truthCoder:

I visited your site.

It needs a UI revamp. It looks like something from the days of geocities. Your site must be better than NL to even start competing in the first instance.

Secondly, it is plagued with the Nigerian webmasters addiction to intrusive adverts. As long as you dont have enough views/engagements to give you at least $1,000 every month, splurging with ads should be avoided. If you want to sha do adverts to at least meet hosting costs, then make them non intrusive. Look at Nairaland.

Tip: Take a look at Quora.

No vex say i dey blunt small.

At-all, I no vex o... thanks for the feedback, ofcourse there are things that I could still do to make the UI better, but from a user point of view and to start, I tried to make the UI as simple as possible, people don't have the attention span to concentrate that long (if its not video or pictures), since the site is News based, I try to go to the point as fast as possible. Look at Nairaland, Craiglist, HackerNews, LIB changed her interface too but not much... even Google frontpage... If I'm a News site, people just want to read the news and leave. (9jalinks dot com)

Secondly, I'm not addicted to ads... if I had my way sef... ads no go dey, its just to fund the server cost presently which is not even being met by the way... but small small coins dey enter sha, I created space to host personal ads but nothing yet because I don't have the traffic of NL or LIB... Insha Allah as soon as I get there, I'll do away with ads asap.

I'll google ways to make the Ads non-intrusive but that means again that my coins will reduce.

Lol. Quora get deep pocket o from Silicon Valley, Me I'm just a guy from Ibadan trying to compete with NL, LIB, Twitter, IG, TT, FB and some other Nigerian popular Blogsites.

But thanks for your feedback, if there are other ways I can get better, please let me know.

Again, its a Marathon and not a sprint... Insha Allah we'll get there one day.

I built something similar and running it since 2020, building the site is not the issue, its marketing it and have people use it... I've had a bit of luck since 2020 that I started but ofcourse I'm running at a loss since, server fee and the likes. My site is 9jalinks dot com

I feel if you want to build something similar, you'd need a bit of luck, building is the easy part... but can you push for long (5-7 years), do you have a deep pocket, are you ready to collaborate with others?

TikTok didn't just beat FB, IG, SNAP by luck... it spent a lot of money, also acquiring Musical.ly by the way.

Checkout my site and let me know what you think.

Nairaland / General / Court Of Appeal Reduces Sentence Of Child Sex Trafficker From 26 To 7 Years by Darteyyyy(m): 4:30pm On Sep 08, 2022
The Port Harcourt Division of the Court of Appeal has reduced the 26-year sentence passed by a Federal High Court sitting in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State against Yunusa Dahiru in May 2020.

DAILY NIGERIAN reports that Justice Jane Inyang had sentenced Mr Dahiru, aka Yellow, to 26-years imprisonment for child trafficking and sexual exploitation of a teenager Ese Oruru.

Dissatisfied by the decision of the court, Mr Dahiru appealed the case, seeking acquittal.

After hearing Mr Dahiru’s lawyers, Abdul Mohammed, SAN, Yusuf Dankofa, Huwaila Mohammed, Sunusi Musa and Kayode Olaosebikan, the appellate court allowed the appeal in part.

The panel, led by JS Iykegh, however, dismissed the appeal against the conviction of the Mr Dahiru for offences charged, but said the lower court erred by imposing a sentence of seven years, which is above the maximum provided for in the law.

While affirming the conviction of the appellant in the judgment of Federal High Court, the Court of Appeal however said Mr Dahiru would serve the sentence concurrently as against consecutive sentence passed by the trial court.

By this order, Mr Dahiru will serve seven years imprisonment from the date of first arraignment, October 25, 2018, and will regain freedom in May next year.

Nairaland / General / Ballon D'or Football Award Winners To Get Nfts by Darteyyyy(m): 4:12pm On Sep 08, 2022
The France-based award, run by the Equipe media group, has feted the beautiful game’s best players for 66 years, bestowing on them global acclaim and a trophy in the shape of a golden football.

But this year Equipe is seeking to move into the crypto sector, offering a range of digital tokens (NFTs) — free for the winners but with hundreds more being sold to the public.

