PoliticsRe: $9.3m: APC Reps Walk Out During House Debate by datribune: 7:30pm On Sep 23, 2014
Ayed44: the so-called protest should have taken place before d voice vote. The APC members shouldn't have participated in the voice vote in d first place. They should have staged a walk-out before d vote was conducted. This is the same mistake some governors made during the NGF election, when they were trying to walk out after they participated in d voting and lost to Amaechi. U can't participate in an election and walk out because the result does not favor u. APC should grow up and be more responsible.
Participating in d voice vote was d right thing to do. If they lay any claim to patriotism they can not allow d matter to go without any opposition which is what would hav happened if they did not participate. When however they saw d PDP bastardizing democracy thru a classic case of tyranny of d majority by using their majority as an instument of cover-up, oppression & bastardization of democracy they did what any patriot would do by protesting & showing their discontent to dis disgraceful behaviour. It is unfortunate & sad dat d PDP opted to place their selfish, corrupt interest above dat of d nation.
PoliticsRe: $9.3m: APC Reps Walk Out During House Debate by datribune: 6:49pm On Sep 23, 2014
GozieDiora: You see, democracy as we know can never favour everyone. Instead, it tends to conform to the majority principle. Anyone that claims he is an advocate of democracy must accept it in its full nature not just in times when it favours him cause it will never always favour him. It is not just about who is right as regards the proposed debate, APC has exhibited inexcusable disregard for democratic procedures and it goes a long way to give a picture of the type of government they intend to bring on board. You talked about people revolting when decisions are not taken in their favour as if it's an acceptable norm; what would you say if in future, your dear party imposes a law on you regardless of the public stand? Or do you think their decisions will always be in your favour? Why not check their bad tendencies now for your future gain?

On the other hand, it beats my imagination why such a case shouldn't worth thorough debate. I'm not a party oriented person but let's call a spade a spade; in as much as APC played it real bad, I actually agree with their stand in this matter. Our government is becoming more like a gathering of vultures and I'd be fooling myself pledging support for any of the parties. Let's not be fast to forget the old PDP. They are chameleons. APC is not any better. So why would I spend my time spear heading their propaganda online. ..........

I just hope we don't have those paid internet warriors here cause it would be pointless responding to their posts.

Cheers!
d stand of d APC legislators should be commended. They protested dis shameful attempt to cover up a potential crime. In d circumstance dat is what is expected of true patriots. Don't get it twisted. What has taken place here is not democracy but a bastardization of democracy - tyranny of d majority. It is reprehensible & condemnable dat d PDP will place its own corrupt selfish interests above d interest of d nation. d PDP simply used their majority in a morally bankrupt way as an instrument of cover-up, tyranny, oppression & bastardization of democracy.
PoliticsRe: $9.3m: APC Reps Walk Out During House Debate by datribune: 6:09pm On Sep 23, 2014
Ayed44: there is nothing like protest afternoon an election. There was a voice vote on the floor of the house which the APC members participated in and the result of which could have gone either way, but unfortunately it went against APC. What is the essence of participating in voting when u already know that u would not accept the outcome? The other day APC national chairman said that they would form a parallel government in 2015 irrespective of the election results. That is sheer irresponsibility. APC should learn how to accept defeat so that Nigerians can take them serious.
d action of d APC members was d appropriate action. Any patriot will be left wit no other choice but to protest d despicable efforts of d PDP to use their majority to cover up a potential crime. Without a doubt dis can't be d intentions of d framers of our constitution & it is reprehensible & an abuse of majority power.
Every patriot should feel scandalized by dis abuse & tyranny of majority power.

He knows too well that there are muslims in PDP but he still call the muslim leaders to call their boys to order. He sees Jonathan as his son, brother and a Christian at that who should be protected period .

God help us
But is a CAN president being a G.E.Jean right?. Dragging CAN into GEJ's camp can only continue to breed disunity & hurt d image of CAN. Thanx to his reckless partisan support of GEJ 4 his own personal gain, d integrity of CAN is in shambles. CAN is now perceived as being in cahoots wit corrupt politicians. Even b4 d questions of d source of d gift of a private plane hav been answered, more questions hav arisen about his private plane being used to ferry money to buy arms in S.A. goldenval: How many people still remember how Benny Hinn lambasted Oritsejafor on TV,after he gave him $4million to organize crusade,& he squandered it.

