Dozens Of Christians Kidnapped In House-to-house Abductions In Northern Nigeria - Christian Gospel TV

Suspected Islamic extremists on Monday night kidnapped 36 people from a predominantly Christian village outside the city of Kaduna, in northern Nigeria.

Area resident Narin Barde said Muslim terrorists on Monday attacked the Keke B Community area of Millennium City, Chikun County, shooting randomly and capturing 36 Christians.

“The Muslim terrorists attacked the community at about 9 p.m., shooting at the people, and broke into their houses and forcefully took away the victims to an unknown place,” Barde said in a text message to Morning Star News.

On June 28 suspected Islamic terrorists attacked predominantly Christian Sabon Gero village, kidnapping 16 people, area residents said.

In northwest Nigeria’s Sokoto state, Roman Catholic leaders reported that one of their parishioners, Tony Udemezue, was kidnapped at gunpoint on Monday (July 25) at 2 a.m. from his home in Tambuwal, Tambuwal County.

The Rev. Chris Omotosho, director of communications for the Catholic Diocese of Sokoto, said in a press statement that Udemezue called police before being taken away at gunpoint but received no help from officers.

“There was no police response to the distressed phone call by Udemezue at about 2 a.m.,” Omotosho said. “This is despite several phone calls he made to the police before he was taken away. Please let us keep him and his family in prayers.”

The kidnappings follow the abduction and killing of the Rev. John Mark Cheitnum of the Catholic Diocese of Kafanchan, Kaduna state. He was kidnapped on July 15 from the parish rectory of Christ the King Catholic Church in Yalding Garu, Lere County and later killed. His body was found on July 19.

Cheitnum served as priest at St. James Parish in Fori, Jema’a Local Government Area, according to the diocese.

The Rev. Julius Kundi, bishop of Kafanchan Diocese, said while addressing mourners at Cheitnum’s funeral on Thursday (July 21) that Christians will remain steadfast in spite of such attacks.

“I was crushed by the news of the death, but I am convinced that his death will prove to our enemies the genuineness and the beauty of our faith,” Kundi said at the Cathedral of St. Peter Claver, in Kafanchan town. “Those whose stock in trade is the abduction and the gruesome murder of members of the clergy should know that this will not stop us from courageously carrying the torch of the gospel to the ends of the earth, notwithstanding the barrage of attacks on our faith.”

Gunmen attacked another village in Kaduna state, Janbaba in Giwa County, on July 19, killing one Christian, said area resident Philip Umar in a text message to Morning Star News.

“For two days, we were not able to sleep at night as the bandits visited us with horror,” he said.

The chairman of the Southern Kaduna Christian Leaders Association (SKCLA), Pastor Emmanuel Nuhu Kure, condemned the spate of attacks in a statement on July 20.

“The rising cases of priests being kidnapped and in some cases killed by their abductors, even after receiving ransoms, is worrisome,” Kure said. “We pray God to expose these killers and rescue all Christians in the den of their kidnappers.”

Nigeria led the world in Christians killed for their faith last year (Oct. 1, 2020 to Sept. 30, 2021) at 4,650, up from 3,530 the previous year, according to Open Doors’ 2022 World Watch List report. The number of kidnapped Christians was also highest in Nigeria, at more than 2,500, up from 990 the previous year, according to the WWL report.

Nigeria trailed only China in the number of churches attacked, with 470 cases, according to the report.

In the 2022 World Watch List of the countries where it is most difficult to be a Christian, Nigeria jumped to seventh place, its highest ranking ever, from No. 9 the previous year.

The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress, APC presidential candidate, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu campaign organisation, Adams Oshiomole said he will come after supporters of Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of Labour Party should they come after him.

Oshiomole made this assertion while speaking in an interview on The Morning Show of Arise News on Wednesday.

The former APC national chairman had argued that most of the presidential candidates, who had spoken have not sufficiently, in most cases, addressed how they are going to address the issues that Nigeria is confronted with as a nation.

Oshiomole singled Obi out, saying the Labour Party candidate got away with intriguing several intriguing questions put across to him.

He said, “Obi was asked how, and he said, “It’s a secret.”

