ILIDEFI: I asked you to list what the other presidents achieved and I'm still waiting for your answers. The level of shameless dishonesty in ur post is amazing. Never hav I read a more delusional piece of crap coming frm d Ngozi Iweala school of thought which believes dat national developments ar done on paper. NOI couldn't hav tried to sell dat crap better. Let me giv u just a scratch of d achievements of our past leaders. Gowon fought & ended a civil war without ANY external borrowing & restored peace to a nation dat was in crisis. He invested massively on infrastructure like d national stadium, Festac Village, National arts theater, Lagos Badagry expressway, Eko bridge, rebuilt the tafawa Balewa square etc & built industries. Obasanjo - successfully transited d nation frm military dictatorship to civilian democracy. Built automobile plants - Volkswagen - Lagos, Peugeot - kaduna, fiat - kano, Leyland - Ibadan, Mercedes Benz - Enugu, Steyr - Bauchi. Steel rolling mills at Ajaokuta & Aladja Power Plants - Jebba, Shiroro & laid foundation of Egbin power plants Investment in agriculture epitomised by operation feed the nation Paid off all external debts built infrastructure like d Abuja national stadium Deregulation of communications sector Built institutions to fight corruption - EFCC, ICPC Muhammadu Buhari - rescued d economy frm total collapse in d worst economic recession in its history. rejected d IMF loan wit its slavish conditionalities & paid a huge part of d external debt, d rest of which OBJ paid off not too long ago. He restored law & order thru d War Against Indiscipline & clamped down on corruption like no other regime. He refused to devalue d naira & inflationary rate under him was between 3-5% & exchange rate was $1 to 1 naira. Since u ar such a believer in what GEJ is doing, it won't be out of place to say a little prayer 4 u - I pray dat God shall run ur life d way Jonathan is running Nigeria. dat fiction u posted as achievements will not fool even a toddler. No matter how u spin it, GEJ has failed in every ramification. d truth is dat Nigeria is at d crossroads today because we hav a leader who is clearly overwhelmed & doesn't know what to do. d presidency of nigeria is complex & out of d league of dis individual. He lacks d wisdom, tact, decisiveness, compassion, guts & political sagacity to run a country as intricate as nigeria. Bottom line - U can't giv what u don't hav. |
ILIDEFI: Please, try to be fair on Jonathan. He may appear to be the weakest president, but he is not the most corrupt. That description is grossly unfair on him.Cut d crap. Guy I live in nigeria. Those achievements u listed exist only in ur imagination. ALL nigerians wish dat those things u listed were not fancy dreams but reality. Those were our hopes in 2011 when we cast aside our differences & gave him a resounding victory. Unfortunately, he squandered our goodwill on d alter of rabid corruption & became a president of d privileged few. d gap between d rich & poor has never been wider. d rich getting rich & d poor getting poor. He has issues. All leaders hav challenges. Leadership is about solving problems & not about making excuses. |
ILIDEFI: Maybe u'r a Catholic or Pentecostal, but believe me Anglican church is facing the challenges of the end time like every other church. Catholics are not better as an average Catholic is an idolater. Many Catholic priests today sleep with Revd sisters while the rest are gays. These things are not hidden. As for Pentecostals, let me not even go there, cos there is not need. We should all be praying for the body of Christ. However, giving out dis award is probably a record by a xtian churh to d weakest, most corrupt leader in Nigerian history |
tit: Christ said he came for the rejected in society: the theives, the prostitutes, the drunkards, the gay.Ar u always dis clueless?. Honestly, if u were any slower u would be going backward. In ur warped thinking Christ would ordain practicing & unrepentant homosexuals as bishops abi?. |
niggereyez: #simplyignored#Never attribute to malice that which can be adequately explained by stupidity. |
niggereyez: 100+ more likes...Don't get me wrong. I hav nothing against u lesbians & gays. I just don't think dat ordaining homosexuals as bishops is biblical. d hypocrisy & "eyes wide shut" policy of d anglican church on sexuality & corruption as epitomised in dis case is what I'm against. |
dking123: Yes it is necessay to praise a good leader.Yeah, leader in corruption |
symbian03: Shut up, sir. Thank you as you oblige.Don't get it twisted symbian03. It's not about u gays, but about d anglicans, a church dat has lost its way. |
DAMN! It would hav been an outrage but then again it's d anglicans, a failed church dat has departed frm d teachings of Jesus & ordain homosexuals as bishops. A badge of honour frm dis clowns is irrelevant 4 sure. |

DAMN! It would hav been an outrage but then again it's d anglicans, a failed church dat has departed frm d teachings of Jesus & where homosexuals ar ordained as bishops. A badge of honour frm dis clowns is irrelevant 4 sure. |
