PoliticsRe: Professor Jega - Nigerians Thank You For A Job Well Done! by Dave6: 6:48am On Apr 17, 2011
The voting patterns of some of our SS/SE brothers and sisters  shows that there is a lot to be done in educating the  electorate in those regions about the importance of putting  national interests ahead of bigotry when one votes. I  particularly commend the voters of the SW and Northern  regions who showed that they are not as bigoted as their SS/ SE counterparts.
In as much as you would love to see whatever candidate you support come out as winner, you don't have to develop judgemental deficiencies.

From the results that were pasted here on NL, it is sad to see that Nigerians are still infected with deep ethno-religious sentiments.

Where it was most obvious was in the North. In areas where Christians were less, Buhari overwhemingly swept votes. In areas where Christians were more GEJ overwhwmingly swept votes; this was very obvious even within  single states like Kaduna, Plateau.

I even commend the South because  CPC even tried there better than ACN because such voters even took the 'individual' factor into consideration.
I saw a result posted here on NL from a polling unit in Rivers State: PDP had about 300+ and CPC about 100+, Now that sort of
competitition is what you won't find in Katsina or even Kano.

CPC really had a better performance yesterday, both in the North and South. Buhari's strategy of crying on TV actually really paid off.
PoliticsRe: 2011 Presidential Elections: Results From Up North- CPC calling the shots so far by Dave6: 11:50pm On Apr 16, 2011
Once again, alot of funny results on NL. I think it's best to wait for the official result!
I don't think we should start making conclusions.

Were you the only voter in that polling unit that the staff will be stuffing ballot boxes in front of voters and party agents?
PoliticsRe: Do Not Vote For An Infidel by Dave6: 11:24pm On Apr 16, 2011
GEJ has already taken the day whether 'infidels' in those states cast a single vote or not. The support for him in other states of this country was adequate for a clean victory.

Because voters, party agents and even observers will be witnesses in the voting and collating exercises in this very important election.

PoliticsRe: You Wanted A Trustworthy President?,,,,, Then, that is him. by Dave6: 8:13pm On Apr 13, 2011
GEJ is a True Leader. If he maintains his stand, then this President will be the greatest Naija President I've seen.

PDP is a National Party and Nigerians MUST choose whoever qualifies to lead them.

For this recent development, GEJ will clear most of the votes in the North, because the Northern masses are sick and tired of this zoning madness which only benefits the cabal members.

Now we can see that many people just support certain Candidates just for their own selfish reasons.
Whoever wants to bring his support on the condition that power will be shifted to his kinsmen in the following adm. should please keep his support or vote to himself because the New Nigeria is here and our generation will only want to be led by whoever we deem fit irrespective of tribe or religion.

GEJ will need votes from the S/W in favour of him instead of against him to ensure the Landslide Victory we expect.

These guys have conceded their defeat and have clearly seen the wishes of the people and learnt a bitter lesson, so I think what's best is for everyone is to look forward.

I see GEJ winning, even with a wide margin.
Anyway, we'll confirm on Saturday.
PoliticsRe: Ribadu Stands Down by Dave6: 1:20am On Apr 13, 2011
Bhuari will NEVER step down for anybody because all he want  at any cost is the Presidency, to complete his uncompleted  Military president of  1983-85.
even if it means doing the opposite of what he promised his supporters; romancing with the likes of Atiku, IBB, Ciroma , In fact the CPC had since been hijacked. IF Buhari wins (which will not happen even in his wildest dreams), he would be as good as useless because the affairs of such a government will be controlled by these cabals that made the government possible in the first place.

Nonetheless, making an alliance b/w the two parties will have no effect (if not positive) on GEJ's no. of votes.

I expected ACN to work closely with GEJ so that the effect would be a government constituted largely by different parties (at least the two largest) working in harmony.
But it seems ACN risks being defeated this Saturday in a very bad position alongside CPC.
PoliticsRe: Ribadu Stands Down by Dave6: 12:47am On Apr 13, 2011
Newsdiaryonline learnt that the pressure on Ribadu  to step  down is not coming from the ACN chieftains alone. Some  chieftains of the Ciroma group including IBB an d others  are  urging Ribadu to step down for Buhari.
The same cabal that has found PDP uncomfortable to thrive in (thanks to GEJ) are now handling the affairs of this CPC. So what will be the use of Buhari?

Bola Ahmed Tinubu ,former governor of Lagos state  is also  known to be the chief advocate of  the move to have Ribadu  step down from within the ACN.He is said to be eyeing the  presidency in 2015  and wants  to be vice president to Buhari  now.In fact, posters hinting at the Buhari/Tinubu alliance  are  very visible at some strategic locations in Kaduna .Insiders  said Tinubu has been doing all he can to ensure that the  alliance between ACN and CPC materializes.
Now that there is what will squash the presidential ambitions of both parties!

It would have made more sense if Ribadu was fielded as the common presidential candidate.
PoliticsRe: Ribadu Stands Down by Dave6: 9:02pm On Apr 12, 2011
See mess up. Mess up!!!

Alliance or no alliance, GEJ is sweeping across Naija on Saturday!