When told that supporters of Obi will come after him if he criticises their candidate, Oshiomole swiftly replied, “I will come after them.”

Insecurity: Buhari is a failure – Soyinka takes stand on impeachment plot

Nigerian Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka, on Tuesday, backed the six weeks ultimatum given to the President, Muhammadu Buhari, by some federal lawmakers to find a solution to terrorism or be impeached.

Soyinka spoke in Abeokuta, Ogun State, during an interactive session organised to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Abeokuta Club.

He condemned a situation in Nigeria, where a failure, who has occupied a seat of government for eight years, would “give us another failure for another eight years”.

The session, which had a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana, the Registrar of the Joint Administration and Matriculation Board, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, among others, had as its theme: “Good governance or mis-governance: The contract called democracy.”

Recall that some Senators and members of the House of Representatives elected on the platform of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) had last week handed down the ultimatum over lingering insecurity in Nigeria.

Soyinka, who was the session’s moderator, insisted that Buhari should be impeached because he had breached the contract of democracy.

Soyinka said, “Democracy indicates a contract, that is why the candidate puts on a manifesto. On the basis of that manifesto, the candidate is either accepted or rejected.

“Very often, the grounds for breach of contract, I think we all agree, is mis-governance and one of the ways of breaking this kind of contract we know even before the duration of a contract is known as impeachment.

“The reason we will go by some legislators to impeach the President who is the head of government. In fact, one cleric has gone even further. He believes that the impeachment should take place not in the legislative home, but in the bush with the kidnappers and he appealed to the kidnappers to quicken the process by impeaching the President and taking him away and some of his aides and one or two governors.

“Many of us in this country, including governors, including chairmen of local governments, what comprehension they have of this process called democracy, because what these governors are telling us is that after a failure has occupied a seat of government for eight years, that failure should give us another failure for another eight years.”

An android phone battery can last up to 2 or 3 days, depending on its capacity. Iphone battery ranges from 2900mAh - 3000mAh while Android ranges from 2900mAh - 5000mAh.



2. Camera: In this section, i will score both of them a DRAW. Both phones have good camera quality, it just depend on the model and camera specification of either the Android or the iPhone you are using. So i can score them 50:50.



3. Storage: The difference is clear. In terms of storage you can never compare both phones because Android does it better. Am not saying iPhone has a bad storage, it is not just enough . All android phone even use eternal storage like the memory card but iPhones does not support memory card. Iphone uses more of Icloud to store its files.


4. Bluetooth: This were i feel apple Inc. did a bad job in the making of iphone. Although bluetooth is old school but it is still in use . Iphones Bluetooth can not pair or even share to anothe smartphone except from one iphone to another which i think its very bad. Android phones does it better when it comes to using bluetooth, it can pair, and also share file to any device with the use of bluetooth.

The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has distanced herself from the information trending in the social media that RCCG is sponsoring a particular candidate for 2023 Presidential election.
Speaking on behalf of the Church, the Assistant General Overseer, Admin. and Personnel, Pastor Johnson Odesola, said the Directorate of Politics and Governance is an RCCG internal instrument, created to help co-ordinate the engagement of RCCG members who are willing to be involved in politics as well as mobilise support for them.

He explained that the directorate was not set up in any way to insinuate or support a particular political aspirant as being referred to, adding that as would be expected, the Church has members that belong to several political parties, but would not itself get into partisan issues.
He added that RCCG as a big and dynamic Church considers herself one of the nation’s stakeholders and the work of the directorate is in direct response to the advisory of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to support the Church’s members on effective and efficient voter education and the discharge of their related civic rights and obligations.

He also remarked that RCCG as a big and dynamic Church considers it necessary to respond to the growing interest of its members in politics and governance by ensuring that their standing as law abiding citizens in all spheres of life is neither compromised nor fall below the standard expected of followers of Christ.

He also said that what RCCG is doing is not different from what other Churches like Catholic are doing to update their members with policies, laws and regulations regarding the polity and governance, adding that the Church does not promote the interest of one particular political party as members are expected to be in different parties and pass through necessary tutelage on how to conduct themselves in public office.
He concluded that RCCG will continue to offer spiritual and moral support to its members through prayers, encouragement, exhortation, counseling and moral instructions in line with its Christian Social Responsibility.

