wristbangle:God bless you. I've always wondered when naija ever worked. |
Haba! Does this mean that EVERY Igbo MUST support Biafra actualization? If yes, where is the freedom of choice? Disrupting prayer sessions in a church, and I thought there is freedom of association, to hold and express one's belief without fear and intimidation. I thought Biafra represents freedom for all? This kind of behavior needs to be condemned loudly by all sensible humans who understands what FREEDOM TRULY means. |
tesppidd:God bless you |
Because Obasanjo is a politician, a Nigerian politician. Politicians are never upright, they don't stick to their words. To politicians personal interest comes first. I hope God will forgive Obasanjo, as he has already vowed that God won't forgive him IF he support Atiku. |
Atiku? I don't want to believe this conversation is about the same Atiku Abubakar, former vice President, ex customs boss. Maybe it's another Atiku. |
Throwback:Worst of all is that they are "youths". With kinda youths, with this kinda mind set, there is little to no hope for a better Nigeria. |
ClassicMG:As in?!!! Talk is cheap. I will, I will, I will that's all they keep saying. How ?!!Promises got us where we are today and instead of solutions, we are getting more promises. I don't understand the thinking of Nigerians anymore, especially the youths. |
WhyMoD:In politics talk is cheap. A politician will "promise " just about anything to get into office, especially Nigerian politicians. Can Atiku Abubakar single handedly restructure Nigeria? If yes, then his promise may count for something. But if there are other factors e.g. legislative arm, the constitution, caucus interests etc, then it will be unwise to buy what he says. Buhari made promises too, what is the result? Atiku is making promises, so EVERYONE must support him. When will Nigerians especially the youth grow up? The Yorubas just like the other tribes have the right to choose who they'll vote for in 2019 without apology to anyone. It's their choice. |

You're very intelligent adanny01: |
Evangkatsoulis:Must the best player ALWAYS be a striker? Cannavaro won the world best before, please tell me what role did he play to win, was he an attacker? Any footballer should be qualified to win it IF they did enough to convince the voters for the awards. Football does not revolve around attackers ONLY, to me VERY few of them contributes more than goals to football. You wonder why we don't have the entertainment Jay-Jay Okocha, Ronaldo Delima, Xavi, Ronaldinho etc used to give us anymore? It is because everyone wants to run into the box to "tap in", take penalty kicks, and become the best "footballer". Someone must win the award, Modric has won it. If you ask me 1000 times, it is a well deserved award. |
Chop knuckle bro! KNIGHTBlaed: |
Offisteven:I don't understand people's problem. Ronaldo won the "best forward" award yesterday, obviously in recognition of his goal scoring prowess last season in Europe. Was he the best forward? Yes!!! Was he the best footballer? No!!! I so much love the fact that Modric got the recognition he deserved yesterday. I don't know how many of us can sit down and watch Ronaldo play for 90mins, when he is not scoring goals. I'll rather be punished picking a bag of beans! Ronaldo scored the highest number of goals last season and he got the reward "best forward". Boycotting the awards yesterday says a lot about Ronaldo, he has no respect for anyone else except himself. Coaches, captains and selected media persons voted for their choices in different categories, but because the almighty Ronaldo didn't win, they can all go to hell. Ronaldo and his fans should organize their own award to make him the best player if they feel cheated, UEFA has spoken and that's the final. I hope Mbappe, Griezman, and Modric emerged the final three for Ballon Dor, so we can have a winner from amongst them. |
Who are the handlers of Atiku? They are doing a very very poor job. Atiku ranking keeps dropping and they seem not to realize or are simply ignoring that fact. Few months ago it was all about "Atikulate" but now other defectors have taken his shine. Atiku needs a new team urgently IF he wants to remain relevant in politics in Nigeria. From the look of things 2019 is off the table for Atiku. What is my own sef? ![]() |
We know this, but it is your job to curb the menace. So fix it |
Donald95:I just weak for our people. Na swear dem swear for us? Must it be the same old failures over and over again? We vote them and start lamenting, I just tire. Can you imagine the options we're limiting ourselves to, Buhari, Atiku? |
Dino the politician!!! It is good you know you are part of the government that has failed, and as you rightly said "we ought to be ashamed of ourselves", very apt. We have heard you, we have also seen your main motive of sharing (Versace designer wears). Like they say here, "if you know, you know" ![]() |
Duke would have been ideal in an ideal society. But with the above group of men, there is no hope for a better Nigeria anytime soon. So the question is, "who can beat Buhari?", and not who can make life better for us as Nigerians? |
Alejoc:Very painful, but true. |
These are places where things works. Nations with leaders. Our rulers here see these things when they travel out to these beautiful places, but because of their greed they don't want to replicate same here. Which way Nigeria? |
GavelSlam:Then the government should simply state its accomplishments and move on.There is NO justifiable reason for the needless comparison. Mr Lai can inform us as the minister of information, or is he a minister of comparison? |
GavelSlam:Allow the people do the rating sir, they have eyes they can spot the difference IF there is any. |
Must they always compare? Compare number of roads compare no of accidents, compare no of human casualties under different administrations? Mr Lai governance is about service. Service to the electorates who gave their mandate to your principal. Allow the people to spot the difference, except the difference is so massive that it can't be seen except it is pointed out. Politicians... ![]() |
After the evacuation, what next? What are the measures to prevent/reduce future occurrence? Most of the trucks on Nigerian roads are disasters waiting to happen. Most are old and badly maintained. I know a truck owner who encouraged her truck driver to manage the truck on trips from Lagos to the east despite being fully aware that the truck brakes are bad. Many truck drivers are not licenced, they drink and drive, some even give their trucks to their motorboys to drive while they rest. The law enforcement agents are culpable as well. You see them at different depots collecting money from truck drivers instead of carrying out their duties of ensuring the trucks are safe to run on the roads. The various unions too at these depots don't ensure that trucks that are allowed to load petroleum products are safe, because they own most of the trucks on the roads. If the government tries to enact/enforce laws the unions will threaten to embark on strike, hence government and their agencies tries to avoid confrontations with the truck drivers and owners. Government should fix the rails so many of these trucks will have no reasons to be on the roads. Allow for modular refineries to be built wherever it is possible, so tankers don't have to converge in large numbers in Lagos for loading. Road safety officers instead of looking for gratification should do their jobs, if a truck is bad, it should not load or be allowed to move about on our roads. Movement restrictions should be enforced as well. These are few of the simple steps that a government/society that is concerned about the safety of lives and properties will take to prevent/limit future occurrences, instead of waiting to send condolences to future victims of avoidable disasters. |