Sport is awash with NFT projects as organisers, clubs and players seek to cash in on their fame.

The tokens are pieces of computer code stored on a blockchain, the digital ledger that holds information about digital assets.

They can be linked to a piece of art, a video game avatar or a real-world object, as with the Ballon d’Or.

NFTs are generally bought by people who hope to sell them on at a profit, their value based on supposed scarcity and collectability.

But the whole of the crypto sector has suffered a rout this year with the value of currencies and assets such as NFTs taking a pummelling.

Nevertheless, Equipe said the Ballon d’Or NFTs were part of a longer term strategy.

“This first collection will be followed by others as the Ballon d’Or, and more broadly the Equipe and Amaury groups, wish to project themselves in a sustainable way into the world of web3, the new age of decentralised internet,” said the media group.

Equipe said it would auction three NFTs that would give the holders “VIP access” to the awards ceremony on 17 October, followed by hundreds more after the ceremony.

Karim Benzema, the France and Real Madrid striker, is runaway favourite to win the men’s award this year.

Appropriately enough, he launched his own NFT collection earlier this year.

Nairaland / General / She Moved To The U.S., Met A Boyfriend On Craigslist. Then She Vanished by Darteyyyy(m): 6:35pm On Sep 04, 2022
Irene Gakwa's last WhatsApp video call with her parents was filled with gentle ribbing. But beneath the banter were hints that something was off.

When her face appeared on the phone screen, her dad teased her that she looked hungry and tired. Her smile was more subdued, he noted. Her short hair, usually braided, was rumpled.

"Make sure you drink hot milk and relax," her dad said from his living room in the Kenyan capital of Nairobi.

That was February 24, the last time anyone in her family saw her.

A month later -- less than three years after Gakwa left Kenya for the United States -- her family reported her missing. At the time of the February video call, Gakwa's parents were not aware she was living in Gillette, Wyoming, with a man she'd met on a Craigslist dating forum.

They also had no way of knowing that police would later accuse the man of removing money from her checking account, maxing out her credit card and deleting her email account. And they never imagined that six months would go by without a word from her.

"She's always been a daddy's girl," said her father, Francis Kambo, in a recent phone interview from Nairobi. He took a deep breath as he recalled that last video call with his only daughter and youngest of his three children.

"She was supposed to come home for Christmas this year. I was going to buy that ticket myself for her to come if she couldn't afford it," he added, his voice shaking.

"Now I don't know if I'll ever see her again."

HER WORRIED FAMILY MEMBERS SPAN TWO CONTINENTS

Gakwa's worried family spans two continents 9,000 miles apart.

Her parents live in Nairobi while her two older brothers, Chris Munga and Kennedy Wainaina, live in the Idaho city of Meridian -- a Boise suburb.

Her father started worrying in late February when she did not respond to repeated video calls. This was unusual for the 32-year-old, who spoke to her parents about every other day.

And her written messages sounded odd, her family said. Instead of the mix of Swahili and Kenyan slang she uses, the messages were in stilted English -- like someone was using Google Translate to send them, said Wainaina, her oldest brother.

"The texts would be out of place," her father said.

In early March -- between the last video call and the day she was reported missing -- her parents received some short WhatsApp messages from her account. Some made excuses for why she wasn't doing video calls.

"Dad, I dropped my phone in the water and now the microphone doesn't work," one message said.

Another said, "I just want you to know I love and miss you and mom."

"We miss you ... we want to see you, not just chat on WhatsApp," her father responded. "We love you always. You will ... be my daughter forever."

HER BOYFRIEND TOLD POLICE SHE PACKED HER BAGS AND LEFT

The last WhatsApp message came on March 9, her father said.

The three siblings share a cell phone family plan. After Gakwa's brothers could not reach her, they looked through her phone records and called a close friend she'd talked to numerous times.

That's how they found out she had been living with her boyfriend, Nathan Hightman, 39, in a modest three-bedroom house in Gillette. The couple had dated since 2020, but had broken up several times, Wainaina said. Her brothers thought they'd parted ways and were not aware they'd rekindled their romance and moved in together.

