This is the highest level of hypocrisy I've ever seen. All the time Israel had been bombing Palestine never counted, the massacre of Palestinians is nothing to you hypocrites, Israel started throwing missiles on Palestinians while they were in the mosque observing mid night prayers, the first missile hits while they were on bowing position, no media covered that, no condemnation, no super power called out Israel, several people died, multiple injured.

Hamas retaliated with lower standard missiles with lower precision in hitting targets, no serious serious casualties; two or so, the media is awashed with news and breaking news of Palestine throwing missiles on Israel. Condemnation flowing in right and left.

This is the world we live in, where the oppressed is being tagged "oppressor" so that the oppressor can continue oppression unabated.

To the world, Israel is not terrorist, Israel isn't the problem, when you try to condemn Israel, you're tagged anti-Semitic, where Palestine is the terrorist, the oppressor... I wonder if we can rid this world of hypocrisy.

Even Americans are on the side of the oppressed, but here ignorance and hypocrisy is the order of the day

Lol!
We have seen bigger lies from those quarters.
Igbo Massacres in Biafran and Midwest were well documented.

If the man was killed as a result of mistaken identity as you are saying, then it's obvious he was only a casualty of misidentification and there was no harm intended on him or Midwesterners in general, which on its own cancels out the falsehood of Biafran troops carrying out massacre of the natives.

And mind you, I don't in any way even buy the man story. Anyone can wake up one morning and start talking nonsense.
This is Nigeria. Where we have a whole generation of Igboid speaking Ika being told by lying elders that they speak Igbo because of trade with Igbos and because the white missionaries forced Igbo language on them.
These are the type of lies elders in those climes sit down and concoct. Lies that cannot stand scrutiny. Juvenile lies.
Why would you buy the story since it's a stain on biafran soldiers. If the Biafran soldiers could kill a white man in Agbor and accuse him of being a mercenary, why can't they kill an Edo man and tag him Hausa.

You won't believe
It wasn't recorded, it's all concorted stories. That's why I said, those igbos who died whose names were not mentioned or documented during the war were all fake. It's all concorted and it's all false.

But you have do far failed to provide evidence of such occurrence.
I gave just one proof.
One of an edo Man, who was killed by Biafran troops on the road at a check point at a road that leads to Akure.

Why would an old man lie about those who killed his Elder brother. The man didn't just say he was killed for no reason. He said he was killed because he was mistaken for Hausa by Biafran troops. But you said because it was not documented, then it is false. That it is a concorted story. If we go by that logic, then we can dismiss the souls of many igbos that were killed in the war because I can say that their killings were not documented also. We can only accept those that were documented. The rest that were killed whose names are no where to be found are all concorted and false stories...

Why are still arguing blindly.
Did the post say Biafran forces kill Northern people in Midwest?
Yes, and I have no moral justification to condemn it if it is true.
Did the post say Ika and Edo people commit the genocide on Delta Igbo of Isheagu, Ogwashikwu and others except Asaba?
Yes and they gave the names and narrative which has been confirmed by all sources.
So what are you arguing again?
The post code told you the Biafran forces have a blood bond with their people in Midwest so what else are you changing?
My point has been and always been that biafran troops killed midwesterners when they were in the Midwestern region. Even if it's one soul that was killed. But you guys have denied it. I am not talking about the northerners killed in the midwest, I am talking about midwesterners. You guys are still denying it.

BKayy:
"Report by a family friend" same old joke.
The report here is the most unbiased, concise one you can see out there.
Quick question, does Edo people look like Hausa or fulani?
So because the name of my family friend did not enter the report, it's not true. If we go by the same logic, then list the names of the 3 million igbos killed in the war. Give names, list the names of the people killed in Orlu and Onitsha and Nsuka and enugu. List all their names.

PoliticsRe: Remembering The Isheagu Massacre Of May 1968 by Daum: 10:42am On May 04, 2021
BKayy:
The post never said anybody was killed because he looked like Hausa. The Edo person in the post ran away out of fear and at the continuation of the post we found out why. His people in conjunction with Ika wiped out almost all of Delta Igbo but propaganda made it look like it was done by only Hausa-Fulani.
The post clarified it was vengeance.
No need for argument. As you can see I am unbiased. I can't say a human being will see a member of the people that massacred thousands of his people and let him live. So I can't vouch for Biafran forces being stupid to let the Northerners leave alive again
That was an individual who survived. You believed the report. I gave you a report about a family friend who was killed in Edo state and you didn't believe it.

I am not justifying anything federal troops did. Infact, I am someone who felt sorry for the igbos who were killed. But I just want the igbos here to admit that biafran troops killed midwesterners. It is the truth

I have already read it. It said "atrocities" not Massacre.
They killed the older brother of my friends father. That's an atrocity.

At first you all said Biafra troops never committed any offence in the midwest. You guys posted a link, it's there.

Lol
Please I just want you guys to agree that no matter the scale, biafran troops committed atrocities.
PoliticsRe: Remembering The Isheagu Massacre Of May 1968 by Daum: 10:32am On May 04, 2021
BKayy:
I don't count vengeance as atrocities. Even the holy bible, Quran and Hadiths endorse it.
So I have no moral justification to be against Biafran forces avenging the death of Biafrans killed by Northerners in Midwest. But don't twist it. They never touched Midwest native because they are our own people.
The post even explained how the identity crisis in Delta state started.
As for the 3 million children starved and killed by Nigerian forces, whenever Biafra chooses to avenge them, I'll still have no moral justification to condemn it.
Read that link
What I always maintained that, the midwesterners killed were killed because they looked like Hausa according to Biafra soldiers . That was my very first post I made. But you said it was a lie.
Even the link shows incident of Midwesterners who had to run away for their lives. There is a report of an Esan family who were hidden in agbor by a family in agbor just to escape being killed.

