Imo1stson: Reports say there is general sad mood in the State and the event was not well attended. Imolites wish him a successful stay in office. Only in Nigeria would a governor's bulletproof SUV be moving with expired armored glass. The discoloration in the glass tells that the glass is delaminating and about to be as good as a regular windscreen |

SPV means Special Purpose Vehicle. It is a form of business incorporation used by companies or individuals for a specific purpose/project/transaction. |

stcool: I think Loco is right...those that have over a Billion unit cannot be selling anyhow and it will reduce the number of free float. My only concern is that if you must own over a billion units you should hold certain position inside the company, else this men do not fear God! I cant trust them. We can start and fund an SPV for this purpose. NSEMPA Ltd Chairman of the SPV will be elected on this same forum and will serve as our board rep in any company as needed. Post is renewable once with 1 year tenure. Also will drive strategy and investment decisions/discussions. Me, I stand behind loco as 1st chairman, na him idea. |

For the doubters, please read Once A True Pilgrim by William Scully. Scully was a member of the British Special Air Service(SAS), globally known till date as the daddy of special operations. You will see where he mentioned this same Brig Gen Alechenu (then Lieutenant, NA Armored Corps) as a credit to our uniform in the way they worked together to hold off and destroy RUF soldiers in the battle of Mammy Yoko Hotel. As some have said, the man probably saw things in that place that no-one else there saw. Remember, you don't ever see an old soldier who is not wise. E Copy of the book should be available here https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/3924698-once-a-pilgrim |

Nigeriadondie: He is a madness man. Let him enforce those rules in Sambisa. Where was he when seasoned Chadian soldiers were called in to fight helpless Nigerian army. This unnecessary show of brute animalistic force is uncalled for especially when dealing with sister security agencies. He was a major/Lt. colonel/colonel level officer. Only became a general in Q3 2018 |

NwaliE01: I didn't see growth. The company experienced sporadic cash flow. However, the company's Earnings Per Share (EPS) declined by 58 Kobo per share. The company's Earnings Per Share declined from 86 Kobo to 28 Kobo. Year-on-Year CCNN EPS was down by 67.4%.
The selling and distribution expenses soared from N245.87 million to N1 billion. Whilst its administrative expenses increased from N597.65 million to N1.29 billion.
That's not a good marginal profit considering the operational and administrative cost. You're right, but remember that this is CCNN's first operating result post-merger. So some of the synergies promised by the merger will surely not have come into play yet. https://www.premiumtimesng.com/business/business-news/274118-ccnn-buas-kalambaina-cement-set-to-merge.html |

fabianiyobosa: Northern Nigeria? Not of Nigeria. So we can also have Southern Nigerian Petroleum Cooperation (SNPC) and not Nigerian National Petroleum Cooperation. We are not one in this country. Note that it's a private company bro. Founded and formerly owned by a consortium of Northern states, but acquired by Abdulsamad Rabiu and his BUA Group. So a Southerner can acquire Ibile Oil from LASG and name it SNPC like you have suggested. Most important thing is for Nigeria's economy to win from whatever we do. |

stcool: https://businessday.ng/exclusives/article/mtn-stock-set-to-rally-on-perceived-scarcity/
A CEO of one of Nigeria’s leading stock-broking firm told BusinessDay that “almost all shareholders of MTN are not willing to sell”, adding that “even those that will sell are going to offer the units that cannot meet the high demand”.
“The demand will automatically lead to a rally for the stocks. I can tell you now that I have over 1 billion units of demand for MTN stocks but I am yet to see a shareholder that is willing to sell,” the CEO said.
One stockbroker with order for over 1 billion units Lool oga fear God na. Only you hold 5% of global orders for the stock? |

stcool: They have started with their estimates... Retail investors may not get this one until they have taken it to 180-200
https://businessday.ng/technology/article/updated-offers-fly-in-from-investors-ahead-of-mtns-listing/
MTN would be listing about 20.35 billion shares, at possibly an N80-90/share price range, according to the consensus analysts’ estimates.
That would value the stock at around 5 times Earnings Before Interest Tax, Depreciation and Amortisation (EBITDA). That’s almost half the frontier average, suggesting that at N90 per share, MTN will be undervalued compared to telecommunication companies in frontier markets. Analysts at Cordros Capital believe the stock is worth NGN194 per share, implying a 116-143 percent upside on the proposed listing price.
On this basis, it is quite understandable that investors are falling over one another to get a hold on MTNN’s stock. Hahahaha. Cordros Capital sha. They are involved in this listing and have now sent out their analysts to damage people's pockets. Na waa o. I'm a client of theirs and they sent me their usual sweet analysis by email this morning, with MTN as the topic of course. Only for me to realize they are probably one of the book runners. |

QuietMynd: Can someone confirm if this is true Kenyan thieves steal guns as police watch Champions League
Police in Kenya have been left red-faced after thieves stole guns and ammunition from an unattended checkpost as the officers on duty watched UEFA Champions League matches down the road.
Three rifles and nearly two dozen rounds were pinched from the checkpost Tuesday evening in Nandi, in Kenya’s west, while the officers wandered off to watch Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi play in the UEFA quarter-finals on television at a nearby shopping mall. “On returning… they noticed the room of the in-charge, which is also used as an armoury in which the steel box is kept, was broken,” stated a police report into the incident seen by AFP.
A search was underway for the stolen firearms, the report added. It was not immediately clear if the officers faced disciplinary action.
Dutch side Ajax upset Ronaldo’s Juventus while Messi’s Barcelona crushed Manchester United in Tuesday’s quarter-finals.
Football, particularly the top European competitions, is hugely popular in Kenya and across the African continent. I posted the original thread when it happened. It did truly happen sadly as Fidha confirmed |

PETERiCHY: The CAT SCENERIO you painted is EXACTLY what TONY and COY is planning to do to TRANSCORSPSE ORDINARY SHAREHOLDERS.
They DEFINITELY device a WAY to CIRCUMVENT their ORDINARY shareholders.
I see people already making N5 projection .You think they will fold their hands and watch you chop power money don't worry you go chop fire
WALE, OANDO and CONOCOPHILLIPS comes to mind
a WORD is ENOUGH for the WISE.
*ThE OcToPuS* Hate to say this but I agree with Peterichy. As soon as Transcorp acquired the Abuja Hilton, the share price spiked. Next thing we knew, Tony and co listed Transcorp Hotels. Today, it trades at more than 5x parent's value. Make what you can from the spike then withdraw. Medium to long term and based on Tony's antecedents, I expect Transcorp Power to go PLC. It is finally of the right size. Again, Holdco shareholders will be shafted! |