Her brothers reported her missing to the Gillette Police Department on March 20, and an officer talked to Hightman the same day, according to an affidavit of probable cause in a related separate criminal case against her boyfriend.

Hightman told the officer he last saw Gakwa in late February, when she came home one night, packed her clothing in two plastic bags and left in a dark-coloured SUV, the affidavit said. He told police he hadn't heard from her since. He also said he withdrew money from her bank account so she would be forced to contact him if she needed money, the affidavit said.

Hightman did not respond to the brothers' request to hand over her stuff in their home, Wainaina said. They implored him to give them her documents, including her Kenyan passport, but Hightman declined, Wainaina added.

Hightman is considered a person of interest in her disappearance and has "not made himself available to detectives looking to resolve questions that exist in the investigation," Gillette police said in a statement.

"We believe he has information pertaining to the disappearance of Irene, but he has elected not to provide that information to law enforcement at this time," Gillette police detective Dan Stroup told CNN.

CNN has made repeated attempts to reach Hightman via phone, text and email, but he has not responded. CNN also left messages for his public defender, Dallas Lamb, but did not hear back.

Hightman has not been charged in Gakwa's disappearance, but is a suspect in financial crimes against her after she went missing. Gillette police arrested him in May and charged him with two felony counts of theft, one felony count of unlawful use of a credit card, and two felony counts of crimes against intellectual property for allegedly changing her banking account password and deleting her email account after she vanished.

Between February and March, Hightman transferred nearly $3,700 from Gakwa's bank account to his own and spent an additional $3,230 on her credit card, court documents allege.

He also changed her banking passwords and deleted her Gmail account, court documents said. All the changes were made from an IP address associated with Hightman after the date he told police Gakwa had moved out, according to the probable cause affidavit.

"This would indicate it was Nathan Hightman accessing Irene's account, removing money and changing the password to deny access to Irene," the affidavit said. "These transactions began on February 25, 2022, and continued through March 2022."

Hightman has pleaded not guilty to all charges and was released on a $10,000 bond. His pretrial conference is scheduled for November.

HER ADOPTED COMMUNITY IS PUSHING FOR ANSWERS

Meanwhile, Gakwa's two brothers and her sister-in-law have been commuting to Gillette from Meridian several weekends a month to organize search parties. Most days, they have no idea where to begin.

They've visited morgues and hospitals. They've checked shelters for unhoused people. They've launched a website, whereisirene.com. They've asked local authorities to check whether she joined the U.S. military -- an idea she briefly entertained.

Some residents of Gillette, a city of 32,000 in northeastern Wyoming, have rallied to find her. Wearing T-shirts that read, "Where's Irene?" they've hosted weekend search parties and canvassed neighbourhoods seeking permission to put up missing person signs. It's not unusual to see images of Gakwa posted in the neighbourhood where she lived with her boyfriend.

"No family should ever have to go to bed at night wondering where their loved one is," said Stacy Koester, who lives in Gillette and has been organizing searches with a group of local women since April.

They've mapped out areas to search and marked off where they've already looked so they don't go over the same place twice, Koester said.

"We promised her father and her brothers that we will never stop searching until we bring her home or they have answers," she added. "That's our goal. We are their family here in Gillette."

Koester and other neighbours also have gathered outside Hightman's home, holding signs and chanting, "Nate, where's Irene?"

Sometimes, her father watches the demonstrations via video from Kenya.

But with every passing day, hope fades a little.

HER PARENTS HAD MIXED FEELINGS ABOUT HER MOVE TO THE U.S.

Born and raised in Kenya, Gakwa emigrated to the United States in May 2019, hoping to launch a career in health care. A petite woman, she stood just over 5 feet tall and weighed about 90 pounds.

At first, her parents resisted their introverted daughter's plans to move to a faraway country. They worried about how she'd adjust -- she was so shy, she barely left her room in their suburban Nairobi home to go outside, her father said.

"We sometimes had to remind her to get out of the house and get some sunlight," her father said. "But we decided since her brothers are there, why not?"

Gakwa settled first in Idaho to be near her brothers, with dreams of attending nursing school and working in a hospital. She lived with the younger of her brothers, Chris Munga, and his wife, Gyoice Abatey, in Meridian.

