- According to Israeli reports it was pilot error and not taking the right evasive action that caused it to be shot down... Also fighters have several counter measures, they don't need to be stealthy to avoid radar detection or to evade Sam's.

Also straight from Syrian officials : "In 2020, Syrian military officials criticized the S-300 air defense systems supplied by Russia, saying they failed to protect Syrian sites from the Israeli strikes."

- my bru how many impala were shot down in Angola?

- yes very sure
Southies and their love for bush war with angola is just like 5 and 6 cheesy......

Why do you think global politics has changed? The Rus-Uk war is just another small war in the history of wars.

It has not altered anything politically or militarily in the world (except exposing the image of Vlad's red butt cheeks)

It's not like Turkey are exactly friends of Iran. Heck, Turkey disdains Iran's ambition of being sole power in the region (something nuclear weapons will give them)

What assurance will Vlad give them? Veto in the UN?

On the matter of Taiwan, I don't really know much (I don't bother myself actually) with security and geopolitics outside our continent and by extension the ME
All major wars started from little wars, look at what NTSA was quoting from his book, the TSARS butt were exposed that then brought about a revolution due to the TSARS incompetency, leading to Stalin taking over. Russia then wasn't that much powerful but Stalin prioritised military and boom we have ww1, ww2 and cold wars. Just forget my paranoia for now, lets be optimistic; Do we want to talk about Germanyhuh..... All major wars especially Europeans started with grudges from little wars. How's Britain now? How many PM are suddenly opting to retire, recently we heard about italian pm. Putin is currently on his last legs, if he does nonsense; they will remove him like always, atleast that's how their history reads... Russia has always been a land grubber with their main ancestry land being the size of UK. I better have putin than another lunatic like Stalin on that seat even US knows.

[quoate author=davefurn post=114864114]Rumors are flying about Nigeria wanting to join BRICS, Seen it from 2 different sources today. What are the advantages and disadvantages? How will it affect our foreign policy especially our relation with the west? Hope it doesn't cause discord between Nigeria and US especially in these sensitive times

I really hope and pray so cause the earlier Nigeria joins the group the better we have alternative trading partners to do business with should incase the U.S place sanctions on Abuja for a dumb reason that only pleases Uncle Sam's selfish political interests. Who knows maybe Nigeria may get her Economic breakthrough with the help of BRICS and in turn use it to the advantage of West Africa and Africa at large.
Thank God the group doesn't poke-nose into it's members political business to the extent of ochrestaring a regime change, neither does any member claims superiority over another.
Tbh I don't really know the correct choice, south africa has managed to play neutral with being in brics maybe we can too

Israel is powerful no doubt about that,, but the Israelis that fought the six day war are different to the present Israelis.

Striking Iran is like diving into the Ocean with your arms and legs tied together..suicide. bro!

1. Iran influence in the middleeast can't be matched by any country in the region. Even Uncle Sam.

2. Israel will be overwhelmed with Iran proxy attacks, even Hezbollah gave them a hard time in 2006. imagine what will happen if Iran was to declare war on Israel with it proxies going gaga with enough supplies. That is why all Arab nations in the region are avoiding any form of coalition with Israel and Uncle Sam.

3. Iran is not a push over for any country even Saudi won't dare provoke them. Houthis is enough headache for them. Israel will be fighting alone this time, and if Uncle Sam comes to their aid, China or Russian will openly support and even provide equipment to them, Uncle Sam have show everyone how to provide for a country fight for surviver cheesy Ukraine comes to mind.
It will be an interesting fight anyways to watch. Lemme grab my 3d glasses, had my fill of kalibrs and islanders(kalibrs were developed 2012, just found out today btw and tomahawk had over 50 yrs of development, in the missiles area. Russia are leagues ahead of USSR). Time for drones not tb2 shit.... Reapers
needs to be tested wink !!!!!!!

Those balls will melt at the face of Iran, baby Israel can only flex it muscle against Arabs with Uncle Sam backing not Iran. All the threat of strike are just wailing or should i say last kick of a dying horse.

USA won't be there to save them. There is a report that Putin and Erdogan are heading to Iran for a meeting and even the Arab nations are distancing themselves from Israel and USA. Nobody wants the destabilization of peace in the middleeast.
Israel is pretty powerful though, don't underestimate them and don't overestimate. Iran will have a hard time facing them without foreign help

Speaking of Iran, as anyone thought of why the U.S wants to use Israel as a watchdog to prevent Iran from having nuclear weapons, and yet the U.S has a myriad of stockpiles while Israel is said to have in secret (although I'm not sure).

Yesterday's night news got me suspicious about Biden's visit to the Middle East and the pledge to prevent the influence of Russia, China and Iran in the middle east. Seems Uncle Sam is afraid of something
Well, you can't blame them from another pic;

generally one does not use a missile which costs at least 1.5 million dollars per missile ( for the S400 system) to intercept little MLRS rockets . Even for the Buk systems it would be too expensive and not really effective .

To deal with the Himars it must be the artillery ,MLRS , counter battery systems and radars that are involved with air force and UAV assistance .
Exactly, your opinion sounds more logical

Both have thesame capabilities , just that himars is faster(which why it was mainly designed for) due to it been wheeled and very light and more optimal for Ukrainians situation
Just like Twitter and Twitter lite. HIMARS rockets are designed smaller, but very precise. Also very light for high mobility, so after a quick launch which takes like 5 minutes max, you move to a new position.... But mlrs due to its weight, it launch period is just 5-10 minutes notwithstanding the processes beforehand and also moving can be very slow due to its weight even though it's tired(8 minimum) or tracks.

Guys, what's the difference between the HIMARS and the MLRS here in Nigeria?!
HIMARS is a lighter version of MLRS but HIMARS can stil carry the ammunition of MLRS and one is wheeled chasis and the other is tracks

Check out twitter news feed today, seems they want to go stanlingrad style and fight back; since western weapons aren't working. Fight fire with fire but you're fighting that fire with someone that have been fighting with fire since and it's their doctrine. Let's see how it goes, now those on Soviets doctrine, what did I say before; when advanced weapons fails, numbers is the best option. That's good thinking from the Ukrainian side, since they are getting losses, let's overload them with canon fodders; since we outnumber them before 20:1....let's increase the number exponentially; but remember since they played this tactic, they haven't won any city back, even Kiev wasn't taken nor kharkiv taken and only a fool won't notice that China is funding/backing russia economically for a battle of attriction especially BRICS role(As far as Russia has BRICS full support, they have nothing to bother on economically ; that's my assumption though, I can be very wrong). The long term foresight is that, if ww3 happens with Britain/Europe population; they will find it very hard. Why? Remember ww2, most of Europe army were their colonies ; unless they recolonize Africa and Asia again... They will find it very hard, numbers still play a very big role in very large warfare; Afghanistan proved it, Vietnam proved it apart from Persian gulf war
