Seomarts.com:Where are all the "SEO Experts" that keep advertising and disturbing us here na? And it seems my oga at the top yawa-ti-de is busy. Anyway, somehow your meta description is not visible and cannot been seen. Also, your meta keywords are not just it. They wont take you anywhere "Affordable SEO Services from the planets largest SEO Marketplace, You can also buy contents and find web solutions including internet marketing solutions with Seomarts" etc. They are highly irrelevant. I think that 3 to 10 keywords relevant to your page content (most important words you see on the page) are enough. Then i think your site has a slow loading speed and from my preview there are too many CSS files. You have good internal linking but way too many and also you lack linkbacks (which is more effective). And finally i realized that your pages does not have meta description which i highly recommend. Every webpage in your website should have meta description (made up of keywords lifted from the page contents). Overall, these and other small improvement should be done to your website thereafter the bulk of the work should be focused on building good linkbacks. Like i said SEO job isnt easy and not a day's job: minimum of 3 months or more and its expensive. If you need me to do the job for you send me an email of your budget to nwaka@myprova.com and i will see what can be done to suite your budget. |

Seomarts.com:you are not based in Nigeria? |
Wow, minor details i didnt notice. GraphicsPlus: There are few things you should note. On the home page, the big banner has button that says 'Book Now' but it's not clickable. That is a bad user experience because a user will want to click it since it's a call to action button.fixed. GraphicsPlus: The facebook plugin you used is normally used for blogging or news websites not a business or corporate website. Again, i dont see why the pages should have the 7 social media icons asking a user to 'share and enjoy'. Share and enjoy what? Your business website page or a blog post?fixed GraphicsPlus: When a user is on other pages, the drop down menu doesnt show again. On the web hosting page under the two plans table, why use red color to write about what your business is set to offer as if you are giving a user a warning?fixed GraphicsPlus: Why will a user have to click on the 'get quote' before he sees the team page, which is even encrypted with a word 'outsource'. About the team should be part of a drop down menu of About us link.fixed. Thanks for your insight. Will work on the rest when i have some free time again. I cant believe i missed those details however small they were. ![]() |
I just did some adjustments again, you can check it now. |
Having some free time, i decided to re-work on my business website. I did some few customizations so it looks a bit different even if its a wordpress site (i just have a thing for wordpress). Although its still being worked on, you can tell me what you think... ![]() www.myprova.com |
you stumbled on them or they are yours? |
still confused. jidez007: am on a web project(using wordpress). i dont want some posts to show meta info eg.date, author info etc. Normally pages should do it, but due to d way i want d permarlink to b structured (example.com/%category%/%postname%) nd i also want each posts to show all items in the same category by the side bar. pages cant accomplish this because it cant be categorised. The bolded above....is that what you are trying to achieve? Does the theme you are using support custom menu? GO TO Admin > Appearance > Menus See if you have a message like: Your theme supports custom menus. If it does then you need to create a menu and assign this to to a location. 1. New Menu, give it a simple name 2. Add a menu item type custom url, call this Home and add your websites URL 3. You can add categories, posts or pages to the menu, drag them to the right to indent (dropdown levels) them. 4. Save the menu Now, your categories on your sidebar will be a reflection of your posts. I hope i didnt miss the actual question. ![]() As regards the sticky option, i think this documentation should give you a heads up; http://codex.wordpress.org/Sticky_Posts Cheers. |
You have to do an SEO audit on your website. @Yawa-ti-de is good for it....just pay him well and you wont believe your eyes ![]() |

I dont know why most webhosting companies brand cpanel accounts with their company details and contact information. I understand that its a form of marketing strategy to always pass your company details and contact info where necessary. But the truth is that it affects business for most web developers. Come to think of it, people who actually buy hosting packages are not your everyday individuals but people who actually set up websites for various clients. Sometimes we make money from this web hosting plans and after the website has been set up, the cpanel details are handed over to the clients (mostly upon request) and when they log in, what do they see? The hosting company details and contact information. The curious ones would then decide to give them a call wondering why another company name and contact details is showing in their cpanel account instead of yours whom they gave the contract. Now, you as the contractor starts explaining. Though some of them may not understand, while a whole lot of them will think you took the job and gave it to another company which rings a bell of "incompetence" to them. Now, the most embarrassing part of it is when you give your client quotation with webhosting amounting to N15k and when the see the contact details of the hosting company and contact them or visit their website only to discover the most expensive shared hosting plan is N5k. (A friend of mine had similar experience which was really embarrassing). I think most web hosting companies should try to limit their "reachout" to potential customers via branding cpanel accounts. It means you are trying to act the unsolicited third party which is really bad for business from the perspective of the web developer. My views. |

Recently i have seen alot of people create online radio website and i keep thinking why delving into that? I know its a very good and lucrative business but the question is: are we ready for it in Nigeria? Its expensive to set up (from N90k/year) for the least server subscription and service. And we the populace are not interested in it cos we dont have that MB to spare. A normal radio voice is 20Kb/s but if you want to have better quality the rate goes higher even up to 183Kb/s which means; 1 hour = 3600 sec 3600 x 20 = 72000 Kb 72000 / 1024 = 70.31 Mb You successfully consume over 70.31Mb of data per hour for listening to online radios. So the question is why are Nigerians so much in a hurry to set up an online radio? ![]() |