There, she developed a close bond with her sister-in-law. Both women took a girls' trip to Los Angeles in 2020, and in between shopping, eating out and visits to the beach, Gakwa confided to Abatey that she was dating Hightman. Gakwa spent a lot of time with him on the phone, Abatey said, but did not share many details about their relationship.

Abatey described her sister-in-law as a sweet, fun-loving person who started her mornings with a cup of tea and enjoyed cooking, shopping and watching Nigerian movies.

"She's such a free spirit, so caring, goofy, she just goes with the flow," Abatey said.

Gakwa and Hightman eventually moved in together in Meridian, and she started nursing school at College of Western Idaho. In the summer of 2021, they relocated to Gillette, where she transferred to Gillette Community College.

At times, her father would ask Gakwa if she wanted to return to Kenya.

"She'd tell me, 'Dad, I'm good. I have my own life now,'" Kambo said.

In the months before she vanished, Gakwa returned to Meridian several times to visit her family.

Last Thanksgiving, they gathered at the house of Munga, her brother. There, she and her siblings made their favourite African delicacies, including goat barbecue, jollof rice and ugali, a form of corn meal popular in Kenya.

Gakwa cooked a side of cabbage with lots of tomatoes -- just like their mother used to make while they were growing up. She taught Abatey how to make it for her brother.

They ate and talked late into the night.

That was the last time her siblings saw her in person.

HER BOYFRIEND ALLEGEDLY BOUGHT BOOTS AND A SHOVEL USING HER BANK CARD

The Gillette Police Department said it has executed approximately 24 search warrants in the case, including at Hightman's home and at several banks to track activity on Gakwa's accounts.

During one of the searches, investigators recovered a shovel and boots Hightman bought at a Walmart in late February using Gakwa's Visa card, according to court documents.

In April, Gillette police issued a statement naming Hightman "a person of interest" in the case and saying, "he has not made himself available to detectives looking to resolve questions that exist in the investigation."

The police added, "Irene went missing under suspicious circumstances. ... digital evidence, including location data, is also being analyzed and has provided positive leads."

Stroup, the detective, said the investigation is ongoing.

"In the event probable cause is established, appropriate action will be taken," he said.

HER FAMILY IS STRUGGLING BETWEEN HOPE AND GRIEF

Gakwa's family is still holding out hope that somehow she'll contact them or come back home. The alternative is too hard to bear.

Abatey wishes she'd held Gakwa a little tighter the last time they hugged. Her children ask over and over where their aunt is.

Gakwa's 33rd birthday was in July, and her nephews thought if they threw a party, maybe she'd show up. Instead, they held a Zoom vigil. Her friends and family shed tears and shared memories and photos of her, struggling between using past or present tense.

"Whether we meet in this life or the next, know that you're absolutely loved," one friend said. At the end, they played a video of a beaming Gakwa dancing and singing along to "Drogba (Joanna)," a song by UK artist Afro B.

"My children don't understand why auntie is not calling them, how she just disappeared," Abatey said. "Sometimes I just imagine her walking through the door, and saying, 'Why are you looking for a grown woman like me?' As the days go by and nothing happens, we don't know what to do."

Thousands of miles away, Gakwa's parents pray for her every night. Her mother is too distraught to talk to reporters, but Kambo, her father, said sharing memories of his daughter helps him cope.

He chuckles when he remembers their close relationship.

"She was my only daughter. I spoiled her and she took advantage of that," he said. "She had not introduced Nathan to me -- that's what kills me."

Some days, he's optimistic she'll make it home for Christmas. But most days, not so much.

"I just want to know the truth. I'm still hopeful, but my hope is dwindling. She knows my number," he added.

"The fact that she has not called ..."

His voice trailed off.

Crime / No French Pilot Supplying Weapons To Bandits Arrested In Niger by Darteyyyy(m): 5:54pm On Aug 26, 2022
No French pilot named Juan Remy Quignolot, has been arrested by the Nigerian army in Niger state in connection with arms supplies to the rampaging bandits and terrorists.

The news about the arrest, as being shared on social media platforms is fake.

