This is one company insulting a whole country because they think the citizens cannot even stay together in peace; and the people of the government are just a bunch of no-gooders who only know how to steal and loot currencies that they and their forefathers have never seen. For us to further add more insults to ourselves, our minister just dey talk wetin I no know; dey demand for apology. A Federal Republic dey demand apology from one privately-owned company after serious worldwide accusation and insult. They for even arrange official visit go sony for reconciliation talks. Make one Nigerian company or even the federal govt. try that kin stunt see wetin go happen! And I sure say dem go still form on top even if they go apologise. |

Real and Complete women do not cheat on "Good Guys" and vice versa. Unfortunately, some individuals with their already spoiled minds believe (or deceive themselves) that nobody from the opposite sex is loyal and selfless. |
The simple truth whether anyone likes to hear it or not is that healthcare is a very crucial sector in any society, and in where reasonable people are, they acknowledge the importance of quality healthcare provision for everyone in the society. Those asking why doctors go on strike - Ask yourselves why most Nigerian doctors who finish medical school from privileged homes, and even some who go on and hustle by various means to go out of the country to work in India, Kenya, South Africa, even Ghana, Cuba, eastern European countries. Is it that they do not carry out our Nigerian so-called "Humanitarian Services" in these places? I believe doctors in this country have tried. I have seen senior health workers who worked to the last drop of their sweat for government establishments and retired, having nothing to show for 7-8 years of university (normal duration for medicine in Nigeria), 1-2 years of internship, 4-5 years of residency, then beginning to be regarded as a full doctor/nurse, then worked with all their hearts for the government for at least 20 years. Consider the time frame and age of these individuals by time they think of settling down, look at the salary please, these are also people who have aspirations and ambitions to accomplish some things in their lives outside working in hospital. They are not machines who you give maintenance fee (feeding money) every month. Average pay of doctors is about 100k. Look at the nature of the job and also look at the general economic situation. My friend, this is someone you expected to give 100% attention and the best of his ability to your daughter and have nothing else in his mind while doing so. Be sincere with yourself, with that pay, working condition, how possible is it in Nigeria? To render the sort of humanitarian services you're talking about from someone who 1) doesn't have time for himself (except when there was strike and he was holding nurse's hand), 2) thinks of feeding his family 3) juniors school fees 4) no time for any other sort of business to help buffer that nonsense they are paid except private practice, wait I bet if it was 2am in the morning and you went to the hospital, you would have expected to meet a doctor there to deliver perfect service to your daughter. Please do not say they are paid for it , with 100k per month! And this same individual has to report to work 8 am in the morning! The simple truth is at least let these people be compensated for their sacrifices and efforts they put into the profession in this country. Nigerians like to shout "Humanitarian Service". Humanitarian service has no age limit or job boundary! Everybody can and is obliged to carry out humanitarian services, it is not restricted to a group of people! When anyone feels "Humanitarian Service" is not being rendered as it should be, such individual should please kindly go for medical training and come out and deliver it perfectly. |
