President Biden on Wednesday quoted Scripture, led the nation in a silent prayer, and called on members of both parties to come together, saying he will be a “president for all Americans.”

Biden, the nation’s 46th president, delivered his inaugural address moments after former President Trump landed in Florida at his Mar-a-Lago home, becoming the first president since Andrew Johnson 152 years ago to skip his successor’s public inauguration. Former Vice President Mike Pence did attend.

Although Trump broke with tradition at the inauguration, he did maintain another tradition by leaving Biden a handwritten letter in the Oval Office, according to various media reports. Its contents were not known.

Biden’s address took place after Kamala Harris took the oath of office to become the first female, black and Asian vice president in U.S. history. Country artist Garth Brooks sang Amazing Grace after Biden’s speech.

Biden’s speech focused on unity. The answer to America’s problems, he said, “is not to turn inward, to retreat into competing factions, distrusting those who don’t look like you, or worship the way you do, or don’t get their news from the same sources you do.”

“We must end this uncivil war that pits red against blue, and rural versus urban, [and] conservative versus liberal,” said Biden, who is Catholic. “We can do this if we open our souls instead of hardening our hearts, if we show a little tolerance and humility. And if we’re willing to stand in the other person’s shoes – as my mom would say just for a moment, stand in their shoes.”

Biden urged Americans, “Let’s start afresh, all of us.”

“Let’s begin to listen to one another again, hear one another, see one another, show respect to one another,” he said. “Politics doesn’t have to be a raging fire, destroying everything in its path. Every disagreement doesn’t have to be a cause for total war. And we must reject the culture in which facts themselves are manipulated and even manufactured. My fellow Americans, we have to be different than this. America has to be better than this. And I believe America is so much better than this.”

Biden noted that he was speaking in the shadows of the capitol building, and that its dome was constructed during the American Civil War.

“Yet we endured. We prevailed,” Biden said.

Biden directly addressed those who voted for President Trump.

“To all those who did not support us, let me say this, hear me out, as we move forward. Take a measure of me and my heart. If you still disagree, so be it. That’s democracy. That’s America – the right to dissent peaceably in the guardrails of our republic is perhaps this nation’s greatest strength. … [But] disagreement must not lead to disunion. And I pledge this to you: I will be your president for all Americans – all Americans. And I promise you I will fight as hard for those who did not support me as for those who did.”

He quoted Christian theologian Augustine (354-430 A.D.), who Biden said wrote that “a people was a multitude defined by the common objects of their love.” Biden then asked, “What are the common objects we as Americans love that define us as Americans?” He listed those common objects: “opportunity, security, liberty, dignity, respect, honor, and yes, the truth.”

“We must set aside politics and finally face this pandemic as one nation. … As the Bible says, ‘Weeping may endure for a night but joy cometh in the morning,’” Biden said, quoting Psalm 30:5. “We will get through this together.”

Biden paused during the speech for several seconds to lead the nation in a silent prayer to “remember all those who we lost this past year to the pandemic.” At the end of it, he said, “Amen.”

“My fellow Americans I close the day where I began – with the sacred oath, before God and all of you,” he said during closing comments. “I give you my word: I will always level with you. I will defend the Constitution. I’ll defend our democracy. I’ll defend America.”

Leo O’Donovan, a Jesuit priest and the former president of Georgetown University, delivered the invocation, asking God to grant Biden wisdom.

“For our new president, we beg of you, the wisdom Solomon sought when he knelt before you and prayed for ‘an understanding heart, so that I can govern your people, and know the difference between right and wrong,’” O’Donovan said, quoting 1 Kings 3:9. “We trust in the counsel of the letter of James: ‘If any of you lacks wisdom. You should ask God who gives generously to all without finding fault. And it will be given to you.’”

Silvester Beaman, pastor of Bethel AME Church in Wilmington, Del., delivered the benediction, praying that “we will make friends of our enemies.” Beaman asked God to help Americans to “use our resources for the national good and become a beacon of life, and goodwill to the world.”

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has announced the church would proceed on a 63-day fast.

He wrote,

“We will be fasting for 63 days, in three phases of 21 days each. The first of 21 days beginning January 11, you will do nothing except thanksgiving.