Contrary to the fake news, Juan Remy Quignolot, a French man of Tunisian heritage was nabbed in May 2021 in Bangui, Central African Republic.

The 56 year-old man was arrested with a cache of sophisticated weapons in his apartment, said to be for Seleka rebels in the country.

Quignolot, who was a mercenary, claims to be a journalist and humanitarian worker.

Anadolu news agency, which reported his arrest wrote:

“The ammunition was found at the home of Juan Remy Quignolot, a former French soldier who has lived in the capital Bangui for several years, according to local news platform Corbeaunews-Centrafrique.

“Police reports say Quignolot once trained fighters of the former Seleka coalition. But now, he presents himself as a consultant journalist in Bangui, according to Eric Didier Tombo, the attorney general of the Bangui Court of Appeal,

“This is a police operation. This is a man who was followed by the police department,” he said adding that the police had requested prosecutors order that Quignolot’s home be searched”.

“From the police sources we have had, it seems that in 2013, he was one of the Seleka supervisors,” Tombo added.

Valery Zakharov, a security adviser to President Faustin-Archange Touadera, tweeted: “A foreign citizen was detained in Bangui today [Monday] with a huge amount of arms and ammunition. An investigation is underway and the circumstances need to be clarified.”

The Seleka coalition was an alliance of rebel militia groups that seized power in the Central African Republic in 2013. After its official dissolution in September 2013, the remaining rebel groups came to be known as ex-Seleka.

Seleka leader Michel Djotodia became the nation’s president from March 2013 until his resignation in January 2014.

On 9 June, 2021, the CAR’s Attorney General Eric Didier Tambo said Quignolot had been charged with espionage, illegal possession of military and hunting weapons, criminal association, harming domestic state security and conspiracy.

He made no reference to any country or organisation for whom Quignolot allegedly worked, but said any trial would take place within six months.

Crime / Tracking Stolen Cars: How Canadian Stolen Cars End Up In Lagos (Video) by Darteyyyy(m): 7:58am On Mar 30, 2022

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gshyozP-GY8

Cars stolen from Ontario and Quebec are openly being advertised and sold in West African countries, including Nigeria and Ghana, according to a Marketplace investigation, which also found thieves are targeting vehicles with push-to-start ignitions.

Stolen vehicles are being shipped overseas by thieves so audacious, they leave behind takeout containers, identifiable bumper stickers and even licence plates.

Experts say that car companies prioritizing convenience over security with those push-to-start ignitions allow thieves to quickly and easily steal vehicles to ship overseas, where demand for Canadian cars is high because of their reliability and the availability of parts, and the consequences for thieves are low.

"It's low risk, high reward," said Det. Greg O'Connor of the Peel police auto crime unit, who told Marketplace this type of car theft has a low overhead cost and takes little time. Cars can be loaded onto shipping containers and be en route within hours, he said.

Police in Peel Region, west of Toronto, say that 80 to 85 per cent of stolen vehicles are tied to organized crime and destined to be shipped overseas, many to West Africa.

Other stolen vehicles can be given a new, fake vehicle identification number (VIN) and resold within Canada, or used to transfer drugs, guns or for human trafficking.

"This isn't a victimless crime," said O'Connor.

Marketplace was able to find stolen Canadian vehicles in Ghana and Nigeria. On the website Jiji, an online marketplace similar to Kijiji, vehicles that are foreign-owned are heavily advertised, and the cars can sell for nearly double the cost they would go for in Canada. A 2018 Lexus RX 350 was listed for sale for 28,000,000 Naira, or about $85,000 Cdn. That same vehicle with similar mileage has a market price of around $48,000 on Autotrader.ca.

Some sellers don't even remove Ontario licence plates or Canadian dealership stickers. One image from Ghana in 2017 shows cars with Ontario licence plates advertised along the main road. In February, researchers were able to find a 2018 Lexus RX 350 on a used car lot in Lagos, Nigeria. The vehicle had undergone a safety inspection in Niagara Region, in southern Ontario, in August 2021. CBC cannot confirm when it was stolen.