arresa: Spot d difference |
Thanx to d rapaciously greedy weasel, Oritsejagajaga, d integerity of CAN is in shambles. How did dis fraud who keeps embarrassing Xtians get to d exalted position of CAN president?. CAN needs to save its image by relieving dis scam artist frm d post of CAN president |
ayindejimmy: i knw many common Njas dat will be willing to contribute to the candidacy of Buhari. He is goin there on OUR rescue and we wnt let fund stand on his way. An online sponsorship campiagn can be lunched 4 him. If Gej can av rich ppl donatin 2 him we can do same 4 Buhari. Afteral, its one man, one voteWe ar wit GMB on dis national mission. All our hands ar on deck to rescue d ship of state dat is drifting aimlessly & in danger of sinking in d evil sea of corruption under dis most corrupt, clueless & effeminate leader in our history. There's too much at stake. Failure is not an option. We can't go on like dis. |
chimerase2: dat is wat we hv been hearing for de past 3 election nwI want GEJ & d noisy band of sycophants to keep thinking dat way. But I tell u, d chips ar down. We know dat d chips ar down & we can't go on like dis. d bullsh*t of i had no shoes or d divisiveness & blackmail of using BH to paint d opposition bad will not work dis time. Just as we cast away ethnic & religious colourations to make GEJ president, a chance which he squandered on d alter of corruption, Buhari will receive our mandate to sanitize our country & halt d rot. Enjoy it while it lasts, 4 d clueless one is on d homestrech of his presidency. |
GMB, no shaking. Nothing will stop u, not even money. We will do whatever it takes to make u president & to realize d true potential of our country. We shall be d foot-soldiers of ur campaign to make Nigeria great again. GMB - tried, tested & proven to be one of Nigeria's greatest leaders of all time. Sai Buhari, carry go jor, nothing do u. |
tit: he did no wipe out the Amir of Gwandu when they imported 100 containers of money during currency exchange time.I hav to ask u some questions in order to understand why ur parents suffered. Were ur parents frontline members of d utterly corrupt & discredited national party of nigeria (NPN) dat looted d country to a recession where even d fed. govt could not pay salaries?. Were ur parents owners of d warehouses where d NPN criminals hoarded foodstuffs & commodities away frm d people & created artificial scarcity which Buhari threw open to alleviate d pains of d suffering masses?. Were they in d drug business?. Were they among d thieving NPN vampires dat partied away conspicuously while nigerians groaned in unimaginable suffering?. I ask dis questions because d thieving politicians enjoyed under d misrule of d NPN but suffered under d corrective regime of Buhari while 4 d masses d case was d reverse. Difficult as dis questions ar, u might need to ask so as to get closure on d reason 4 their suffering. Btw d suitcases were 53 & they belonged to d emir & a family of 20 persons - d Nigerian ambassador to Libya Dr Tahir waziri who arrived d airport d same time as d emir & was coming home to resume appointment as chief of protocol, his 3 wives & 16 children. |
Rexyl: I could only agree that Jonathan failure started when he believed that Nigeria could be governed by soft hand, when he couldn‘t take the enemies within serious and match them might for might before they outsmart him. That is the only thing that made OBJ diff from him. OBJ himself could have been weaker. If it has been a northern president the case could have been different because the President might have been seen as a partner in whatever means.Wit no visible achievement to point to, GEJ can only play d tribal & religious card to try & appeal to our sentiments but it won't work. His being a xtian means nothing to me because xtianity has not had an impact on his style of leadership, neither has being a southerner made him a good leader. We ar looking 4 a leader not a tribal chief. Posterity & generations unborn shall not forgive us if we sacrifice competence 4 mediocrity by voting 4 someone who is clearly incompetent just because he is frm our tribe or religion. Is it d north dat made his administration stink to d high heavens in corruption?. We ar looking 4 someone wit clues & answers not excuses. |
Rexyl: hmmmmHow is it dat u blame d enemies, d north, powerful individuals & everyone else except d man who swore to dat sacred oath but has been superintending over d most corrupt govt in our history. All leaders hav their own tribulations. I'm not a fan of OBJ but we all saw how he was able to neutralize d proponents of political sharia bent on derailing his administration. How is it anybody's fault dat GEJ lacks d wisdom, tact, assertiveness, leadership & political sagacity to neutralize d opposition & spare d nation d pains of his failings. Governing a complex nation like nigeria is not a tea party 4 all comers. GEJ has failed in all aspects of leadership & not only in stemming corruption or in providing security. |