Osinachi Egbu, the award-winning gospel singer better known as Sinach, and a host of friends treated fans to a memorable music experience at a Christmas concert in Lagos.
The event themed ‘Sinach And Friends Christmas concert’ was held at The Monarch, Lekki.

It featured acts from the local and international scenes most notably Onyeka Onwenu, ace Nigerian songstress, and Todd Dulaney, American gospel singer.

The concert pulled a crowd of music lovers and enthusiasts from different works of life as the Christmas spirit reverberated through, with the young and old not left out.

There was a Christmas tune everyone could sing along or hum to.

The concert lived up to its billing as fans were treated to electrifying performances from various gospel musicians and choirs.

A high point of the event would be the moment Sinach was joined on stage by Onwenu as they combined to deliver a performance for the ages that had fans purring for more.

Other artists to grace the stage include Adlan Cruz (Puerto Rico), Da’dra Great house (USA), Ayo Vincent (Lagos) and the Gosgem Choir.

Sinach also performed some of her hit songs much to the delight of the audience as well as ‘Jesus is King’, a yet-to-be-released song, in company of the Gosgem Choir.

The ‘Waymaker’ crooner also disclosed that a big spin-off of the concert would be a charity initiative tagged ‘Gosgem Mum’ dedicated to hardworking mothers who require support.

“It would be a platform for mothers who are doing so much but do not have the resources to do much more. We want to be able to give them something,” she said.

Todd Dulaney had nothing but praise for the songstress as he enthused about her consistency in putting out soul-lifting music.

“It’s her consistency for me. When I say consistency, I mean everytime she puts out new music, it affects everyone in the world, not just Nigeria,” he said.

“For instance, every church in the world is singing Waymaker. You have a global figure that ‘started from the bottom and now she’s here.’ She has affected all of us in unique ways and has made the gospel fun for us all.”

Good day my esteemed blog readers, welcome to my blog. Today, we will be talking about FACTS ABOUT THE NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA (NOUN). So many people have their different perception about the NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA, some are positive, and some are negative. Am a graduate of NOUN, computer Science (second class lower). Let me discuss a little bit about my experience in NOUN.

For me I will say NOUN is one of the best school in Nigeria when it comes to flexible education. The school is a work and learn school i.e. you can be going to work and learning at the same time OR we can call it an ODL school (Open Distance Learning School). They have different study centers in all the 36 states. My study center is Apapa Study Center (NAVY BASE).

I had a great time in the school, but the only challenge I faced, was during my clearance process and registration process. OMG! it was very hectic to get your matric number, do your clearance and payment of fees; but this is as at 2012. As at 2020, things began to change, good co-ordination, better educational structure and improved school portal. One of sweetest part of the school is that you can pause your education and continue when you are read; but it is not a good idea I must advice. Lets look at some common question asked by new student who want to enroll.

Is NOUN Government Approved?
Before we continue, lets look at some well known people that has graduated from the NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY OF NIGERIA. Here are some pictures below;

As you can see the picture has already said it all. National Open University of Nigeria is an FG approved University recognized by the NUC in 1976. The NUC, then headed by Prof. Jubril Aminu as the Executive Secretary (1975-1979) sent a Memo to the Federal Military Government suggesting that an autonomous Open University be established for Nigeria during the Fourth National Development Plan (1981-1985). This was accepted by the Federal Government and subsequently, the idea made its appearance in the National Policy on Education in 1977.

Do Noun Student Go For NYSC?
This question has been asked by so many student. and the answer is YES. NOUN now go for NYSC. As we all know that as a student, chances of you going for NYSC depends on your age. If you are between the age of 20 - 25, you are qualified to go for NYSC; but if you are within the age of 26 - 30. you will be given a exclusion letter.

The answer to this question is YES. NOUN certificate is recognized not only in Nigeria, it is recognized all over the world. There May Be No Nigeria Before 2023 Elections— Pastor Adeboye Of Redeemed Church Warns Politicians - ChristianGospel TV

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye says no one is certain about the future of Nigeria and the 2023 elections.