If you want to know more about the CAN president,go readup the Bishop Benny Hinn saga.

It is only the Nig Govt that would abandon its own Central Bank, and pay $9.3 million in cash for a foreign "legitimate transaction"!

So asides being a pastor and an owner of a private University, he is also into the business of jet leasing. Soon he'll be producing cements.

This man is way too controversial for a religious leader. The same man that claimed BH targeted only Christians during the Chibok abduction.

Oritsejafor admits ownership of jet FG lays claim to the money. This is where I would love the National assembly to come in.

I thought he acquired Jet for spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ, so he also lease it to make more profit. Building an earthly empire.
GBAM! dat someone so patently fake like Oritsejagajaga can be president of CAN says a lot about how low religion in particular & d country in general has sunk.

Is it his ignominious & dubious role in d pentascope scam thru which d country lost billions of naira?. For d role he played, he was indicted by d house commitee & banned frm holding public office for 50yrs.
Is it his revocation of people's plots of land & allocation of same to himself & family?
Is it d payment of millions to 2 youth corpers whom he employed as consultants?.
In other climes dis crook who brought so much pain to many who lost their buildings in abuja, many who lost their jobs nationwide thru a fraudulent privatization program will be in jail.
d eternal cry of those he dispossessed to make his dream come true shall not make him bcom governor.

I bet you are one of the buhari's zombie still no surprise for me.
d Buhari/Idiagbon regime is to date probably one of d best things dat ever happened to our country. Let me educate u. PDP's evil ancestor, d National Party of Nigeria (NPN) under weak president Shagari looted d country to bankruptcy to d extent dat no nation would borrow d heavily indebted nigeria any more money. 4 d 1st time in nigerian history d fed govt could not pay salaries. No food, no money. Soap, milk, sugar etc popularly called essential commodities disappeared from d shelves just like in Zimbabwe. Multinationals like kingsway, UTC, PZ etc left d country. Daily more people became unemployed. d NPN vampires partied away conspicuously while nigerians groaned in unimaginable suffering. d very foundation of d nation was shaken. It was utter chaos. Fortunately 4 nigeria, d patriotic duo of Buhari & Idiagbon came to 9ja's rescue. d warehouses where d NPN criminals calling themselves politicians hoarded foodstuffs & commodities were thrown open & d nigerian people were given relief. Never in nigerian history has there been a greater show of patriotism. In his short stint as a leader he restored d nigerian economy back, rejected d IMF loan & paid part of d debts owed by d thieving NPN, d rest of which OBJ paid off not too long ago. dis ar d facts. Buhari is an honourable man & a patriot.

Pls try & educate urself on d history of our country & u will realize d quality of d man, GMB & why knowledgeable people wit a sense of history highly revere him. While GEJ's govt will go down in nigerian history as one of d most inept & corrupt govts, d Buhari/Idiagbon regime remains d reference point 4 good governance, discipline & integrity. GMB rescued nigeria frm an economic catastrophe worse than what Greece experienced recently. He saved nigeria frm d abyss it was plunged by greedy looters & criminals of d worst kind masquerading as politicians of d NPN (d evil ancestor of d PDP) & once again made d country solvent while rejecting d IMF loan & its slavish conditionalities. During his short stint as head of state he showed dat if we believe in ourselves & look inwards our country would be great.
The ranking of nigerian govts post civil war -
BEST GOVTS : Murtala Muhammed & Buhari/Idiagbon.
WORST GOVTS: Shagari & Goodluck Jonathan.

I don't care 4 d PDP & APC but I care about d patriot, GMB. if elections ar a referendum on performance while in office, GMB has proved himself & I will vote 4 him any day, any time, any platform.

MAYOWAAK: I am not interested in what the arrested jet was doing in South Africa...

I already know and do not need any confirmation again.

My position, however, is about the ownership of the jet which is Pastor Oritsejafor's.

A statement released this afternoon showed that he is the owner of the jet which has been leased to an organisation for commercial purposes part of which was how it got to South Africa supposedly on a business trip...

That is not my concern also.

My worry now is that the principal justification Pastor Oritsejafor gave for the acquisition of the private jet then( a gift from an undisclosed person) was to aid him in preaching the gospel and reaching out to places that could not be reached via the land..