How it's done

You've likely heard of the "relay attack," in which a device is used to capture the signal of a car key fob that is inside a house and then amplified to open car doors. But experts say there's a cheaper — and easier — solution thieves are turning to: lock picks. These tools are available for under $60 on online marketplaces.

Once inside the car, thieves typically plug a key programmer — available for under $1,000 online — into the car's On-Board Diagnostics (OBD) port, usually located under the steering wheel where mechanics can plug in a diagnostic tool to the car's computer. Using this port, thieves can program a blank key fob to match the vehicle. It can be done on nearly any vehicle with a push-to-start ignition. Vehicles with physical keys require a separate tool to clone the key.

It's an issue locksmith and founder of Hamilton's Auto Key Pro Yaser Jafar says needs more regulation.

"Anyone can buy these tools and do whatever they want," he told Marketplace. "When it's in the wrong hands, and if they have a little experience, or if they learn it, very quickly they can easily steal any car that they want."

More safeguards, such as a regulating body for locksmiths or a registration process to purchase tools, can prevent locksmith tools from getting into the wrong hands and would help curb theft, Jafar said.

Once the vehicle is stolen and left in a "cool down" spot to ensure it isn't being tracked, cars are typically driven to Montreal or Halifax, placed in shipping containers and shipped overseas. This can happen in as little as 24 hours, say police.

Honda's CR-V, Toyota's Highlander, Lexus's RX and Ford's F-150 are among some of the most popular models of cars stolen in Canada. O'Connor says it can take as little as two to 13 minutes to steal these vehicles.

The Insurance Bureau of Canada's list of top stolen cars includes the CR-V and F-150, but Marketplace was able to look at car theft data in Ontario and adjust theft rates for number of cars insured. Vehicles on this list include mostly luxury vehicles, including Lexus and Range Rover models.

Surprisingly, data obtained by Marketplace shows that electric vehicles are rarely stolen, and only one Tesla has ever been reported stolen in Ontario. Experts chalk this up to minimal infrastructure — and demand — for electric vehicles overseas, and enhanced security features like pass codes and 360 cameras.

In January, Peel police announced a multi-jurisdictional investigation — Project High Five — that resulted in 321 criminal charges and recovered more than 200 stolen vehicles. Some cars even had takeout containers and masks still in them when they were seized.

But Project High Five wasn't the solution to car theft. Just days after the arrests were made, Bart Evans had his 2018 Ford F-150 stolen from Sherway Gardens, a shopping mall in suburban Toronto, in the middle of the afternoon. It hasn't been recovered.

Now Evans is shopping for a replacement F-150. "My wife asked me, 'Do they still make The Club?' I said, 'Yes they do!' I'll be sticking that on (my new truck)."

'Manufacturers could certainly step up'
Marketplace heard from many victims of car theft who appeared to be doing everything right — storing keys in signal-blocking pouches or containers to prevent relay attacks, having security cameras on their driveways, even using a security club to lock their steering wheel and prevent the car from being able to turn. But police warn that thieves are quick to catch up to these methods and work around them.

"It shouldn't be this easy," said O'Connor. "The manufacturers could certainly step up, but with these vehicles being stolen they also sell more vehicles, and when vehicles need to be repaired they're selling more parts."

Marketplace asked manufacturers of some of the most stolen cars what was being done to prevent theft. All declined on-camera interviews, but in written statements all agreed that car theft is an issue that affects all brands.

Toyota, which owns Lexus, wrote that its vehicles comply with all Canadian regulations and that it is continually "developing and deploying new or improved technical features into new models to further strengthen their security."

Honda wrote that its newer vehicles include keys with an electronic code that makes it "extremely difficult to duplicate," and owners can connect with some vehicles through their smartphones.

Land Rover said it was the first manufacturer to introduce "UItra Wide Band technology" to thwart relay attacks, and said U.K. industry security experts gave Land Rover vehicles a "superior" security rating.

Ford said there is "no unique risk" identified for its F-150 vehicles, and suggested parking in secure, lit areas, and making sure vehicles are locked when unattended.

