the only god who had a mortal parent. He was born in Thebes. He was born of fire and nursed by rain. His birth corresponds to the development of grapes: heat ripens the fruit and water keeps it alive. Upon reaching adulthood, Dionysus wandered the Earth, teaching men the culture of the vine. Many festivals were held in honor of Dionysus: the Lesser or Rural Dionysia, the Greater or City Dionysia, the Anthesteria, and the Lenaea. Dionysus was variously represented in art as a full-grown bearded man, as a beast, and as a slight youth. Dionysus was insulted by Lycurgus, one of the kings in Thrace. Dionysus initially retreated and took refuge in the sea, but later he imprisoned Lycurgus for opposing his worship. Performances of tragedy and comedy were a part of the festivals thrown in his honor. Dionysus was also honored in lyric poetry. Dionysus was once captured by pirates because he looked like the son of a king. They kidnapped him, envisioning the ransom his parents would pay upon his return. Aboard the ship, the pirates were unable to confine him; the ropes fell apart when they touched Dionysus. Dionysus rescued the princess of Crete, Ariadne, and subsequently fell in love with her. Upon her death, Dionysus placed the crown he had given her among the stars. Though Dionysus was mostly a kind and generous deity, he could be cruel when necessary. Pentheus, a king of Thebes, tried to stop the frenzied worship of Dionysus. He attempted to imprison the God of Wine, while hurling insults and accusations at him. Dionysus explained his own eminence calmly, but Pentheus was unreceptive. Dionysus caused the Theban women to go mad so that they thought Pentheus a wild beast. They tore Pentheus limb from limb. |
GNOSTCISM All matter is evil, and the non-material, spirit-realm is good. There is an unknowable God, who gave rise to many lesser spirit beings called Aeons. The creator of the (material) universe is not the supreme god, but an inferior spirit (the Demiurge). Gnosticism does not deal with "sin," only ignorance. To achieve salvation, one needs gnosis (knowledge). |
MARCIONISM Marcionism was an Early Christian dualist belief system that originated in the teachings of Marcion of Sinope in Rome around the year 144.[ Marcion believed that Jesus was the savior sent by God, and Paul the Apostle was his chief apostle, but he rejected the Hebrew Bible and the God of Israel. Marcionists believed that the wrathful Hebrew God was a separate and lower entity than the all-forgiving God of the New Testament. Marcionism, similar to Gnosticism, depicted the God of the Old Testament as a tyrant or demiurge (see also God as the Devil). Marcion was the son of a bishop of Sinope in Pontus. About the middle of the second century (140–155) he traveled to Rome, where he joined the Syrian Gnostic Cerdo. Marcion's canon, possibly the first Christian canon ever compiled, consisted of eleven books: a gospel consisting of ten sections drawn from the Gospel of Luke; and ten Pauline epistles.Marcion's canon rejected the entire Old Testament, along with all other epistles and gospels of what would become the 27-book New Testament canon, which during his life had yet to be compiled. Paul's epistles enjoy a prominent position in the Marcionite canon, since Paul was considered by Marcion to be Christ's only true apostle. Marcionism was denounced by its opponents as heresy and written against – notably by Tertullian in a five-book treatise, Adversus Marcionem (Against Marcion), in about 208. Marcion's writings are lost, though they were widely read and numerous manuscripts must have existed. Even so, many scholars claim it is possible to reconstruct and deduce a large part of ancient Marcionism through what later critics, especially Tertullian, said concerning Marcion. |
