Rohr promised to play attacking football. It is either he failed to keep his promises or he doesn't know how to. We had an above average tournament despite the win. Our boys didn't play to their full potentials. While we must be thankful to Rohr for bringing us the bronze medal after several years of absence from AFCON, he has too many deficiencies as a manager and he takes the majority of the blame for both our losses in this tournament. Rohr must make valuable use of the opportunity given to him in that Refresher course at Bayern Munich. I haven't seen the NFF do that for any local coach. He must open his mind to how football is played today and not in the conservative 80s. He shouldn't be caught sleeping in class because he is an old man . We need reinforcement badly. I expect our scouts to start with a pool of 50 players going forward (at least). We are too blessed with footballing talent to be serial underperformers. Mikel, Ogu, Akpeyi, Ezenwa, Alloy Agu has outlived their usefulness in this team. Musa, Ighalo, Balogun should be eased out slowly not because of their ability but due to ageing. We need replacements in our central midfield. Balogun needs to sit-up. Getting comfy on a bench because you're earning more is disastrous. Ask Iheanacho. Etebo and Ndidi deserve a long rest. Bar some errors, they are true fighters. Ekong needs to evaluate his career and performance at this AFCON. His performance was average and below expectations. One wonders if he is truly improving at Udinese or his double played for the SE instead of the real Ekong. Omeruo stills needs some polishing. One more season should do the trick. Chukwueze has a lot to learn. I am always wary when too much praises are heaped on a very young player that is not Mbappe. I hope such praises don't go to his head. He needs to learn to cross the ball or finish more accurately. Studying Robben's tapes should help if he really wants to surpass him but how many of our players have this mentality? Osimhen and Onyekuru have a lot to learn obviously. I wondered why Rohr didn't start them or give them enough game time but this AFCON exposed them. It is either they didn't bring their game or Rohr just doesn't know how to inspire confidence or they aren't good enough yet. We won the bronze. That is something but it is back to the drawing board. A good idea would be to regularly expose our local coaches (the most promising ones) to refresher courses. Pinnick is a good fund-raiser and I believe funds is not the major stumbling block but will. I expect the following guys to up their game and grab a place in the Super Eagles: Joe Aribo Azubuike something something...I don forhet Ovie Ejaria Odey Stephen Okereke Please feel free to add yours |

ChrisKels: Lucas Nmecha is no longer eligible for either Nigeria or England bro.
Manchester City striker Lukas Nmecha will represent Germany's national teams for the rest of his career after FIFA approved a one- time change of association. Even if he fails to make the grades through the German rsnks, he can no longer turn around to play for England or Nigeria. Thanks for the info. I appreciate |

andrew444: Make una continue till all the player go reject una, thats why most of you didnt see fault in balogun being a bench warmer at brighton but if na pure naija na ranting everywhere. Please bring out where I rated Balogun over Omeruo in this AFCON? I have always being a fierce critic of bench warmers, whether local or foreign. Others may favor anything foreign but not me. If you're good enough, you should be invited whether local or foreign and if you say no, life goes on. Simple |

That dude want to play for only Germany and England as it stands not, you can take that to the bank Guy, your problem is that sometimes, you jump to conclusion without understanding antecedents This guy started and came of the bench in some cup matches last season and was named among the pre-season squad Even If he refuses us, will he be the first or the last |

The match is currently been played.
It seems Pep rates this boy highly. It will behoove Rohr not to look his way. |

DrLikita12: Rohr said 'he is on the same page as his employers' on a Thisday article. I doubt if he's going anywhere because he was talking about 2022. He also mentioned that players who have not played will get a chance. https://www.thisdaylive.com/index.php/2019/07/17/rohr-keeps-nigerians-guessing-on-his-next-move/
Also, it looks like Niger Tornadoes will be playing on the continent regardless of the result of the game between them and Kano Pillars. So: CAFCL: Pillars and Enyimba CAFCC: Tornadoes and Rangers If Alloy Agu knows what he is doing, he ought to be at this tournament to scout for good GKs. NFF should begin to ask him some tough and revealing questions? |

realpoacher: Joke as in.... Baba Uzoho is better than Akpeyi by far
He should be starting instead of Akpeyi. If Rohr resigns today after the match, Alloy Agu should follow suit. Unless NFF claims not to know the mess he has made of our GK position, then he should just retire and remain anonymous till further notice. How can one man be such a mediocre at his job? |

TheGoodJoe: Brilliant is totally different from character. I talked about Sylvanus Okpala's tactical acumen.
By the way, the highlight of Sylvanus Okpala's coaching career was him playing a big part in the tactical displays of the Super Eagles when we won the AFCON under Keshi.
When he was sacked by the NFF, Keshi fought tooth and nail to get Okpala back because Keshi understood Okpala's importance tactically. How are you so sure that the reason Keshi fought for Okpala to be reinstated? If the allegations made against Keshi were true, then Okpala may have been the best accomplice he had |

Just watching some past FIFA WC highlights
Is it that Africans don't understand the game of football?
Why are we lagging behind?
In every FIFA tournament, the majority have a poor outing.
What could actually b wrong with African football? (rhetorical though)
Why corruption and thief thief never let us see road?
Is it a curse or what? |

Do you think I will suggest so had SE had a good goalkeeper? As for his club form, only God can interfere. I get you. And I am saying that Alampasu, Ezenwa, Uzoho and Akpeyi don't deserve to be in the SE. They don't deserve to be invited. |

Odunayaw: We struggled to score 14 goals immediately afterwards? Just look right there, posting for the sake of it, ..much younger goalkeeper (why?) to understudy and get exposure Understudy and get exposure will have stopped the Freekick ba. We're talking of GK woes and you're asking for someone to come and take notes for thesis.
This emotional rant is nauseating especially when lies and incoherence joins it Yea, you're right about this. A young Gk is not the solution for the immediate term I will take a regular, performing NPFL GK (that has/had/will play in CAF champions league) over any of the guys we currently have. Those small boys are for the youth team. GK is about experience and exposure. Understudy a more experienced GK, yes but not to take over the reins immediately |