Meanwhile, some manufacturers are looking to implement stronger security measures such as biometrics or two-factor authentication to help curb car theft. Vehicle security companies already have tools that can be added aftermarket at the expense of the consumer, such as a lock for a car's OBD port, extra immobilizers or a personalized code drivers have to enter before the engine will start.

Experts such as Jafar and O'Connor suggest layering security measures is the best way to protect vehicles from being stolen. They say parking vehicles in garages, blocking in vehicles with less desirable cars and looking into aftermarket solutions are all ways that thieves can be thwarted until manufacturers strengthen the security in their vehicles.

"We can't keep up with the way it's going," said O'Connor. "Resources are all over the place. This comes [down] to layers of protection for the vehicle to ensure your vehicle doesn't become targeted."

Celebrities / Did Tonto Dikeh Really Buy A Plot Of Land In Scotland? Yes, But... by Darteyyyy(m): 3:05pm On Feb 18, 2022
Did Tonto Dikeh really buy a plot of land in Scotland? Yes, but its only for Conservation Purposes in Scotland.

- For just $46 you can buy 1-square-foot of land in Scotland and become a lord or a lady.

- Part of the package you get when you buy a plot is a smartphone app that will let you brag to your friends about your lordship.

How?

Highland Titles Nature Reserve has offered the acknowledgement of nobility as a fundraiser to create natural reserves in Scotland. Highland Titles was started in 2006 by Dr Peter Bevis and his daughter, Laura when they began selling plots from the family’s land to fund the planting of additional trees. They wanted to revive an area that had been used for farming and forestry for centuries.

How Much?!?

For just $46 you can buy 1-square-foot of land in Scotland and become a lord or a lady. We’re still not sure if money can really buy you class but you can purchase the illusion.

Pick How Much Space You Want

Highland Titles offers four packages including the 1-square-foot plot. You can purchase 10-square-feet for $77 or 100-square-feet for $185 or 1,000-square-feet for $770 and call yourself Laird, Lord or Lady of Glencoe.

What can I do with the Land?

"Our customers obtain a “personal right” to their land. This is essentially a contract where we pass our rights to the land over to you. So you can visit your plot, call it your own and essentially do what you please with the land within the normal confines of law (we do also retain rights to prevent the land from being used for hunting and shooting).

Further you can sell or pass on the contract as you can with any property. So the GIFT can be passed down the generations, not just once but forever.

Is the Land yours?

Please note however that the Land Registration etc. (SCOTLAND) ACT 2012 DOES NOT ALLOW SOUVENIR PLOTS OF LAND TO BE OFFICIALLY REGISTERED SO TECHNICALLY HIGHLAND TITLES LIMITED HAS TO REMAIN AS THE REGISTERED OWNER OF THE LAND ON YOUR BEHALF.

Highland Titles will also manage (at no cost to you) the land as a nature reserve on an ongoing basis.

Can I build on it?

This, combined with the fact that Highland Titles Ltd is owned by The Highland Titles Charitable Trust for Scotland (a charity registered in Guernsey, number CH444), ENSURES THAT THE LAND CAN ONLY EVER BE USED FOR THE PURPOSES OF CONSERVATION.

Health / How MEN Cause Vaginal Odor And Bacteria In WOMEN by Darteyyyy(m): 6:48pm On Feb 13, 2022
Here's A VERY IMPORTANT READ from a Health and wellness brand. YES, men can carry bacteria! And a V-Steamed Vagina is a very sensitive vagina that can easily detect a bacteria-infected man.

Here are some reasons why men can cause Vaginal odours and bacteria.

1. Too much sperm inside a woman can cause bacteria, so men, pull out sometimes.

2. When your balls are itching, that's YEAST! If you want your woman to ride that dick, then you need to have your hair shaved. Your hair carries and holds sweat from your balls.

3. Not wearing the proper boxer size (or tight boxer) can cause men's private areas to sweat and chafe. Bacteria will form and multiply because of the heat and tightness of the boxers.

4. Stop messing with multiple women! Mixing fluids throw off a woman's PH balance of her vagina.

“A healthy level of vaginal pH for a woman in her reproductive years is 4.0 to 4.5 acidic, and can be higher than 4.5 in women after menopause,”

5. Most men don't go for regular checkups with their doctors! A man can have Trichomoniasis (Parasite STI) and don't have any symptoms. A woman can't get Trich without a man.

