html is not a programming language its just a thing you cn turn into an hobby because its just a mark-up language for designing websites..python is a an OOP programming language and have nothing in common. so go ahead.

you might b looking at web services. if its reading from text file hw do u intend to populate d text file manually or automatically? is it desktop or console? wat level of java r u? so many questions u need to answer.

cool... I used netbeans for the whole thing but right now I have bn able to fix the desktop stand alone. this is how I got it fixed.
1. I used java persistent api so in my persistence.xml file I changed my db url to jdbc:derby://localhost:1527/myDb; create=TRUE; d create=true line is to create d database afresh anytime u migrate d application or d db got missing.
2. after cleaning & building ur application add ur db to ur dist folder n add ur db to ur class path in d customize dialog... u cn get d customize dialog by clicking d customize link at d top of d netbeans window or select project properties n der u go.
3. distribute d app but mk sure u include a class or method dat starts ur database automatically every time u Run d application.
for a network distributable version I think one cn use tcp/ip protocol or RMI to mk remote or system on a wide or local area network to hv access to d database while u keep the db on d 'servers' system. I hope this helps

gfullmoon: Bro watch the nature & sensitivity of the job you/we are doing. Does it look to you like a job that's worth 57k? Ask questions & make indepth research within your Workstation you will see the clear truth that the 57k is just Basic not total pay package. Though noone seems to be trully sure of the total sum but Allowances for over time alone is about #20,000 for EROs . So what is stated in your appointment letter is a test of your faith,believe you me your total pay package is six digit. Do do your work deligently ,don't be discourage is well! Otunba77: You are right, by Monday, many will resume, Most Current officers in the NIMC as at today had been deployed to Head of Service office , they are to go for screening at their various Zonal offices next week Monday before resuming in Abuja(HOSF) office who will now deploy them to other agencies...
