I think NTEL is very unreliable, initially they said the would launch in PH last month which was May, but they didn't do so and when I contacted them on Facebook and twiter but was told they weren't sure when they would be launching in PH, mind you PH is a city and not a state, you keep referring to it as a state but it's not state, if NTEL can't handle a simple launch in a city how then will they be able to handle the remaining states. MTN,GLO and ETISALAT did better on their launch than NTEL...can't even give a definite date for a launch. Why not just make your motto 'coming soon'

Bro am having difficulty in downloading torrents on my laptop. Either from kickass or piratesbay or any whatsoever and I have been having this issue since April. Please how do I go about this?
I use Utorrent, FDM and the likes.

You have to be more specific than that, what exactly is wrong with the torrent download? are you sure ur system isn't configured to use a specific proxy?

Sorri I can't seem to get my blackberry to come on, my bookmarks for movies are kept there.
I can only suggest the android apps I use on my phone to download....and they are in the picture bellow⤵

It hasn't come to that, unless of course u have a stake in glo. If not I see no reason for ur choice of words. Glo is working well for u, good. But it ain't working well for majority. I can't change my location just because I want to use glo when there are other alternatives.

i did suggest you switch to another network. and as for my choice of words, it's in responds to the choice of words used on the the network and no I have no stake in glo.... the thing is no network has 100% coverage every where in nigeria, I loose network signal on airtel once I step into my house and getit back once I step out of that area, and mtn network is OK at my house but the worst at my friends house. it's not just Glo, it'san issue with every netwok, so if you have a low coverage on one network switch to another that has better coverage in your area. that simple!!

Only if you are comfortable with their plans, like I said it's a matter of choice and what works best for you.
there was a time when mtn was my favourite network and I despised Glo, that's not the case anymore.

I use a lot of sites depending on the movie I want or the quality I want.
mobilevids.org is what I use when I want to download a movie of standard quality like 320p (each movie is usually sized at 300mb - 400mb)

then for high quality movies I use torrents sites

and for Korean Movies I use kissasian.com. but if you want more I can check my bookmark and list them out

it's faster when you insert the sim into a good router and use wifi in the midnight. you can achieve 5MB/sec then or use a mifi or hotspoting it.

I keep hearing terrible comments about glo's network but to be honest, my glo's monthly subscription never stays beyond a week or a week and some few days, why you might wonder why?? That's because the network is basically the fastest in my area in PH.....fast enough that I do monthly subscription 4times a month and it's even faster in the midnight when am hotspoting to my laptop or using it on my router. look at this screenshot and decide for yourself.

Glo is the fastest in my area so stop abusing the network. it's only bad in ur area so either take a walk and look for a better location or switch to something expensive otherwise shut the f**k up....your choice!

from what I head it won't be unlimited for long, it will probably be capped after your first 3 months. and its currently fast now because there are few subscribers on the network...imagine what will happen when they have as much subscribers as the other telecoms

God bless you. It baffles me. I have never experienced bad network with glo yet I see people complaining bitterly. Tho I am currently using airtel

same here bro. I use the airtel unlimited night plan when I want to download ps3 games and movies. it's very affordable...but I have to be outside or at my kitchen window to actually get service, that sucks for me but its a sacrifice am willing to make. Still waiting for NTEL to get to PH. I have high hopes for them.

I really don't know what you guys problem with Glo is, just because the network is bad in ur area doesn't mean it's the same every where. in PH where I stay Glo runs at 1.9MB/sec at night and 700kb-1mb/sec in day time, which is better than mtn that can't even maintain a megabyte in the night come to talk of day time. while on airtel I lose network once I step into my house (don't know what sort of coverage that is) and Etisalat is too extravagant for me to go close to. but I don't go about criticising airtel or mtn for their flaws because I know it's probably the best network for someone out there due to their location being better. So we should stop criticising Glo when they are providing a cheaper option for the masses and encourage them so other networks can feel challanged enough to also do the same.

Imagine You were the owner of Glo and after giving the masses such a cheap data you come to nairaland and see all this insults, be honest to ur self what would be ur reaction?

First off, I buy my Samsung phones cheap when am back in school. And even if it was very expensive, I would rather give my money willingly to Samsung than waste money on techno. Dont stress it, The day u eventually handle a good phone for the first time, only then will u know what am talking about. For now stick to techno.

this thread is an insult to the galaxy s6, I have been using the galaxy s6 edge for the past 3months and I haven't had any of this so called 'lag' you guys are associating with Samsung phones. have you even used a good Samsung phone b4? because if you have you won't be creating threads like this. lolz and to compare a techno phone to a Samsung phone, its like comparing a kekenapep to a Ford mustang. just go back to comparing infinix to techno.

just do me a favour and head over to XDA-developers forum and see real comparison between premium phones that are of international standards, phones that when stripped to its bare minimum can still be called a premium phone and not an under-developed and under-hardware phone such as techno, imagine the high price they are placing on their new phones, phones that use cheap mtk chips, inferior LCD screens that can't really give you a full hd display and clustered kernels suffering from terminal illness. its a shame not all Nigerians are tech savvy.