“The second 21 days, you will do nothing other than call for mercy, for yourself, your family, the Redeemed Christian Church of God, and for your nation.”

The last round of 21 days, he added, would accommodate personal demands.

“The last 21 days, you are free to pray the prayer of demand; for yourself, your family, your church (Whereby you’ll demand growth, expansion, supernatural provision, anointing, miracles, signs and wonders). You’ll pray the prayer of demand for your nation, for healings (physical, economic and political),” he said.

The cleric added: “If you don’t want to fast on a daily basis and you want to fast continuously, each segment of 21 days can be done 12 days continuously. If you want to do all the 63 days in the continuous fashion, it is 30 days continuously.”

Pastor of Household of God Church International Ministries, Chris Okotie says it is unscriptural to hold church services online – an innovation most churches have adopted as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic and in a bid to abide by social distancing guidelines. Okotie in a message he titled ‘The Covid-19 Mystery’ explained that God is not interested in computers and prefers an assembly of His people.

He also described the pandemic as a conspiracy to challenge the power of God. “We are dealing with one of the most sinister conspiracies in human history. What we call the online church is absolutely untrue, because for you to be church, you have to be ecclesia, which is translated from the Greek word, ec, which is out, and the word caleo, called out. The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has said no social distancing can keep him away from laying hands on the sick for them to be healed.

He spoke on Sunday at the church’s National Headquarters in the Ebute-Meta area of Lagos State.

Adeboye, who preached on the topic, Divine Lifting, however, urged members of his church and Nigerians to obey all COVID-19 protocols outlined by the government to prevent the spread of the virus.

The 78-year-old cleric, who donned a face shield, advised members of his church not to be afraid of the virus but implored them to play their role by obeying all health guidelines.

He said, “I want you to relax but don’t be careless. When I say relax, I do not say be careless. I hope you know the difference between the two. When they say wear your mask, wear your mask. When they say wash your hands, wash your hands. You know we are very particular about hygiene. Even when corona is gone, keep on washing your hands.”

A viral photo of the cleric wearing a face shield while he laid hands on a bedridden person had attracted criticisms last week but speaking today, the cleric said social distancing won’t prevent him from laying hands on the sick.

‌“When they talk about social distancing, do that as much as possible. Obey the government.
“But I can’t distance myself from my wife and I am not going to allow social distancing prevent me from laying hands on the sick so that they can recover – that is my duty and I will do it,” Adeboye said, stressing that he washes his hands frequently.

The PUNCH had also reported that Adeboye said he cancelled the church’s physical crossover service last Thursday and opted for the virtual experience in submission to the government and the Christian Association of Nigeria.

Don't just listen because somebody said so or the W.H.O said so. I disagree with the W.H.O for clear reasons. They have made too many mistakes and they don't apologise. They just change their minds and expect us to just follow. Remember, they didn't drop from heaven into W.H.O. We can ask them questions. They are not gods. Even God accepts questions and he answers. Why can't we asks these ones?

If you have the scientific evidence that lockdown works, provide it. So far, the nations that have been most compliant have had their numbers skyrocketing because they are not true''

Speaking further, he said

''I have sent people to go to the hospitals we were told were full. In many of the hospitals, they found very few or no sick people or patients. A lot of the hospital wards were empty and I have videos to provide you. So this was all a fraud and this COVID19 is not a killer disease as you were told.''

The founder and leader of the Redeemed Christian Church of God has revealed that he cancelled the 31st watch night crossover service to teach his church members the lesson of submission.
The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) had given a directive that churches must close their crossover service before 11pm in consonance with the measures set up by the Federal Government through the Presidential Task Force (PTF) to control the spread of COVID-19 as they imposed a curfew from 12 am to 4am.

In a sermon Pastor Adeboye delivered at his church’s first thanksgiving service of the year 2021, he addressed members who lamented over his action to cancel the service.

“I know some of you have been asking me ‘Daddy, why did you cancel the crossover service? We were getting ready to come to the camp to sing and dance and jump’. I will tell you why.