He stated this on Sunday while addressing the congregation during the church's November Thanksgiving service.


Adeboye questioned politicians already making preparations for the 2023 elections, stressing that the future belongs to God.

The clergyman asked why anyone would say their ambition is to become the president when the individual is unsure about tomorrow or the continued existence of the country.

Adeboye said, “This is 2021, some people are already getting ready to kill themselves over 2023. They don’t even know whether there will be 2023, they don’t even know whether they will still be around. There is nobody here who can say for sure that he will still be around by tomorrow. It is God who determines who will still be around by 2023.

“Someone said to me, sir, who do you think will be president in 2023, I said the president of where? He said the president of Nigeria. How are you sure there will be Nigeria in 2023? How are you sure? Can you swear? I pray there will be Nigeria, so you don’t misquote me. But are you sure?” he added.

Speaking on the topic, ‘Great Expectations’, Adeboye said his expectation would be to see many members of his church in heaven, while hoping that a section would be earmarked for them.

He said, “My greatest expectation is that I will see you in heaven. The members of Redeemed will occupy a particular section that the angel will say you tried. Without holiness, there is no Heaven. Which Heaven are you going to?”

Adeboye also prayed for those who are currently under the rubble of the 21-storey building that collapsed in the Ikoyi area of Lagos State last Monday and also prayed for consolation for the bereaved.

The 79-year old preacher stressed that having lost a family member, he has a clearer picture of what it is to mourn.

“It is easy to say you will see the person again because I have tasted it. I have the experience,” he added.

BREAKING: Over 60 Members Of Baptist Church Kidnapped In Nigeria, CAN Seeks Govt’s Intervention- ChristianGospel TV

Your prayers are again very much needed for the Christian families in Nigeria especially the Northern part, following another attack on Christians, this time by a group of bandits. The incident reflects the increasing and shocking impunity with which armed bandits and extremist Islamic militants are wreaking havoc across Nigeria, with Christians often amongst those targeted.

Armed bandits in Nigeria’s Kaduna State kidnapped more than 60 worshipers during a church service and shot one Christian dead, according to reports, which also say Christian workers in the area have gone into hiding.

The gunmen stormed Emmanuel Baptist Church in Kakau Daji area in southern Kaduna last Sunday, the Christian ministry Open Doors reported, adding that the telecom networks were down at the time to help combat bandit activity.

“The church was unable to call for help, whilst the bandits have reportedly asked for a higher ransom because they had to travel farther for network service to contact the victims’ relations,” the ministry said.

The government claimed that it had tightened security in that locality, but the Rev. Joseph Haya, chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria and a Baptist, said he disagreed and that the threat of more attacks remains. “We are seriously worried now. Gunmen are gradually approaching the township,” he was quoted as saying.

Haya told The Epoch Times that the Baptist church “is the worst hit church in this state.”

Catholic Herald reported that the number of those kidnapped could be more than 100 and that two worshipers had been critically injured.

“This kidnapping is a shocking example of the audacity of the so-called bandits and the impunity that is escalating, seemingly without bounds in Nigeria,” said Jo Newhouse, spokesperson for Open Doors in sub-Saharan Africa. “The government is grossly failing its citizens in this matter and the continuing lawlessness is creating ideal breeding ground for extremism.”

In July, more than 140 students were abducted as they were scheduled to take their final exams at Bethel Baptist High School in the Chikun local government area in the same state.

The abductors promised the parents that their children would not starve if they provided rice, beans, palm oil, salt and stock cubes. They said a ransom demand would follow, Reuters reported at the time.

Terrorist groups with a foothold in the region, like Boko Haram, have carried out mass kidnappings in recent years, including kidnapping over 200 girls from a school in Chibok in 2014.

Dede Laugesen, the executive director of Save the Persecuted Christians, told The Christian Post in a previous interview that terrorists will often kidnap boys and brainwash them to become jihadis.

Many Nigerians have raised concerns about what they perceive as the government’s inaction in holding terrorists accountable for the rising number of attacks and kidnappings.

