MezieFresh: Let's take this scenario out...
Let me even ask... What is wrong in holding someone's shoulders... ? If it was termed over stepping boundaries... That would sound better.. But sexual assault or rape? For heaven's sake am lost...
But ladies do this... to guys and no one screams rape.
Beside the shoulder is not a private part... One can tap you on the shoulder to get you attention.
This things are peculiar to different situations.
Ladies should stop all these false allegations. Yes, Her shoulder is her private property Don't allow every Tom,dick and Harry touch ur girl child in every manner they chose, these days even boy child is endangered species in the hands of paedophile rapists Yes, It cld be sexual harassment to touch someone on their shoulder especially if it's an opposite sex and they don't know you Tapping on shoulder to get one's attention should not be a welcome idea especially when you barely know each other, in Lagos markets, people dey carry jazz touch people, be careful If you tap me on my shoulder and I don't know you, I'd either shout at you or give you a very unpleasant response |

sammyscholar: Your message is not strong enough to acquit you. And, you didn't disappoint the woman in the first place, unless you had the intention of raping the maid truly.
"See this:
"Ma, all my life, I have always worked to protect my integrity. This is important to me, for it is from it that I derive joy and pride. I did not and do not have evil, devilish intention (not even as grave as sexual assault) towards your maid; for that was never my way of life and I never pray it does!
The mistake I made, Ma, was that I tried to take a "good gesture' too far! I went too far out of my way to show hands of care! But I was only moved to care and assist a person I was meeting for the first.
Although I don't know the lady's experience: she might have had a 'rape' or a 'near-rape' experience in the hand of somebody who first showed normal care as I did before, and that might have prompted her to act the way she did. I think that might have resulted in her feeling of insecurity and paranoia as I see it to be.
I know that in life, things happen. I have taken her reaction to my gesture in good fate, and I have learnt to adjust in my relating and interacting with people. But, ma, I wanted to clarify: it is not in my thought, let alone my intention, to assault her either sexually or in any other form her. Despite all that occurred, I leave her with my best wishes. I pwish the her best in life.
I still remain my faithful self, Your Name."
This is powerful that what you sent her Powerful message I second this message |

The point is, in this present time one has to be careful, giving thorough thought to all his actions. For me its not logical for you to move close to a lady before you convince her to eat. I just pray God helps you get it resolved Ehen, u get sense ojere, people should learn from this writing Those days wey I dey go school around iyana-oba, nah so women go say make u help them cross their children for that highway, omo I dey run ohh, even when I mistakenly obliged sef one or twice, my heart go dey beat fast make e no be say the woman gan kidnap the children, they go just term you useless accomplice |

In as much as I feel for the op, who knows the girl's story too like u rightly said, this days no one can be trusted ohh, he obliged her to rest, she declined, he told her again to rest after an hour again, she declined yet again, then his conscience told him to stand up and touch her shoulder to convince her to eat or rest, wetin be him concern for the girl matter sef Like someone else said "na from clap dance dey take start" My advice: ask for forgiveness from your boss and the girl, because the girl in question got scared I guess, move on... magicminister: Interesting
Since there isn’t any solution, I’d recommend random audits of restaurants.
You can audit 50 restaurants a day and get multiple food sample after which it is tested for paracetamol. Should it test positive, the restaurant will be closed and the property handed over to the government. Awareness has been created and restaurants have been warned. This is not time to stand and look! Now it’s time to act as the nations regulatory body! I guess you know all the restaurants in Nigeria would be closed normally for not just using paracetamol only but for other related crimes as well But it would be a step in the right direction if it was adopted without bias |

The most annoying part is that religion has bleeped us all mentality that we wait for coming of a Gay Christ or Allah to save us from all this people. The original African man is a fearless man, there is nothing like judgment day after death by a white man on the throne.we should unlearn what we learnt from colonization cuz it’s really fucking us hard mentally and we believe things will be better.Next election we vote a new set of looters and d status quo keeps goin on and on.Its time we start resisting like a real African blood the concept of ‘Government’ imposed on us when dis fucking Neanderthal crossed the Mediterranean to Africa. ify2016: Christmas has come and gone, but we have just a stone throw away from New year. Therefore,we should try to apply this security tips for yourself and love ones, not even for festive period alone but also when embarking on journey with a stranger.
More crimes against people are committed on the streets during Yuletide season than in any other place.
Therefore, the following precautions can help you to reduce your chances of being a victim:
AVOID FOLLOWING A ROUTINE e.g. fixed shopping times and places,Seek advice on safe and crime prone areas
Do not carry more cash or valuables than you can’t afford to lose.
Adjust your profile to the area you are visiting.
Keep keys in a pocket rather than in a bag; never attach your name and address to your key
If you are walking on a lonely street or at night, walk facing the traffic and near the kerb.
Always Walk with someone. Most attackers will be discouraged if you have company - male or female.
Avoid dark, deserted areas, stay in well-lit areas.
Avoid shortcuts through parks, vacant lots and other deserted places.
Hold your purse close to you, not dangling. Never set it down on store counters, restaurant seats or bus seats.
If a driver stops to ask you directions, avoid getting too close to car - you could be pulled inside.
If you're being followed by someone, cross the street, act suspicious and keep looking behind you. This may discourage the follower. Walk towards a well-lit business or a group of people.
If you're being followed by someone in a car, turn around and walk in the opposite direction. If possible record the license number, seek a safe location and call the police.
When you return home, have your key ready to open door without delay.
Leave your outside light on so you can easily see when you return home.
If you are on your cell phone, keep your head up, look around and be alert.
BEACH SECURITY For those who intend to visit the beach during the break, here are a few tips to follow:
Go in company of others and wherever possible, with communication set such as radio GSM
If you are using a vehicle to the beach, ensure that it is securely locked even if you are going to be within the immediate vicinity
Please leave all valuable at home
Consider leaving the beach before 1800hrs or during a period when you will not be isolated from persons that are able to offer assistance in the event of an emergency
If you are with your children, please ensure they are always within your sight view.
HOTEL SECURITY For those of us who travelled and lodged in hotel, this is for you:
Do not entertain strangers in your hotel room
Be alert to overly friendly locals who may have criminal intentions
Never leave valuables in your hotel room exposed or unattended to, even in a locked suitcase
Place valuables, money, jewelry, airplane tickets, credit cards, passport, in a hotel safe deposit box or room safe
Familiarize yourself with escape routes in case of fire or other catastrophe
Use the door chain or bolt lock whenever you are in your room
Use the door viewer (peephole) before opening the door for visitors or hotel attendance.
Do not discuss your room number, while standing in the lobby or leave your room key on restaurant or bar tables
USE OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT Some of us might travel in public transport this festive period. Please note these:
Petty criminals frequent public transport parks everywhere in the world. In order to avoid being a victim, we advise as follows:

Do not share a taxi with unknown persons especially when you are carrying valuables
Use a rental car only if you are familiar with the route or the routes are clearly signposted and do rent an inconspicuous car
Use a reputable bus company for long distance bus travel and book in advance. If possible, select a seat at the middle.
If traveling in crowded public transport, keep personal belongings close to your person and in front of you