“Reason number one, I saw the opportunity to teach you another lesson on submission. When you obey in agreement with what your boss says, that is called cooperation. When your boss asks you to do something and you do it, even though you do not agree with him, it is called submission. Submission is when you obey even when you don’t agree.


“Some said by 10pm you should close. Another one said by 11pm you should close. I said, okay, let’s agree and close in our home. So, I said we’ll stay in our house and crossover at 12 midnight.”



Commending the government, Adeboye said they “are doing a very good job, they are trying their best. When you ask a man to do a job only God can do, don’t blame him if he makes mistakes. They are trying and doing their very best, humanly speaking, to protect us.”

David Oyedepo, founder, Living Faith Church, aka Winners Chapel “predicted:

2021 will be full of surprises.

However, in the Cross-Over Service held at the Church headquarters in Sango-Ota, Oyedepo preached a message of hope, entitled, “We are on the way to our Promised Land.”

He also said the devil is using Covid-19 to come after the Church of God.

“From 2021, you shall not wander in life again. You shall not know disappointments in 2021”.

“Your dramatic change of story shall come in 2021. Those affliction you are used to will not follow you to the year 2021,” he said.

Oyedepo, who said there is nothing in Covid-19 however reiterated that online fellowship can never be a substitute for physical Christian fellowship.

Founder, Synagogue Church Of All Nations, SCOAN, Prophet T.B. Joshua said there will dire consequences in 2021 and predicted multiple challenges and tougher times because of the novel coronavirus that is currently ravaging the globe.

“This year is planting a seed that will be harvested next year. What this monster called COVID-19 has been destroying will be seen clearly next year”, he said.

He made this known in his virtual New Year message to his followers.

Joshua said the coming affliction will be in three stages. While the first stage is already coming to an end, he said the second and third stages will be tougher, though they won’t be as widespread as the first stage.

“Let us talk about cure because of what is in this prophetic message for this year, 2021 – cure of affliction. This so-called monster, COVID-19, generally known as affliction, has three stages,” said the clergyman.

“We are getting to the end of the first stage. The second stage will be tougher than the first stage, but will not affect all countries.

“The third stage will be tougher than the second stage. The two last stages will not be widespread like the first stage,” he said.

Joshua also said there will be dire consequences as he saw companies, educational and faith institutions “being destroyed, people losing their jobs, divorce here and there and poverty becoming the order of the day.

”The world needs a sign to show faith tools come from God because we no longer trust our neighbours and our neighbours no longer trust us”, the prophet said.

VATICAN CITY (CNS) — As the Catholic Church celebrated World Peace Day Jan. 1, Pope Francis offered prayers for the people of war-torn Yemen, especially the nation’s children left without education and often without food by years of civil war.

Reciting the Angelus from the library of the Apostolic Palace, the pope made no mention of the sciatica pain that had forced him to miss an evening prayer service Dec. 31 and the morning Mass Jan. 1 for the feast of Mary, Mother of God.

With Italy on a severe lockdown to slow the spread of the coronavirus pandemic over the holidays and with rain falling on a mostly empty St. Peter’s Square, the pope livestreamed his Angelus address and prayer from inside the library.

Highlighting the connection between the feast of Mary, Mother of God, and World Peace Day, Pope Francis prayed that Mary, “who gave birth to the Prince of Peace and cuddled him with such tenderness in her arms, obtain for us from heaven the precious gift of peace, which cannot be fully pursued with human strength alone.”

“Human efforts alone are not enough,” he repeated, “because peace is above all a gift—a gift from God to be implored with incessant prayer, sustained with patient and respectful dialogue, constructed with an open collaboration with truth and justice and always attentive to the legitimate aspirations of individuals and peoples.”

Peace, he insisted, is a gift that requires a human response and human effort.

“Each of us, men and women of this time—each person—is called to make peace happen each day and in every place we live, taking by the hand those brothers and sisters who need a comforting word, a tender gesture, supportive help,” he said. “This is a task God gives us; the Lord gives us the task of being peacemakers.”

Pope Francis prayed that 2021 would be a time of “human and spiritual growth, that it be a time in which hatred and divisions—and they are many—are resolved, that it be a time to build and not to destroy, to take care of each other and of creation.”

