Right now the terrorists are winning the war in the NE. Over 90% of their attacks on NA bases have been successful. In fact, Nigerian Army has now, inadvertently, become their largest supplier of weapons and ammunition. Most of the trucks that were bought from Innoson have fallen into the hands of the terrorists. Beryl assault rifle, the standard issue of our SF have found their ways into the hands of the outlawed group. Some of our advance sniper rifle have been seen in the terrorists propaganda videos. actually kainji is not d only pure AFB. Home of the agressors in yola is a pure AFB,SOF portharcourt is a pure AFB.we do have more than one AFB in a state some in civilian airports.just like in warri here where I live

My misunderstanding with him is as to whether it is normal for AFBs to co-locate with airports or not.

Maybe its like this in Nigeria but in the majority of the world, Air Force bases are not Co-located with civilian Air ports.....certainly not in South Africa....and certainly not the vast majority of countries in the world as you stated!!

P.S Not a single squadron in the entire SAAF is located at a civilian Airport......Literally not a single one

Nigeria has Makurdi, Lagos and Abuja AFBs in the civil airports in those cities.

Kainji is a pure AFB, military only.

Basically, governments usually find it cheaper to co-locate especially in bigger cities.

The former journalist and trained lawyer worked for the Sun Newspapers, before moving over to Air Peace as the airline's pioneer Communications Manager.

The airline obviously has not confirmed the incident seeing as Mr Iwarah was their Communications Manager, but the sad news has been confirmed by the Sun.

Standard practice in most countries.

Only few, if any countries have 100% pure airbases.

Even the almighty USA has a number of airports that serve dual role as AFBs.