6. Make sure he washes his hands before he touches your vagina

7. Some men don't bathe every day! Ain't been to the dentist in years, bacteria in their mouth and you still want him to give you head?

8. Dirty beards, razor bumps in beards, but you still want him to give you head?

Both men and women can be at fault.

Make sure your man is a clean man before you let him anywhere close to your vagina.

And always visit your doctor frequently or if you feel anything weird or funny going on down there.

Share with your friends and SAVE A VAGINA TODAY.

Crime / What Makes The Idi-ape Robbery In Ibadan Very Saddening? Read On. by Darteyyyy(m): 9:03pm On Feb 10, 2022
1.
Oyo state police command (Testing Ground) is like 500meter from where the sad incident happened. The Oyo state government house and secretariat is less than 1.5km & 2.5km away from the scene.

2.
That the Nigerian Army Officers Mess is just behind Mary Hill Convent school speaks alot about how prepared and daring they are. That's a slap on the security architecture of Ibadan. If an area within that coordinate can be attacked, what happens to hinterlands?

3.
Testing ground Police Station quickly locked up their gate entrance. After the robbers had gone, they came out with their protruding bellies and medieval guns taking the walk of shame towards the crime scene.

4.
This isn't the first time a robbery would be conducted in that same area. There was a much more brutal one that happened about a decade ago where they raided a series of banks at Idi Ape, you would think the security architect would be better now.

5.
Testing Ground is not up to 500m to that venue. Also, the traffic around that side shouldn’t have made it easy for those miscreants to getaway. It’s really sad and pathetic.

I hope Ibadan doesn't go back to the era of daily bank and bullion van robberies, this was just as pathetic as it gets.

Crime / Facebook (meta) Sues 2 Nigerians Behind Facebook, Instagram Phishing by Darteyyyy(m): 4:29pm On Feb 09, 2022
Meta (formerly known as Facebook) has filed a joint lawsuit with Chime, a financial technology and digital banking company, against two Nigerian individuals who allegedly used Instagram and Facebook accounts to impersonate Chime and target its users in phishing attacks.

The two defendants, Arafat Eniola Arowokoko and Arowokoko Afeez Opeyemi, presumably used a network of at least five Facebook accounts and over 800 Instagram accounts to impersonate the fintech company, attempting to take over customers' accounts.

With the help of these accounts, they lured potential targets to Chime-branded phishing websites to harvest Chime credentials (email and password) and hijack the victims' accounts.

One such phishing website is still online at chime62.godaddysites[.]com, asking visitors to enter their phone number, email, Social Security Number, and Chime password.

The end goal of the scheme was to withdraw money out of hijacked Chime accounts without the victims' knowledge.

These phishing websites prompted users to enter their Chime usernames and passwords to compromise users' Chime member accounts and withdraw funds.

"Since June 2020, Meta has taken multiple enforcement actions against Defendants for violating its Terms, including as recently as October 22, 2021," according to the joint complaint Meta and Chime filed in the US District Court for the Northern District of California.

Meta disabled Facebook and Instagram accounts used to impersonate Chine and blocked the phishing websites from its services. On July 9, it also sent cease-and-desist letters notifying the two defendants that their conduct violated the platforms' terms and revoking their Facebook and Instagram access.

"Nonetheless, Defendants continued to create new Chime-impersonating accounts. In total, between June 5, 2020, and October 22, 2021, Meta disabled more than 800 Facebook and Instagram accounts and blocked phishing websites associated with Defendants and their scheme from being accessed on Facebook and Instagram."

This action is part of a broader series of lawsuits filed by Meta against threat actors abusing its platform for malicious purposes and targeting its users.

For instance, Meta filed a lawsuit in December against the operators of over 39,000 phishing sites targeting Facebook, Messenger, Instagram, and WhatsApp users.

The same month, Meta also announced that it disrupted the operations of seven spyware-making companies by blocking their infrastructure on its platform, sending cease and desist letters, and banning their accounts.