Rexyl: weak and corrupt? hmmm.d man who took dat solemn oath to stem corruption & provide security for nigerians but has failed abysmally is responsible. Leadership is about rising up to d occasion & not about excuses. He has no one but himself to blame 4 his character flaws dat has allowed insecurity & corruption to hold sway under his watch. I agree many people hav to grow up. Remaining in slavery is doing d same things & expecting a different outcome. d president has shown dat he is weak, clueless, overwhelmed & does not know what he's doing. We must break d mental slavery of tribe, ethnicity & religion. We must giv d job to d best man. |
Happywoman: Poor guy! Seems like he is a glutton for punishment. But I still prefer him a trillion times to Atiku.Read some history books. Ask elders. Educate urself on nigerian history & u will know what we know about d General. U will see dat Buhari is a very credible candidate wit an impeccable record of service to d nation. Ask urself why so many years after & inspite of one of d most vicious media attacks on him, knowledgeable people know d worth & quality of d man & still passionately love him & yearn 4 his return?. I agree, having Fashola on d ticket will be a great icing on d cake. |
To d informed, d decision is easy & pretty much settled - a) GMB - tried, tested & proven to be one of d greatest nigerian leaders of all time. b) GEJ - tried, tested & proven to be d weakest, most clueless & corrupt leader in nigerian history. Come 2015, Nigerians shall giv d General a historic mandate to once again save Nigeria frm another weak & corrupt leader. He has done it before & he shall do it again. Sai Buhari. |
Chinom: Truth be said, he would have been a good president. Nigeria would have been a lot different now and very organized if IBB gave Buhari and Idiagbon the chance to reset the mentality of Nigerians. Unfortunately, his era is over. He will not get that opportunity again. Not in the APC and not with GEJ doing well and still running.d chips ar down. nigerians know dat d chips ar down & they can't go on like dis. d bullsh*t of i had no shoes or d divisiveness & blackmail of using BH to paint d opposition bad will not work dis time. Just as we cast away ethnic & religious colourations to make GEJ president, a chance which he squandered on d alter of corruption, Buhari will receive our mandate to sanitize our country & halt d rot. He is a strong & decisive leader. A wise man & a good man who means well 4 d country. We shall be his foot soldiers in d struggle 4 change, going door to door to explain d issues at stake to d electorate. Those who vote 4 GEJ can only do so out of ethnic or religious bias because he has no achievement to point to. They will be d minority. In a free & fair election come 2015, GMB will be president & by a landslide. And truth be said, he will be a damn good president. |
Now, i hold d aces. It won't be long frm now b4 I payback d clueless one & his corrupt friends for his insensitive gift of subsidy removal right after d 2011 vote. I am ready. Sending d clueless one packing is a patriotic & noble task dat must be done. dis is it, d clueless one is on d homestrech of his failed presidency. |
Lusola15: I can vote for APC but I can't vote for BuhariOf course there ar alternatives. This is a country of over 160 million. I respect ur opinion. As 4 me his age will not be a factor in as much as his integrity & desire to serve is intact & better still if he runs wit a younger progressive wit a history of performance in govt like Fashola, I will definitely vote 4 him. However, I respect ur opinion. |
Preciousone4ril: give me one reason why I shld vote for a religious bigot n a dictator to rule a nation dats already high on tension on religious issues...History does not support ur claims. In d last elections d General's running-mate is d activist & revered Xtian leader, Pastor Tunde Bakare. Buhari & Idiagbon's intervention during dat difficult period, though unconstitutional was patriotic & even more necessary than d doctrine of necessity dat ended imminent crises & brought GEJ to power. dat coup dat ridded Nigeria of d NPN, d ancestor of d PDP, which consisted of d worst set of criminals to be found anywhere in d world is probably one of d greatest acts of patriotism by any nigerian, living or dead. d NPN crooks did not get to power thru free & fair elections & would not leave via elections. GMB is a man of integrity who during his brief stint as nigeria's leader reversed d rot of d clueless Shagari years & showed d world dat Nigeria could be really great. |
