But who says EPL is not a power house of modern football?
For the past 10 years now,they have always been featuring in major European competition finals and winning most of them.
Like this season,they played in two continental finals and won all.

But Serie A teams featured in 3 continental finals and ended up losing them all this season.
Now that is part of a characteristics of farmer's league.

Such thing can never never happen with EPL teams.

According to the bookmakers, it is very likely indeed. You can get 7:2 against Inter Milan winning the trophy. But of course such things count for little on the night.

But the reason Man City are favoured is not too hard to see. In the knockout stages there were perceived to be four “power teams” who looked capable of winning it all. Man City, Real Madrid, Bayern Munich and Napoli. Three of the four ended up in one half of the draw, and Man City prevailed. Napoli suffered by a surprising upset by Milan in the quarter finals. Inter Milan were not considered a serious threat to win it all, having finished second and their group and lost both home and away to Bayern (2–0 both times).

Inter are by no means a poor side, but they finished 3rd in Serie A, which had not enjoyed much UCL success in recent years (and might not have done this year, but for all the Italian teams falling on one side of the quarterfinal draw). On the other hand, Man City won the English Premier league with four games to spare, and crushed both Bayern Munich and Real Madrid en route to the final.

Anything can happen in 90 (or 120) minutes. But Man City are heavy favourites for a reason.
