If I hadn't known better would I would wish him to go so some fools could search across Africa for someone who can keep 30 rich egos on their toes for 3 years I hope he doesn't ooo. I'm a supporter of such good manager albeit with better tactical acumen or a good tactical assistant |

Garba was very dedicated Now Obodo was a true definition of indiscipline and was caught a few times in conflict with prostitutes during his time in Udinese. I think one of his clubs also cut him from the team due to discipline issues. |

komekn: If you look at the way Sana, Raheem, Aguero and Gabriel play for Many city. Dribbling without end product in the modern game is simply NONSENSE FOOTBALL ENTERTAINMENT and will lead you nowhere.
We Africans love it but European football looks at it only when there is consistent continous top class outstanding END PRODUCT. Without that, it becomes unnecessary excessive noise making.
He will be very wise to stay at Villareal and learn and develop more. It's better to improve and create consistency and long term career progression than short term gains that may not enhance his career. In summary, what Komekn has been trying to telling Chukwueze fan boys (which is virtually every Nigerian) is that unnecessary dribbling without end-product is Chukwueze's bane and the earlier he matures in his play, the better. No team buys players for entertainment but to win games, the burden of which falls mainly on the attackers. If he doesn't score, then a good assist would do his career a world of Good Chukwueze, over to you!!!! |

Done Deal : Southampton Sign Highly-Rated Nigerian Striker From Anderlecht Through a statement on their official website, Premier League side Southampton have announced the signing of Nigerian striker Kazeem Olaigbe.
The 2003-born player ended his association with Belgian giants Anderlecht after agreeing a scholarship with The Saints.
Olaigbe is considered one of the hottest young prospects in Belgium and the dual-eligible youngster has caps for the country's U15 and U16 national teams.
He was named Most Valuable Player of the International Youth Tournament 2016, having starred as Anderlecht reached the final where they lost to Tottenham Hotspur.
Southampton have handed Olaigbe and twelve teenagers two-year scholarships as part of their new intake of Academy scholars.
He will be hoping to make a name for himself in the upcoming season at Southampton U18s.

breezy147: What is he learning in Villarreal? He has spent a full season an still does no know how to properly cross into the 18 box.
I say move if the opportunity comes. He is the exact tool coaches like klopps or Guardiola need to turn into a Messi-like monster. To play under such coaches you just mentioned, you need to show consistency. They ate bidding their time especially with African talents who could be one-season wonders. If he does better in the new season, I see no reason why he won't catch the eyes of such coaches |

Danielnino00: Nigeria is too big a football nation to lack strikers... when Emenike retired we said the same thing that he will be missed...then Iheanacho and Ighalo stepped up.
I don't get why some of u aren't keen on us trying out new strikers!!
You think if we had decided to go and beg Emenike to come back in 2014, Ighalo and Iheanacho would have gotten their chance to impress? hell no! Gbam. Our young ones will step up simple Ighalo retiring is good news to me. If he likes let him live like a recluse |

ChrisKels: While our boys were busy going on a strike and fighting for money in an important tourney, this is what Algeria was found doing;
Bahgdad Bouhneja: “We play for Algeria, we don't play for money, we don't play for fame. When I enter the stadium(in the fennecs shirt), I only play for Algeria, I have nothing else I play for”. I said that this money thing distracted our boys in the early stages Its a pity to think that majority even earn way more than the money they were fighting for |

Danielnino00: Do we have a reliable striker?
Let me remind you that Ighalo himself wasn't reliable in the national team even when he was in form at Watford .He lost his starting shirt to a younger and untested Iheanacho .Iheanacho rose to the occasion until he lost form...Ighalo was recalled to replace Iheanacho... We have Osimhen, Odey and Awoniyi...another prolific striker may emerge this season,u never know..
so to answer your question, we don't know if we have a reliable striker (as per national team form) until they are given the same kind of opportunity Iheanacho and Ighalo got .. You see what kills our football is over dependence on players that are not even consistent. We over depended on Mikel till he flopped at AFCON I will take any of these young guys anytime Ighalo should jejely retire. Its not by force!!! |

Lol bro Omeruo and Ekong na hypertension CBs abeg. Both are too erratic. Balo is better than both, and Rohr must be mad to think of discarding him Balo was worse than both in this AFCON He was in Brighton and he couldn't even stake a claim to the first team. Current form is what a manager looks at and not past glory. As bad as you may think Ekong and Omeruo were, they weren't as poor as Balogun in the just concluded season |

TheSuperNerd: Salif Sane reached the final with Senegal. Why wasn't he considered? What about Mandi of Algeria?
Truth is Omeruo outshone all these guys. Even Koulibaly made it based on his fame. He had to defend against Forwards from Benin, Uganda, Tanzania, Kenya with only Algeria and Tunisia providing real tests while Omeruo had to battle against Forwards from Cameroun, Guinea, Burundi (with Fiston Razak- Qualifiers 2nd top scorer), South Africa, Algeria and Tunisia... All tough tests. He didn't feature against Madagascar.
In games Omeruo featured, we registered 3 clean sheets. That's the clean sheet angle.
Omeruo was never beaten man for man throughout the tourney. Koulibaly was. Mandi was. Even Awaziem held same stat till the semis. But Omeuro finished with this stat intact despite the quality he faced unlike Koulibaly. You raised some good points However, the Judges feel appearing in the final is more important. I guess they based their choices on this I am sure that if Ighalo hadn't scored the highest number of goals, he might have never been considered |

komekn: If we are to look at things without bias, our defenders were poor.
Considering where Ekong and Omeruo play they were both making school boy errors.
Thankfully they already have clubs in better leagues if not they would be still stuck in Turkey.
The only players that performed above average for me where IGHALO, ETEBO, NDIDI and AINA. Yes, they had a poor tourney or at best an average tournament. I sugar coated it because I don't want to engage in arguments with anyone We used to think Defence was our strongest suit but it seems there is hardly any metric where our team is above average. Rohr needs to step up |

We conceded a goal in wvry match from the game against Madagascar till the Semifinal. This didn't exactly help the case of any Nigerian CB |

As far as the French are concerned, everyone is even and you don't have to break your back to be chosen as a black person, over a white person.
That is why their team has a majority black presence, or you think they can't find caucasians to fill the black roles? They do Those guys are just way better than their white compatriots Tell me which white person in the whole of France will displace Pogba, Umtiti, Mbappe et al |

The terms are not as difficult for an African immigrant to France.
You think a Chinese in Nigeria has to put in three times the effort of an average Nigerian to get a job here? Yes. It is quite unfair. The Chinese don't have to do this. But for African immigrants (or negros), we have to show that we are undebatably better than the citizens of those countries |
