@OP i was just going through the thread and i noticed that you are based in Warri (if am not mistaken). You see, the problem is we as private business owners are still yet to realize that running a successful business in collaboration with banks can give real strain because no matter how big you think your business is, to them you are not up to the class of businessmen they do business with. Why? Your business is not worth 500million and above, or dont have huge landed properties or your business dont cough out over 2 million daily.

My advice is this, try getting a business account with established micro finance banks...there are credible ones like coastline, eagleflight, wetland, etc. and these banks are really underestimated. Despite having accounts with GTBank, Firstbank and Ecobank, when i need financial help i go to coastline MFB. 2.7million loan will be made available to you in 5 working days if you had approached one of these MF banks. I know the owner of Coastline MFB and there was a time she told me that there is over 100million lying dormant and waiting for young businessmen like us to borrow and invest. I know lots of people who make use of them for business purposes.

Lawsuit means spending more money. My advice, count your losses and go to a reputable MFB who will appreciate a customer like you. You will thank me for this advice. Cheers.

This is really a funny thread. A case of a preacher of perfectionism becoming crucified for imperfection. At one point in time, we are all guilty of copyright infringement and no body is perfect. Anyway, i hope the accused would understand that you cant compel people to become perfect "like you" whereas you also commit same crimes you preach against.

Since you have gotten your money back (like you said) you can as well pull down the site to regain your reputation..(not the perfectionist reputation but the responsive and exceptional analytic mind on website criticism, which you have no rival) and let all these arguments end. You can consider the project closed earlier than expected since you made no loss nor gain and move on to a new less controversial project which would not speak of copyright infringement.

@Others (honorable judges), you have made your point known and i guess from now, G+ would thread softly on using his hammer of corrections and preachings. Why dont you guys allow him fix this and lets all move on, dont forget he is our Mr Responsive. If anything can count for his worthy contributions here, then that should count. You dont hang a good driver for a mistake of forgetting to change the engine oil when due. I rest my case.

Email processing......hmmm. Please expanciate. What really is the job description. How do you process the emails. Cos i believe it all boils down to affiliate marketing which to some people is cool. From my experience, busy people can pay you to help attend to their emails and pay you per hour worked. But they need to trust you first and thats where being a Nigerian makes it difficult. Jobs like that are found on odesk. But i still need more explanations from you. What is the job really about?

With a flair for computers and always seeking to learn new things, i am beginning to develop interest in autocad drawings and wish to render services drawing building plans. The questions are;

1. I am not an architect by profession. Will that in anyway affect the business if i successfully learn Autocad drawings?

2. What is the possibility of learning it hassle free since am relatively new to that domain?

3. What is the market prospect for someone vastly skilled in drawing professional building plans using autocad?

What you have delved into is nice. However like stated earlier you need to attach yourself to someone already in the business. In the world of business the starting point is always rough and if you dont have patience and passion you may give up. Attending the training or school isnt enough, you need to actually become pratical...practice in a live business environment.

There is something called "operations" in business. At the beginning if you dont know how to operate, you may fail and it usually takes longer time with patience for a new business to stand. For example, you should learn how to bill your clients, source for clients, source for additional income in your business to keep it going until the big jobs comes, also learn how to give discounts that wont affect you, learn how to manage overhead costs, learn how to do promotions. Trust me, the only place you can learn all these is in a live business environment. They wont teach you all that in the training program or school.

So, best advice is look for a similar business environment and attach yourself or you can call it industrial attachment (lol). Then you learn how to run a business before you finally kick start your own. Meanwhile, you can be doing personal business on the side...then when you have good customer base and sure of constant referrals, then you can officially rent your own shop. Dont rush.

In my 3 years career as a web developer, i have been operating from home and with a team. Now i practically do business on referrals and i have consistent customer base so i have began setting up my personal office where i will employ staff. Its a process, you dont just rush into business. Learn the craft, learn the operations and the lunch your brand.