In an earlier interview with CP, Emeka Umeagbalai of the International Society for Civil Liberties and the Rule of Law, said kidnappings of Christians happen for various reasons.

Some terrorists, like Boko Haram, the Islamic State West Africa Province and radical Fulani militants are motivated by money, while others are motivated by Islamic radicalism.

Security analysts say kidnapping for ransom is becoming a lucrative industry in Nigeria. And weapons are becoming readily available to militants in Nigeria thanks to war-torn Libya.

The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Speaks

The Christian Association of Nigeria has said 66 worshipers were abducted by gunmen on Sunday, October 31, 2021, in Emmanuel Baptist Church, Kakau Daji, Kakau, in the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The organisation said contrary to the earlier number reported, its finding showed that 66 congregants were whisked away at gunpoint and one other person was shot dead during church service.

The Vice President of CAN in the 19 Northern states and Abuja, who is also the chairman of the body in Kaduna State, Rev. John Hayab, said this in an interview with Saturday PUNCH.

“The incident happened around 10am during worship service on Sunday October 31.

“During the deadly attack, one person was killed while another person injured is receiving treatment in hospital.

“The challenge of insecurity in Kaduna has not improved and the church has always been a victim. The government in Kaduna State seems to lack the capacity to handle the situation.

“CAN is appealing to the Federal Government to act fast before the insecurity challenge in Kaduna State will plunge the whole nation into a bigger problem.”

“I found God at an extremely troubling period in my life and he showed himself to me when I needed him most,” said Rodriguez, who joined the Bloods in 2009 after his oldest brother was sentenced to prison.

“The gang lifestyle is pure manipulation,” he continued.

“They make you feel like they care about you, that they’ve got your back, that you’re family,” he said. “But all they do is use you so they don’t have to get their hands dirty.”

And after the second time a rival gang member tried killing his mom, Rodriguez finally realized that he’d become involved with “the wrong family,” he said.

“I have done a lot of bad things and mixed with a lot of bad people,” he admitted, noting that his mom’s would-be assailant was ultimately arrested. “I’m just grateful God looked out for me and my family.”

After breaking away from the streets in 2012, Rodriguez landed a job at Robert Wood Johnson as a hospital housekeeper.

A year later, he completed training to become an ICU patient attendant.

And while caring for the sick, Rodriguez discovered his God-given musical talents. So he taught himself to play the piano and guitar.

“Jesus put us on this Earth to help people, to love people and to preach the gospel,” the self-educated soloist said on TikTok.

Now — whenever he’s not busy working as a hospital phlebotomist, ferrying COVID-19 and blood samples from different laboratories — Rodriguez conducts bedside performances for those in need.

And despite some pushback from hospital executives who’ve told him he can’t “sing songs of Jesus or pray with your patients,” Rodriguez refuses to mute his ministry.

“Jesus told me, ‘Use your voice to love others and bring joy and peace,’ ” he said. “So [as] long as there’s air in my lungs, I’ll do just that.”

The General Overseer of the Redeem Christian Church Of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye, has said that in view of the current controversies that have continued to trailed the COVID 19 Vaccination, that he would get vaccinated over and over again in order to take the gospel of Jesus Christ round the world as commanded by God.

He was speaking during the October edition of Holy Ghost service and grand finale of the Annual Youths’ Convention of the Church, with the theme, “Exceeding Expectations” at the Redemption Camp on Km 45, Lagos-Ibadan Express Way .

Daddy G.O as he is fondly called by millions of his followers around the world , said his stance on the vaccine was a personal thing , and as as a father, he was also only addressing his children both biological and ‘spiritual’.

“I’m not talking to the country, I’m talking to you my children. He said to me, “Son, only those people whose time has come will die from this virus.” He told me Himself; he didn’t send a prophet. So, let me tell you one thing first and foremost, I think I have said this before; don’t be afraid.

“I’m a man under authority. What I’m saying does not necessarily represent the view of the Christian Association of Nigeria or the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, this is just my view vis-a-vis The Redeemed Christian Church of God”.

