Federico Dimarco posted an apology message to Milan supporters on his instagram story late on Thursday evening following his celebrations after Inter knocked their rivals out of the Champions League semi-final on Tuesday night.

The Nerazzurri wing-back was filmed with a microphone in hand leading anti-Milan chants at the Stadio Meazza while the players celebrated with the supporters in the stands, much to the annoyance of the Rossoneri fanbase.

Later that evening, a banner, several metres in width, with an intimidating message was hung on the gates of Dimarco’s home in Milan.

The banner read: “Dimarco, stick to playing or we’ll make you swallow your words,” which was removed minutes later and the incident is now being investigated by the local police, using CCTV footage to identify the responsible culprits.

In response, Dimarco posted an apology to his instagram story for his actions after the final whistle of the Champions League semi, which read: “Tuesday evening after the game I let myself go to a moment of madness. I want to apologise to all the Milan fans who felt offended.”

Though reportedly disturbed by what happened outside his home, Dimarco will join his teammates as usual on Friday as they prepare to face Napoli at the Stadio Maradona on Sunday evening.

Paul Pogba left the pitch in tears after suffering yet another injury and his physical struggles have made every minute of play expensive for Juventus this season.

As such, every minute of play has cost Juventus around €65,000 this season, an extremely disappointing return on investment for the club.

Pogba’s 2022-23 season has come to an end now following his muscle injury in the win over Cremonese and he’ll be hoping to finally reach full fitness in the coming months.

A Turkish evacuation plane coming into land at an airbase outside Sudan's capital, Khartoum, has been fired at, Turkey's defence ministry confirms.

No-one was injured and it landed safely at Wadi Seidna, where it was being checked.

Sudan's army blamed paramilitary fighters for firing at the aircraft and damaging its fuel system.

The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) denied the allegation, saying it was committed to the extended humanitarian truce.
The rival military factions agreed to an extension of their ceasefire at midnight local time (22:00 GMT on Thursday) for a further three days.

It has had only a limited effect, with army jets continuing to pound RSF positions in Khartoum during the night.

The previous truce allowed thousands of people to attempt to flee to safety, while dozens of countries organised evacuations.

Turkey's defence minister said efforts would continue to rescue Turkish citizen from Wadi Seidna and the city of Port Sudan on the Red Sea coast.

Since the clashes began 14 days ago, hundreds of people have been killed and tens of thousands forced from their homes.

The fighting is devastating the capital and its surrounds - which until recently had a population of around 10 million - leaving people without supplies of food, water and fuel.
