A better idea would hav been to invest that money. It would have been yielding profit by now and created employment. But he choose to keep all those resources locked up in a garage while the youth roam looking for job |
When nigeria sneezes? The whole of Africa catches cold... Eyaaa, big brother is not feeling fine |
shinarambo1:Desp9te the heavy carbon tax, does that stop China, as developed as they are from building more coal plant? They give us deadline but they are still building more abi? If they say we should look to alternative sources of energy, how come they that developed the technology have not moved to fully to it? The fact is we need power, lots and lots of power. We also have coal in abundance. The technology might be old for them but its still new for us. So they should allow us use the coal to giv ourselve light |
Oya madam, Go and tell your own side of the story |
Better That is the consolidation of democracy. Its cheaper completing those roads already awarded than embarking on new ones. Even though those that award the contract hav already eaten their portion of the contract sum |
sarrki:It might not. Because it seems the recession is caused majorly by the scarcity of dollars. Which many importers need to bring in things. Those that manage to bring in anything makes it expensive |
Influencing decisions... |
wellmax:Waste of time arresting a waste truck |
Ishilove:At the bolded, I dont agree that they trained us for degrees in science and medicine, what they gave us then was pure administrative training becos we need to take over from them and they trained us to administer ourselves the way they do because they believe their ways of administration is better. Check out the name of most of our founding fathers and national heros, how many of them are trained in science or in medicine? |

Many of those western world have conquered hunger Imagine stuff like chololate made from our cocoa, Corn flakes made from maize with shelf live of 2 yts + Sardine in sauce, Baked beans Potato chips which is basically irish potatoes with shelf life 1yr + Tomato paste etc etc I can go on and on. We farm, enjoy bumper harvest, enjoy cheap food for a few months and after nearly half has spoilt, food becomes expensive we complain, dont learn any lessons and the cycle continue. Is their anything wrong with us preserving food or adding value to it? |
Africans like enjoyment more than work. Most of the procedes of ill-gotten wealth is to use same for oppressing our fellows instead of making things better for them. If not, why would someone be keeping hundreds of million or even billions in liquid cash in banks? In other peoples country? What is wrong in investing that huge amount of money back into the system so that a few other people might be employed and earn their living from that money while the same money grows and increase? Africans just believe that they have to bring others down in other to move ahead, whereas there is just enough to go round for everybody |

Nice. I was hoping the Op would show us pix of Alhassan Dantata, the one that started it all. one of The richest family in northern nigeria in his time. Remember Groundnut pyramids in kano, those where his imvention and that is how he made his money. By exporting groundnut to europe. His great grand-son Dangote took after him, he is presently the world richest black man. BTW, i sidnt see Dangote in the pix |

Yet we say there shouldnt be recession. Part of the story also talk about not enough milling capacity for our local rice. And cassava to starch production for textile mills The recession is a blessing for those with money to invest |
