Thieves broke into a Kenyan police station on Tuesday night as all officers on duty abandoned their post to watch a UEFA Champions League match at a nearby trading centre. Kenya Standard newspaper reported that the incident happened at Kobujoi Police Station, Nandi County. The thieves made away with three rifles and ammunition. On returning to the post, the soccer-crazy policemen discovered that the room of the officer in-charge, which also serves as an armoury was open. They walked in to find the steel box, in which firearms are kept, broken. The thieves stole three rifles, with magazines of 20 rounds of ammunition each. They left behind only two magazines with 17 and 20 rounds. The scene was visited by the Nandi South OCPD, OCS and AP Commander. Search and investigations are underway to recover the stolen firearms and nab the suspects. Deadlytruth:An Airbus 380 is on its way across the Atlantic. It flies consistently at 800 km/h in 30,000 feet, when suddenly a Eurofighter with Tempo Mach 2 appears. The pilot of the fighter jet slows down, flies alongside the Airbus and greets the pilot of the passenger plane by radio: "Airbus flight, boring flight isn’t it? Take care and have a look here!” He rolls his jet on its back, accelerates, breaks through the sound barrier, rises rapidly to a dizzying height, only to swoop down almost to sea level in a breathtaking dive. He loops back next to the Airbus and asks, "Well, how was that?" The Airbus pilot answers: "Very impressive, but now have a look here!" The jet pilot watches the Airbus, but nothing happens. It continues to fly stubbornly straight, with the same speed. After five minutes, the Airbus pilot radioed, "Well, what are you saying now?" The jet pilot asks confused: "What did you do?" The other laughs and says, "I got up, stretched my legs, went to the back of the flight to the bathroom, got a cup of coffee and a cinnamon cake and made an appointment with the stewardess for the next three nights - in a 5 Star hotel, which is paid for by my employer. " The moral of the story is: When you are young, speed and adrenaline seems to be great. But as you get older and wiser, comfort and peace are not to be despised either. This is called S.O.S.: Slower, Older, Smarter. Dedicated to all my friends who like me likes the S.O.S. approach! ✈️

Deadlytruth:I personally bought Fidelity at N 1.10 end 2017 and sold same at above N 3.80 last year. Still in the boat after all said and done. People bought NB at N 5 during IPO, but today NB at N 59 gives them shivers that it is too low. Never mind all the dividend and bonus they received. Those who saw value in Zenith at N 7 and rode it to N 70+ during the good old days (pre 2008) definitely can testify. Even if they didn't sell, at today's price of N 21 that's 300% capital appreciation. Again before dividends and bonuses are mentioned. I am presently testifying with Caverton, starting buying at N 1.20. Add small units at any price point below N 2.30, so some of my units are 100%+ already. Those who bought Fidson will testify when the full impact of their manufacturing contract with GSK is felt. Plus their own organic growth. Remember GSK on it's own is above N 8/share presently. And Fidson is about to take on approx 70% of their production. Agreed it will not be a fully direct transfer, but ceteris paribus I see Fidson at least at N 10/ share by conclusion of the process. As Oga Currentprice stated before, DF shortly after mutating from Tiger. Still looking for more? I know the entire system of poor corporate governance, corruption, nepotism and magical trading affects NSE badly. But trust me, if you are willing to do the all nighters after work punching calculator and poring through quarterly and annual accounts*, there is value to be had. **I HATE reading the notes to accounts, but that is where the real value is found my brother. It's where the bodies are buried ![]() |
kolaish:They have some foreign funds that have flowed in recently. Plus they are one of the more innovative Tier 2 banks in terms of product and loan offering. There may be one or two other unknowns (which is why I have 0 unit of Sterling) But I can see another Fidelity story coming out from it if the next 8 to 12 quarters remain the same. |
RabbiDoracle: Sir Rabbi no go kee personFor non Ibos "My brother, put eye for me for DAAR and AFROMEDIA using Sentimental Analysis (SA) What did it say about these 2 stocks?" |

Section7:M4 ke?! No swear for these boys now.. Upgraded Kala I agree, Beryl I agree, Tavor I agree but M4? It is very un-rugged and always needs love/maintenance/cleaning. In our harsh environment this equals to regular random/unexpected weapons stoppage due to fouling. Make weapons stoppage no be wetin go begin cost boys their life biko. |
dirtydiva:True....... the vests and webbings are in partnership with an Israeli company you forgot to add. But we should start small even if. It is a shame that DICON exists and Nigeria still imports small arms ammunition. Kenya and Sudan, among other "small" African countries produce ALL their small arms ammunition locally. Even dey export to earn US$ sef. |
No rudeness but do shut the f**k up sir. Lying every time you speak is not good... All the dead from Zamfara, to Edo, to Lagos and of course Adamawa and Borno will NEVER agree with you |
Too many mad men posing as policemen in Naija

Let's be real. The only way to build Nigeria's economy is to end all the vodoo economics going on. From the stock market where company prices make large movement without any solid reason, to the magical fuel subsidy, to finance houses that pretend to be banks, our economy is in trouble. All secured by apparent pretenders that are dressed in the garb of security men. The day we restart a culture of lending based on realistic interest rates and ensuring to adequately service facilities taken is the day this country will move economically. God will be with us

tactius:Bros we did not say flag pole and uniform accouterments factory. DICON that cannot produce up to 2000 rifles a year, is that one an arms factory? |

Foolishness!!! How many Nigerian Airlines will get multiple destination designation in UAE or Turkey? In the UK sef, how many fly beyond London? You protect the hinterland, but no, Nigeria we destroy ours. |
Old news.......and even with the free money they refuse to support enterprise. These same banks expect their customers to run sustainable business at 30% interest rate on finance. Why we no go jobless? Why factories no go shut? Why robbing no go dey? CBN should dare cut the base lending rate at least 240 basis points and simultaneously drop yield on Government securities. Let me see if the banks won't come out up in arms simply because they will be forced to start lending properly. But never, cuz it's a conspiracy against the people |
Revolva:It's not a waste considering it will serve as a base for Turkish Airlines to expand their operations. Last year, Turkish Airlines made US$ 11 billion flying 339 aircraft to 304 destinations on 5 continents. With a plan to add 200+ more aircraft, they surely need the big airport. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Turkish_Airlines |
Respek sir..........he went down fighting like a true hero |
Xander85:Because it is the home base of Delta Airlines, the world's largest airline. 2018 revenue of US$44.5 billion and a year end fleet in excess of 800 aircraft https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Delta_Air_Lines |

Officialgarri:The tail rotor is much closer to ground level than the main rotor, as this accident sadly illustrates |
Chisos!!! RIP Brave one, I pray your memory never fades! S.B Abubakar sir, please name a safety related building or drill or something like that in NAF after this hero. You immortalize him and at the same time teach people why safety is key