The past year, with so much suffering and death because of Covid-19, “taught us how much it is necessary to take an interest in others’ problems and to share their concerns,” he said.

One place that should raise particular concern and many prayers, he said, is Yemen where 25 people were killed and more than 100 injured Dec. 30 when a bomb exploded at the airport in Aden as members of the country’s new Cabinet were arriving.

After nine years of war in the country, Pope Francis prayed for “peace for that martyred population.”

“Brothers and sisters,” he said, “think about the children of Yemen! They are without education, without medicine, starving. Let us pray for Yemen.”

Pope Francis also led prayers for Auxiliary Bishop Moses Chikwe of Owerri, Nigeria, and his driver, who were kidnapped Dec. 27.

Late Dec. 28 reports began circulating on social media in Nigeria that the bishop had been killed. However, the archdiocese issued a statement saying, “This information is unconfirmed, misleading and does not come from the Catholic Archdiocese of Owerri.”

“We continue to appeal that all join the archbishop in prayers for the release of Bishop Chikwe and Mr. Nduduisi Robert, his driver,” the archdiocese said.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Friday, said some of the events of the Year 2020 will recur in the New Year 2021.

He stated this in his ‘Prophecies for 2021’ released about 3am on Friday shortly after the church’s virtual crossover service held from 9pm on Thursday to about 1am on Friday.

The Year 2020 was majorly characterised by economic and health turmoil caused by the coronavirus pandemic.

The lockdown imposed to curb the spread of the virus led to recession in several countries of the world including Nigeria.

A number of vaccines have since been developed by leading pharma companies to build immunity against the virus but the 78-year-old cleric said for every Covid vaccine discovered, there is a new variant in the making, and “this will continue until the high and mighty admit that safety is of the Lord”.

The PUNCH had earlier reported that a new Covid strain has been detected in the United Kingdom and a few other places as the world enters the second wave of the pandemic.

Adeboye said on the international scene, “Some of the things that happened in 2020 will spill over into 2021.

“The world as a whole can only come out of the wounds when they admit the following;

“That it is the Most High that rules in the affairs of men not science. Daniel 4:25.

“That it is God that gives wisdom to the wise. Daniel 2:20-21.

“That God can reduce the so called wisdom of man to foolishness. 1 Corinthians 1:19-20. 4).

“That for every vaccine discovered, there is already a variant in the making. This will continue until the high and mighty admit that safety is of the Lord. Proverbs 21:31.

“God says He will begin to deal with nations on individual basis so that in any nation, if God’s people will humble themselves and pray, He will heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14.”

For Nigeria, the cleric said, “God wants us in Nigeria to know that only God can lift a siege. 2 Kings 7:1-end.

The general overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Enoch Adeboye, has said that a new variant of COVID-19 awaits every discovered vaccine being processed to cure the deadly coronavirus.

Mr Adeboye made the statement in his 2021 prophecies around 3:00 a.m. on Friday following the crossover service that was held at the eve of new year.

He claimed that many challenges that characterised 2020 will re-occur in 2021.

Some Nigerian clerics routinely deliver predictions for new years, “prophecies” many often dismiss as turning out false.

“Some of the things that happened in 2020 will spill over into 2021,” Mr Adeboye said.

One of the many challenges that rocked the year is Coronavirus and efforts have been made since to get vaccines to build immunity against the virus.

The cleric, however, said for every coronavirus vaccine discovered, there is a new variant in the making, claiming “it will continue until the high and mighty admit that safety is of the Lord.”

He said the world can only come out of the woods when it admits the following:

The Presiding Bishop of the Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners’ Chapel, David Oyedepo, says any system the church attacks will crash.

“When the church goes against a man, his destiny is finished. When the church goes against a system, that system will crash,” he said on Thursday night during a physical crossover service at the church’s headquarters in Canaanland, Ota, Ogun State.

Our correspondent observed that the service commenced at 6pm and ended at 08:40pm on Thursday.

The cleric, who spoke on the message titled, ‘We Are On The Way To Our Promised Land’, said the devil is using the Covid-19 pandemic to come after the church.