How come what was intended for private use has suddenly become a money-making machine to the punk-wearing pastor? This is my worry.

What explanation will the Pastor give this time? Perhaps his footsoldiers on the cyberspace can assist us...

Waiting!!

So u see my dear, in dealing wit a multi million dollar terrorist organisation like BH, one has to be extremely careful. Its not as easy as d prof is making it to look like.
Lol at d bolded. Ar u kidding me?. What an irony! Is palling around wit alleged sponsors of terror ur idea of leadership?. GEJ has shown thruout dis BH saga dat he is anything but a leader. d boko boys & their sponsors ar not afraid as they can see dat he lacks d guts, d decisiveness, d tact & political sagacity to bring dis carnage to an end. U can't giv what u don't hav. Leadership of d giant of Africa is definitely out of d league of dis man who is clearly overwhelmed. He is clueless & doesn't know what to do about BH. Abraham2013: Well 4 d record purposes am not PDP or APC, I am not a GEJ supporter, I will vote 4 any candidate dat is far beta dan GEJ cos I want +ve change. having said dat, wen an old man begin to speculate, den u wonder wat his child will do. Wat d prof has said is wat we know and he is only speculating. In as much as I love d fact dat d prof is speaking out, he should do some serious underground investigation so dat wen he speaks, he would sound different 4rm d ordinary nigerian. Who is dis high ranking CBN official? Is he afraid of calling his/her name?
Secondly, IF n only IF ali modu sherif is d sponsor of BH, don't u tink he should be in d best position to giv 1st hand info on how to counter BH? Don't u tink his meeting wit both GEJ and d president of chad will be on getting vital info as both countries and involved in dis BH mess? Wat has stopped d prof 4rm heading to ICJ to prosecute d so-called sponsors of BH?
In conclusion, prof as an elder statesman should speak wit precision and not speculation.
There's nothing speculative about prof's write-up. It is surprising dat u do not see anything wrong in GEJ being seen wit a person who has been cited as a sponsor of terror & is currently being investigated by GEJ's DSS.
I disagree wit d bolded. Infact, I am outraged by ur suggestion. U say if a man is found to actually be a BH sponsor, he should be appeased. dis is wrong. I say he should be arrested. We can't keep fighting terror wit appeasement & kid gloves.
Rather than blame a man who swore to a sacred oath to keep us safe but has failed abysmally, u prefer to blame a patriot who knows dat it is his sacred duty to speak out. What u ar asking of d prof is what u should ask GEJ who is president & C-in-C. U should ask him to grow a spine & go after d sponsors of BH whom he says he knows rather than palling around wit them. Prof is a patriot of no mean order who wants d country to do better because he knows we can do better. He is right & God bless him 4 dis great piece frm a very great mind.

My questions to d prof is dis, y did BH not name ali modu sherif as dere sponsor all d while he was in ANPP n APC? Wat do u tink BH stands to gain if dey willing giv d names of dere sponsor to an Australian? D last time GEJ wanted to deal wit a high ranking officer in d CBN, were u not among those u believed dat GEJ was victimising d high ranking CBN officer 4 exposing d dirty deals in GEJ's administration? Were u not among those who reasoned dat Gen. Ihejirika was using d fight against BH as an opportunity to retaliate 4 wat d northerners did to igbo's during biafra war and dere mounting pressure on d president to retire ihejirika b/cos he was too harsh on d people of d the north?
Pls read d post b4 commenting. Does d post sound like a partisan piece on d stupid identical twins, APC & PDP dat u, gullible partisan folks ar so fanatically obsessed wit?. Why must u assume dat right thinking people will view every issue thru d prism of tribalism or those evil vampires dat u call political parties.
It is shameful dat u see nothing wrong in a president whose dept of secret service is investigating a man on suspicion of being a terrorist sponsor & is palling around wit dat same suspect?. I mean which self-respecting, honourable man does dat?.
Do u expect people to ask 4 investigations when there was no accusation?. Is it not now dat Sheriff & Ihejierika hav been cited as BH sponsors dat people can call 4 investigations?. I guess in ur paranoid mind, asking 4 allegations to be investigated is wrong & is tantamount to conspiracy?.
