javadoctor: All u need to know is the derby client/server architecture.it embeds Derby and manages requests from network clients. The server setup has derbynet.jar which has an instance of derby embedded in the classpath. All u need do is create ur database,place it on a directory on d server. den run the startNetworkServer.bat This will start the Network Server up on port 1527. The next thing is to setup ur client side,add the driver derbyclient.jar and derbytools.jar to the client which is optional but required if u re using ij tools.the derbyclient is used by different clients accessing the network database.jpa is added on the client side on a different jvm and,the database is remote on.a different jvm. And more do u think RMInvocation will make things easier in d light of dis applicatn or i should adhere strictly to my previous flow as highlightd in my previous post.

good day fellow nairalanders. I need an insight into an issues that concerns my software am currently working on. it involves access a java derby database on a network. I wan to do I in such a way that all the computers inthe network. can have their specific priveldges in their access to th software eg. admin officer, accountant and director. all should b able to access the database but can only av access to the inner features of the software when they login while the java derby database engine serve as the backend. this software is working on my local pc and everything working as intended but when I deploy it on. 3-system network in which system serve for each roles my database is on one of. three systems. how can I get three system connected such that they can all access the database and be able to perform their respective functions which involves accessing the database. FYI I used Java Persistence API an toplink library for my project. I'm using netbeans and it has been the work very easier for me. so what are the libraries I need to import into the system unit that houses the database and do I have to include the IP address of the my server system into the database url at the client end. please help.. honest an constructive criticisms are highly welcome. thank you all

dandutse01: @danyl, whoever told u that guyz from the north have startd collecting APL, isn't telling you d truth, i'm from jigawa state and i have friends from atleast 6 states of the north who have attended the interview none of which received neither iv for training nor APL. so pls stop relying on rumours

my source didn't said that with 100% assurnance but that may be what is going to happen next..

shiloh: Latest info on ground now is that appointment letters are being printed out and they r doing it state by state for different roles. So let's all kip our fingers crossed. As for dose saying they will skip training,its not true,maybe other positions might not be trained but enrolment and registration officers will undergo training even if its for 2wks. So let's intensify in prayers and I pray dose who ve nt bn called will b called soon,and dose of us who did d interview will also b contacted soon. Cheers!!!

what u r saying is true,i heard d same thn frm an officer working wt nimc,infact the training myt b conducted at each state headquarter. I heard dt dos guys in d north has started col lectn der APL so dy can start Asap n because they dont have any registratn centers so dy av start earlier. One thn i knw is that in every rumour there is an element of truth especially in ds one.

I was Informed by one of their officers that all our credentials are going to be screened before they cn call anyone for training apart from the fact that they are still conducting interviews for other categories. so this might take longer than we expected. I also think that they might want to forestall any possibility of diuretic retrenchment of their workforce.

Sleek05: I got an invite for dis NIMC interview last week (recommended list) but I could not make it cuz I'm currently doing my masters. Is it true dat d training starts soon and one may be posted anywhere cuz my masters is in lagos and it doesn't end until november. Dat was my fear! I really do hope I don't regret this.

hello fellow nlds, I just wrote a script for checking result online for a small web portal nuthin discovered that the script is working fine on my local server but not working on the site online. please does anyone have idea what may went wrong. I have done dat,though am using JPA-java persistence API, i've seen some resources 2handle it anyway. Bt until i test it,i may not knw wat the outcome wil be.

Good day fellows, i'm almost through with an app that uses java derby database as my back end. I want the applicatn to be run on a local area network while the users can all access the derby database located in the host system in the LAN. My questn is how do i make it such that all the uses can access the database concurrently. Though i used the ClientDriver version of d derby driver. I'm thinking of using remote method invocation but it might not be necessary. Pls guys how do i go about it. Thanks.

I will list for you common web apps vulnerabilities:
1. SQLi - SQL Injection
2. XSS - Cross Site Scripting
3. RFi - Remote File Inclusion
4. Directory Transversal
5. DoS - Denial of Service

and lots more, but these are the commonest, especially SQLi

So it depends on the nature of your Web App. Is it a CMS like Joomla or WordPress or a custom Web App? Was it developed with ASP,PHP, or JSP.

Another thing is that, is your website hosted on a secured web server?