Where did it say that Biafran troops lined up Urhobo people and Edo people in their towns and mass murdered them.
Show me the quote on that?

"Atrocities" is a vague word. If I forcefully take mama onome Chicken as a Biafran soldier and kill it to eat with my stupid friends without my commander knowledge, and Mama onome went and reported to her husband who came to confront me and I used the head of my gun to hit on his head and beat him senseless and send him home in injuries.
That's atrocity right there and very much condemnable.
But is it a genocide? Nope! Were the actions of the Biafran soldier sanctioned by his superiors? Nope!
Why are you afraid of reading what is on that link. Why bro
PoliticsRe: Remembering The Isheagu Massacre Of May 1968 by Daum: 10:12am On May 04, 2021
Igboid:
It's a very interesting point of history.
You know part of the reason these Edoids were aggressive towards the Biafran troops passage through their territory on the March towards Lagos?
Because Ojukwu appointed an Anioma man as the governor of the region to replace their son Ejoor. They saw the Anioma appointment as Igbo appointment and plan of domination against them. The fact that Osadebey an Anioma and not a Bini man was the rightful leader of the region before Nzeogwu struck was easily muted by these lots.
So once the FG recaptured Midwest, they saw it as an ample opportunity to trim the Igbos of Midwest.

Yet today we are being told stories of how these same Igbos they massacred are supposedly Bini descendants.
You are saying fantasy stories my friend. The first premier of the Mid west was Dennis Osadebey, till today the government house in Edo state is named after him. Keep talking rubbish

Igboid:
What's in the link?
The one you quoted where it was said that Biafran atrocities were smaller relative to those of FG?
That's a vague empty political statement. And mind you, atrocity doesn't necessarily mean genocide or murder, acts of cruelty like flogging of civilians, taking their farm produce without purchase, by belligerent lone soldiers acting in lone capacity can as well be classified as atrocities. But a genocide/ mass massacre of the people of Midwest?
No such thing happened.

Let them provide the name of towns in non Igbo areas where Biafrans committed such atrocities and the names of the victims, their villages and the Biafran unit and commanders who led the so called "atrocities"
What I posted was a screenshot. Go and read it my friend and stop avoiding it. It is there for you. Even this Isheagu incident is there. Go and read abeg

What he stands to gain from Making up stories of his elder brother being killed by Biafran soldiers, the same thing Germans who deny Jewish Holocaust and Turks who deny Armenian genocide want to gain.
They want to soothe their conscience and justify their own atrocities.

Omoigui who started the narrative of Biafran troops massacring non Igbo westerners had been tasked for years now to provide names of such victims, their home town, the Biafran unit and commanders involved.

According to the work you posted. It says that Biafran troops committed atrocities in the Midwestern region even though it was not up to the scale of the federal troops in anioma land.

You and your goons have denied that biafran troops ever did anything like that.

PoliticsRe: Remembering The Isheagu Massacre Of May 1968 by Daum: 9:25am On May 04, 2021

We talking about a massacre. The organised killing of unarmed civilians, especially in Anioma land. In fact 80 percent of the genocide happened in Anioma
I never disputed about the massacre. I am aware of the popular Asaba massacre. But you and your fellow igbo brother has denied any wrong doing by biafran troops in the Midwest.

I never talked about Biafra troops carrying out a massacre in the Midwest, but I made mention of them killing innocent unarmed civilians. I gave a report of a personal family friend and boom.... I was called a propagandist.

No such murder of Urhobo people happened in Bini City.
Those have always been stories you Urhobos and Edos made up to soothe your conscience in your involvement of massacre of Anioma people in Bini City and in their towns in Delta State when the FG arrived.
Your stories are usually vague. No name of victims and their village/town, no mention of Biafran unit or officer is ever mentioned.

It's always stories of *my father's friend*, my mother's uncle,my friend's wife.
They are usually kept as vague as possible.
First of all I never said the people murdered were urhobo men. I said an Urhobo man told me in 2007, then I barely even understood the cause of the Civil War. He said Biafra soldiers killed people in Benin city.

As for my friend's father
What does he want to gain from telling me that his elder brother was killed by Biafra soldiers. His elder brother was his father's first son.

I only see that you are trying to say that biafran troops didn't commit any atrocities in Midwestern region.
PoliticsRe: Remembering The Isheagu Massacre Of May 1968 by Daum: 7:06am On May 04, 2021
Igboid:
Your picture is senseless.
Nigeria had their own propaganda too during the war, and part of it included such pictures you posted.
Most of those communities had to do and say whatever they are told to say to avoid similar thing like what happened to Isheagu happening to them, once their towns fell to federal troops.
I mean it's so worst that Igbo communities in Delta were denying their Igbo tag to avoid massacre.
Ikot Ekpene was under FG occupation when the picture you uploaded occurred, how do we verify the authenticity of the report?
My friend dad in his 60s said that his Elder brother was killed by Biafra soldiers in Midwestern region when they invaded. His only crime was that he was like a Hausa man. They shot him.

In 2007, an urhrobo man who had lived all his life in Benin told me that the Biafrans rounded up persons who they felt were of northern extraction and executed them all in Benin city.

You have to understand why many minority tribes werr angry at the Biafrans. They did things wrongly.

Go and read the novel
When a child is motherless
You will get an account of the civil war in riverine communities by the author.