According to him, there is no online substitute for physical Christian fellowship, adding that the church has changed level.

Oyedepo said, “Men and brethren, there is nothing in Covid-19. One of the governors was making some statements recently and said, ‘We have only had five cases since the noise began. So, where is Covid-19?’

“One governor was also quoted as saying, ‘I saw people at National Identification Card area, no distancing, no nothing and how much more the church of God where there is order?’.

All over the world, cross-over services are significant events that usher in a New Year. Cross-over services hold majorly in churches on the night of December 31 every year and Christians usually gather to pray and worship their Maker for the gift of a brand New Year. As a custom, the services start a few hours before 12am and end some minutes after 12am.

But with the reality of the COVID-19 pandemic which has disrupted livelihood and ways of doing things, the cross-over services into the year 2021 will be different in many ways as global health authorities discourage large gatherings to curb the spread of the virus.

In Nigeria, state governments like Ogun, Lagos, Osun, Cross River, amongst others have warned churches against holding cross-over services this Thursday, insisting that the 12am to 4am curfew imposed by the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 subsists. The PTF also stressed the need to maintain social distancing, use of face masks and hand sanitisers as Nigeria battles the second wave of the virus.

Following these directives, leading Christian clerics in the country have adjusted their cross-over services with many opting for the virtual experience.

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, on Monday, said the church’s cross-over service would start by 6pm.

In a Facebook post on his verified page, the 78-year-old cleric wrote, “God has been so good to us. He has kept us despite the many hurdles of this year. It is time to crossover gallantly into 2021. Be a part of the crossover service and be empowered for the year 2021.”

The post was accompanied by a flyer which has 6pm as the commencement time, while members were encouraged to link up with the service online.

A top official of the church who spoke on the condition of anonymity said, “There is no physical cross-over service; we are linking with Daddy (Adeboye) virtually.”

Also, the Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries led by Dr Daniel Olukoya said the church’s cross-over service would hold physically between 9pm and 11pm while it would continue virtually into the New Year.

A circular dated December 29, 2020, and signed by Pastor Gbesan Adebambo, the church’s Assistant General Overseer in charge of Administration, partly read, “The leadership of this ministry has directed that, in view of the government safety and health regulations, coupled with the imposed curfew between 12am and 4am, the cross-over night service on the 31st of December, 2020, would now hold from 9pm to 11pm on Thursday.”

The Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners’ Chapel led by Bishop David Oyedepo has also said the church’s cross-over service would hold between 6pm and 8pm.

A member of the church who craved anonymity confirmed this. “My pastor announced it on Sunday and he said it was the instruction from CanaanLand,” the member said.

It was the Grace of God that made government not to clamp down on Bishop Oyedepo during Shiloh. Bishop Oyedepo had to release a memo in the first week of December asking church members to reduce attendance at the Shiloh ground in Otta and make use of the viewing centers,. While attendance at Canaan-land reduced to half its normal capacity, that of viewing centres increased by over thirty percent. Oyedepo boasted on the last day of Shiloh that " I knew Shiloh would hold".

Pastor Adeboye did a live Holy Ghost Service of Friday, the rest of the Holy Ghost Congress was virtual, from Monday December 7th till Sunday 13th, and both the live Holy Ghost Service and the virtual services in their branches were a shadow of what it used to be.

Pastor Kumuyi was forced to cancel the December Life National December Retreat Easter at the last moment, and convert it to a virtual nonsense. Deeper Life National December Retreat has been ongoing since 1974, impacting lots of lives, Shiloh has been ongoing since 1999, same with Holy Ghost Congress, yet these spiritual activities that had kept the nation one, despite the handworks of looting politicians, is being cancelled in the name of scamdemic.

All these ceremonies are usually used to bring down the presence of God in a Solemn Assembly, and declare blessings and open doors for the new year. Churches are cancelling crossover service, leaving their flank open to the attacks of the devil. General Overseer, Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, is excited as his four kids celebrate their wedding anniversary the same day.

Adeboye’s children always celebrate their wedding anniversary on 28 December, the date they all married but on different years.

