Since you say you will be organizing it in different locations or cities, i think there should be a registration form so applicants can specify the location that best works for them and also the topics they would really love to get lectures on. I hope Delta is part of the locations.

At the beginning of this thread some months ago, i complained about an error on transaction using simplepay platform. After much promises, they decided to rectify the problem. I am so surprised that the problem still persists. Some people suggested number portability and some others says its not possible. I even remembered telling the technical guy that, why not create a new confirmation page before executing transactions just to double confirm so even if you made a mistake earlier, you can still "go back" and make the needed changes before proceeding to making the final transaction. They promised they will work on it, but no results so far.

Over 2 months ago, i made same mistake again. Wanted to purchase glo card and mistakenly clicked on the MTN logo, imputed my glo number and click "ok" and the transaction went through and my money was deducted. How can you deduct my money selling mtn to me when the number i put is a glo number? I called them and was told the transaction would be reversed and i would get a refund. Its two months now and when ever i call..."we are working on it" is the usual comment....This morning, i called and was patched through to the technical guy who is now telling me to look for the transaction ID for him which means they were doing nothing about it since!!.

Now its either the person who has been picking my calls has not relayed the issue to the technical dept or the technical dept dont just care and is ineffective. They have refused me to speak with their boss. You can imagine how angry i am.

I am not boasting but i have been using their services consistently for the past 11 months and i know how much transactions i have done with them on just purchase of recharge cards (including phone calls and internet subscriptions). But if they are really saying they cant handle such issues then what is the point using them? IF a customer makes such a mistake what you are supposed to see is an error page OR better still another page for double confirmation before executing that transaction. Why cant this simple correction be effected after over 7 months of complains?

I have never been pissed like this in a while. angry

You can only beat your chest in your own grounds. Joomla is good and so is wordpress. They both have their tricks and methods. You can spring out any good looking website with Joomla and same with wordpress. It basically depends on where your interest lies. Personally, i will stick with wordpress and depending on the complexity of the site i would charge a minimum of 50k.

This is my problem;

I have over 5 email accounts (personal & business) and have contacts in these accounts up to 8,000 put together. Now i want to send them emails with marketing and promotional stuff but i cant do it once cos of the frigging daily limits imposed by these service providers. I have saved the email contacts as a .csv file and now what i need to know is how do i go about send them emails. I only want to send emails to people on my contact list as they are familiar with me and know who i am so there is that 95% chance they would read the email i send them.

I have tried severally to work my way around gmail but no head way yet....i think some lady, Efe Imeren does it perfectly buh she does not pick calls nor reply emails. So Suggestions please undecided

If you did not see the deposit, then it means its an interswitch error. They have not gotten your deposit and if that be the case there will be a reverse transaction (refund) to your account soonest.

Also, for quicker results you can get option 3 to teach you how to use wordpress and joomla, that way you can update the site easily. You can learn that quickly while you take your time to develop yourself on html, CSS, php, etc via online tutorials and other resources.

When it comes to hosting your websites even if its a Nigerian company or not, one has to be very careful. If you dont have a good host, your business image online can plummet. Sometimes i spend money to test these hosts to see how far they would go to give me a good service and alot of times i get crap services from them. I have had an experience with the same ihostafrica and they are really full of crap (no offense). Maybe they were happy to "steal" my money from me but the truth is they have lost alot more. Next time, go for trudigits, or whogohost (my recommendations). What i would suggest you do is try get a refund which might be difficult since they are not picking your calls and then buy a new domain name (.net or .biz) from godaddy or namecheap. it might be annoying but thats the only choice you've got. Then look for a Nigerian host and host the domain name. That way you have full control of your domain name meaning you can change hosts whenever you like. grin

The intriguing part is countries like Russia, USA, China, Britain, Germany, Brazil, Spain, India, France, Turkey top the Cybercrime list yet Paypal won't discontinue its service(s) in such countries. We are only being unnecessarily victimised.

fxck paypal...its painful we cant make use of it but, what choice do we have? They say if you cant beat them, join them, if you cant join them, then create your own. grin

Lets hope coys like voguepay or simplepay4u or the likes get good funding to control the African market and if that can be achieved, then paypal would have some competition.

I tried re-editing my account preference (data) on my voguepay account and realized that after editing, the "save changes" button doesn't work. I have double-checked to see if i filled a field wrongly but alas its still the same. When i click on the button, it just wont respond. I have raised the issue with their customer service and though i appreciate their prompt response, but they keep insisting i filled the fields wrongly. Please if you use voguepay, i would appreciate if you go to the account preference menu and try editing something then try to save changes and tell if it works. Cos i doubt if its my computer that's faulty or am using the wrong browser or perhaps i dont know how to fill a simple form anymore.

Help here will be appreciated. Thanks. undecided