The revered clergyman while admonishing the congregation on the need to anchor on the Almighty God as the only sure safety , however told them that rather than live in fear,they should get vaccinated.

“Now , having said that, I have never said to you ‘don’t be vaccinated.’ You have never heard that from me. Rather than live in fear, or doubt, get vaccinated. If you believe that getting vaccinated would put your mind at rest, then go ahead.

“You may say, Daddy, are you saying that you too could be vaccinated? Ehhh….! If there are nations in the world that say that I cannot come to preach the gospel there because of vaccination, I will do anything for Jesus Christ.

“If vaccination or no vaccination is going to hinder me from doing the work God has called me to do, even if they asked me to be vaccinated 100 times, I will be vaccinated.

“So don’t ever say that you heard from me that I said you should not be vaccinated.

Adeboye who acknowledged the mercies of God has kept everyone, said “Safety is of the Lord. It is of the mercies of God that we were not consumed. If we were to go by what scientists said, what the highly skilled, intelligent scientific people said, oh God ! We should be counting the number of deaths in Nigeria by hundreds of thousands.

“That’s what they projected. But there is a God who answers prayers and He is still here today.

“When God told me on January 1, 2020 that the world is going to behave like a child in convulsion, when He said later not too long after that, that the whole world would have compulsory holiday, I didn’t know all the details.

“Because we know in parts; we only know what he tells us. And God is not a talkative. So, those who are always prophesying per second I wonder which God is talking to them.

“But as soon as it became clear that we are in for a very serious trouble, and the scientists began to say “hey what will happen to Africa now?” I cried to God.

“I reminded Him of the prayers of the elders that a cow that has no tail, it is God who will be chasing away the flies disturbing that cow. I cried to Him “My God please, we have no help but You; help us!

“We have an enemy we can’t see and unfortunately, majority of our doctors are not even around, they’ve gone to look for greener pastures. The facilities are not there. Many of the hospitals that will treat highly infectious diseases had been shut down for years. Help us.” And he spoke back to me and said, Son, I’ve had heard your cry.

“Now don’t be afraid does not mean be careless. You know my stand on cleanliness. You know how much time we devote to sanitation during our conventions. You know that.

“So if this thing has taught you nothing at all other than being clean, Glory be to God. But don’t be afraid. You will not die before your time.

The Man of God while reacting to media reports of some State Governors making the Vaccination compulsory, he said, compared to the population of Nigeria the vaccines available, were grossly inadequate .

Speaking further, Adeboye , admonished RCCG members to always imbibe the culture of cleanliness and observe all COVID-19 preventive protocols as specified by the governments at various levels

He also urged the government to take cognisance of the fact that there are various other life threatening conditions, adding that, COVID 19 seems to have taken all our attention.

“I think I read it in the news some days ago that the average number of people in Nigeria who die from snakebites is 2, 000 a year. If that is the case, and Corona virus has been with us for almost two years and the number of people who are dead is less than 4, 000, that means snakebite is killing more people than Corona virus. And I told you then that this thing is just one of the noisesome pestilences.

“So, don’t be afraid. If your time comes, there’s nothing anybody can do to keep you here, Corona virus

“I laughed when I heard that some governors were making it compulsory for people to be vaccinated before they can go to church, I said where the devil failed, some people are trying.

“Because the moment the virus first came, the first place they wanted to attack was the church – the very people who are praying to stop this thing, that said we shouldn’t meet. But thank God we overcame that.

“And it is doubly funny when I now heard that unless you are vaccinated, you can’t even go to the bank, I said I think he must have been misquoted. He must have been because, if they say unless you are vaccinated you can’t go to the bank and the number of vaccines available in the country is less than 10 per cent of the population, it means that 90 per cent can’t go to the bank.

“But I laughed because they gave us a notice that those who have money in the bank can quickly go and collect and we can go back to the original method of banking.

“You know how our fathers used to bank their money? They put it in pots and bury them at the back of their house. But all these things are necessary to make us laugh.

“Because in the Nigeria of today if you don’t laugh… Listen to me my children, tomorrow will be alright so keep on laughing. The Bible says rejoice,” he concluded.
