Efewestern: So because they produce cheaper steel, others shouldn't have a steel company? There's no reasonable nation without a functional steel company, even if we don't export, we should be able to meet our local demand.
Let's not even talk about the thousands of jobs that will be created should we have our steel plants working, I know how many people lived a comfortable life when Aladja steel company was still functional. It makes no economic sense to just have it running for the sake of it especially when importation is cheeper than local production, well except they ban importation of steel but then again Nigeria is poor with a wretched purchasing power and can we really handle the related inflation that follows it? This is another foreign rice - local rice scenario, haven't we learnt anything from it? Would Nigerians better off? Would the senseless trade off be worth it? |

obailala: Victim mentality, jealousy and ethnic hating has already started this early morning. Please provide details of how, who and when the so called Hausa cabal stopped an Urhobo man or anyone else from setting up a refinery. Since 2016, the FG has literally been begging private individuals and enterprises to come take licenses for modular refineries.... It's not enough to just peddle baseless beer parlour gibberish into the public space as if it were fact. Kindly provide the details of this allegation, and do well to provide the name of the so called wealthy Urhobo man whose refinery was stopped by Hausas. Thanks! I owe u nothing Fork off |

Once dangote finishes his own, they will ban fuel importation and he alone will corner the market for himself. We will cry monopoly but he will get richer and there's nothing anyone can do about it Considering how uselessly useless oil is going especially in the next 30yrs, is such capital intensive project still advisable? |

Oleh and Ozoro also take levy, their youths might not be troublesome like the ones in Uvwie and environs though.