49cents: The politcal class we have now are of a feather!!!There's a lot of misinformation out there about Buhari's reaction to d 2011 elections. Some even said he vowed to make d country ungovernable. d DSS went thru his during & after campaign speeches & never found it. Numerous threads were opened even right here on nairaland 4 people to come up wit proof - there was none because Buhari never made dat statement. Even if he did which he didn't it would be naive & unfair to interpret it as to mean he would create or support BH. In d heat of elections people say things. OBJ said it would be a do or die. If u research history u will see Pa Awolowo's reaction to Shagari's stolen presidency. Buhari has always condemned BH.There's only one man who swore to protect Nigerians & has failed totally & abysmally. GEJ's govt will go down in history as one of d weakest & most corrupt. The ranking of nigerian govts post civil war - BEST GOVTS : Murtala Muhammed & Buhari/Idiagbon. WORST GOVTS: Shagari & Goodluck Jonathan. B4 u talk of Pat Utomi, pls do more research on him & his role in d defunct VON during shagari's govt, Bank PHB etc u might discover dat all dat glitters is not gold. Buhari once proved himself, should he contest under any platform, I will vote 4 him. |
Lusola15: I can vote for APC but I can't vote BuhariPls there has been so much misinformation about d man Buhari & I think u need to do some research on d General's unique role in Nigerian history. Here ar d facts - PDP's evil ancestor, d National Party of Nigeria (NPN) under weak president Shagari looted d country to bankruptcy to d extent dat no nation would borrow d heavily indebted nigeria any more money. 4 d 1st time in nigerian history d fed govt could not pay salaries. No food, no money. Soap, milk, sugar etc popularly called essential commodities disappeared from d shelves just like in Zimbabwe. d NPN vampires partied away conspicuously while nigerians groaned in unimaginable suffering. d very foundation of d nation was shaken. It was utter chaos. Fortunately 4 nigeria, d patriotic duo of Buhari & Idiagbon came to 9ja's rescue. d warehouses where d NPN criminals hoarded foodstuffs & commodities were thrown open & d nigerian people were given relief. Never in nigerian history has there been a greater show of patriotism. In his short stint as a leader he restored d nigerian economy back, rejected d IMF loan & paid part of d debts owed by d thieving NPN, d rest of which OBJ paid off not too long ago. Buhari is a man of proven integrity, an honourable man & a patriot. |
Corruption is d singular biggest problem facing our country today & there's no greater crusader against corruption than d General. GMB has my vote to save d ship of state frm sinking in d evil sea of corruption. Come 2015, Nigerians shall say good riddance to d most corrupt govt in its history. Sai Buhari. |
dis election shall be a referendum on performance while in govt office. Wit no visible achievement, I can not in good conscience vote 4 GEJ. Just as he once rescued Nigeria frm d hands of d most wicked set of criminals & looters masquerading as politicians of d defunct NPN under Shagari, he shall rescue us frm d weakest, most corrupt ,effeminate, & clueless leader in nigerian history. Contesting under any platform, Buhari has my vote anyday anytime. |
GozieDiora: Nice. I, however, still maintain that nothing justifies walking out in such a gathering. There are better ways of projecting their disagreement other than engaging in some deplorable actions that could fetch nothing less than criticism. Just my opinion. I even see no reason one should be hear debating just cause a couple of money sharers are having some sort of disagreement up there.Thanx. I may not agree but I respect ur opinion. I agree why waste time debating d sharers. |
GozieDiora: I have never been an advocate of PDP leadership. And I also agree that APC's motives could have been pure. But I am strongly of the opinion that the manner in which they pulled it off is irrepressibly egregious. Departing unceremoniously from a socio-political gathering has never been known to be a solution to political conflicts. Their main aim, which I believe was to make it known to the public that the decision did not go down well with them, has been impinged negatively. Acting in such a manner breeds the fear of napoleon leadership amongst the masses. See it this way; if they had gone ahead to commune after the meeting and then publicise afterwards that they wouldn't accept the outcome, would PDP internet warriors have had enough points to propel their argument now? What some of us don't appreciate is that a little mistake on the side of one political party simply waters the ground for the opponent. I repeat, APC might have had a good motive but they pulled it off woefully. Opinionated though.Don't get me wrong, i know dat ur intentions ar truly patriotic. I however believe dat what the APC legislators did was d right thing to do. It would hav been wrong 4 d APC to continue in d chambers like all is well in d face of d misguided decisions of d majority. I think they rightly gave dis matter d kind of utter discontent that is due by walking out. I think they were right. As 4 those clueless clowns, d PDP E-warriors, nothing dat their paymasters do, no matter how outrageous is ever wrong. I don't worry about them neither do i care 4 d APC. |
