Date of Application: 14th April, 2013
Medical Instructions: 10th June, 2013
Medicals carried out: 11th June, 2013
Requested document submitted via email: 11th June, 2013
Additional supporting documents submitted via email: 18th June, 2013
Made an enquiry on my status when I heard no response: 5th July, 2013
TRV issued: 9th July, 2013
Collected: 10th July, 2013

PS: I am a scholarship student so I only submitted my award letter. I also think if after several weeks of submitting you do not receive a response, you can shrewdly visit the CDHC

latra: My good pple I submitted on the April 17th and all this while it has been like hell waiting endlessly for a call for Medical but to no avail, just yesterday here I even tut of going to CDHC to make a an inquiring abt my application. Behold just this morning at about 11:40am I saw an email alert from CDHC asking me to proceed without delay for medical examination.... I can't shout please can u help me shout GOD IS GREAT!!!

Since yu're resuming by January.
I'd advise you to wait till, first week in August to renew yur PP
Immigration wld renew a passport that has 6months or less for it to expire (without you going to abuja) and you can collect it same day.
Then proceed to VAC and submit both d Old and new passport (old one to show travel history)
That's all
Even on the check list, it was stated that "submit a passport that will cover the length of your study cos VO wldn't issue visa more than the expiry date of your PP" (I think its on d study permit app made outside of canada's instruction)

Btw....study visa is diff frm visit Visa.



I heard sumtin like your case @ VFS....their was a lady wit a passport dat wud xpire in 7 months. She was advised to renew it first..the VFS guy said if one have a valid canada study visa, n your passport expires b4 it. You'll have to come bak home to reapply for the visa.

adonai36: House, I want to bless God that my study permit as been approved. CIC sent me a mail this morning that my application as been approved. I applied alongside with my spouse as a dependant, and both visas were issued.

bullstriker: @all, finally,i received my first medical call after 3 denials in 2yrs.i submitted on 5th april.i give kudos to each member of this house,especially to oga Siga whose contructive critisms and input made my letter of intent outstanding;thats the only doc that was absent in all my previous applications.
where is mercylicious,xtus, et al who has been denied twice or more,u can still get it.

similoluwa123: I picked up my passport this morning. I make sure I got home before I open it because anything could happen. Guess what? Visitor visa stamp for 4 months. The only problem is that I must travel latest on Sunday June 2nd because the name of the event and date is noted on d stamp. D event is schedule for June 3rd to 6th in Victoria, BC. Anyway I thank God for everything because my girl emailed me d ticket.

aodis: I have this great concern, I applied to MUN in oct 2012, and decision was made on my admission mid april dis year. I have tried and tried to get an outcome of my admission, but they keep telling me to wait for my package via Normal post.I understand most pple got a hint of their admission via email and later the sch sends dem a letter by post. Will I den be correct dat those who where rejected admission do not get any alert via email but only by post as is my case? Even at the SGS I was told to wait!

frederal: its normal, same thing they told me at enugu. if only they will issue u a genuine one, its OK. I spent more than 17k to get it by myself; though its 6k

Odinwa: They don chop me already, I used 2k to certify 3 documents becos I never expected such thing will happen in a Federal high court Okoyi. I will still pay that woman visit again, she must pay me back the 1,400naira balance lol. She didn't even give me any receipt. I feel so stupid now lol.

Cos it was written in d mail that, "The original letter has been
sent to your permanent mailing address by regular mail"