Enoch, 78, who attended Obafemi Awolowo University, graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics in 1967, and married Foluke Adenike in the same year.

They have four kids: Adeolu Adeboye, Bolu Adubi (née Adeboye), Leke Adeboye and Dare Adeboye. He obtained a master’s degree in hydrodynamics from the University of Lagos in 1969 and a Ph.D. in Applied Mathematics from the University of Lagos, in 1975. Enoch Adeboye holds a position as Professor of Mathematics at the University of Lagos.

He joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1973 and began interpreting Yoruba to English by Pastor Josiah Olufemi Akindayomi. He was ordained a pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God in 1977 and became General Overseer of the church in 1981.

Sharing a picture of his children, Adeboye wrote: Happy Wedding Anniversary to all my seeds Adeolu, Bolugbe @lekeadeboye @dadeboye78 . I pray that the joy of the Lord will not depart from your homes in Jesus name.

Amidst rumours that some participants at its recent annual Shiloh programme may have contracted COVID-19, the Living Faith Church aka Winners’ Chapel, has cancelled its 2020/2021 Crossover Night/Vigil Service.

The Church’s Crossover Night/Vigil Service usually lasted from around 10 pm on every 31st December to about 4 a.m. of the first day of the New Year.

But PM News learnt that the overnight Crossover Night/Vigil Service will not hold next Thursday, the last day of the year.

Pastors of Living Faith churches across the country announced to their various congregations during on Sunday that instead of the Crossover/Night Vigil Service, there will be an early evening service that will begin around 5 p.m. or 6 p.m. on Thursday and last between two and three hours.

It was learnt that in addition, there will be another service, which will include live broadcast from Faith Tabernacle Ota, Ogun State that will commence at 7 a.m. on Friday, the first day of the year.

Though no reason was given for the cancellation, it was learnt that the Church may have chosen to defer to the 12 a.m. to 4 a.m. national curfew imposed by the President Task Force on COVID-19 to control the spread of the virus.

Lagos State Government had last week also asked churches to comply with the curfew by not holding crossover service.

Unconfirmed reports in some online media organisations had also indicated that some Pastors of the church contracted COVID-19 at the 2020 Shiloh programme.

But the General Overseer of Living Faith Church, Bishop David Oyedepo had consistently opposed lockdown measures imposed by government to control the spread of COVID-19.

Oyedepo had during the last Shiloh programme of the church indicated that he has zero regards for COVID-19, describing it as ‘a lie from the pit of hell.’

According to him, the so-called symptoms of COVID-19 were everyday symptoms.

He said, “Somebody has a temperature and then (they say) he has COVID-19. Everybody here has a temperature. You can’t be in the tropics and not have a temperature.

He also compared COVID-19 to a graven image that is only real for those who believe it exists.

“This graven image, I refuse to bow to it. Is COVID-19 real? Yes and no. Those who believe in it, it’s real to them, those who don’t believe in it, it’s not real,” he said.

As debate rages about the ethics of using cell lines from aborted fetuses, the Vatican
says it is morally acceptable

Pope Francis has not yet vaccinated against the Covid-19 pandemic. The world is watching to see if the 84-year-old bishop of Rome will receive a vaccine produced using cell lines from aborted fetuses, thus violating the principle of "moral cooperation in the evil of another" — in this case abortion.

His cooperation or non-cooperation (the pope was initially reluctant to wear a mask) will assert that "vaccination is not, as a rule, a moral obligation and that, therefore, it must be voluntary."

Although sin remains a personal act, moral cooperation in another's evil, such as abortion, can also become a grave sin, according to Catholic catechism. When willingly driving someone to get an abortion is considered a grave sin, is not benefiting from a vaccine made using aborted cell lines a sin?

Ever since research began for Covid-19 vaccines, theologians and bishops have discussed the moral dilemma. Most openly and vehemently opposed using a vaccine produced using cell lines, while some left the question open-ended.

The Congregation for the Doctrine of Faith (CDF), the Vatican office overseeing dogmatic developments, last week categorically stated that it is "morally acceptable" to receive Covid-19 vaccines produced using cell lines from aborted fetuses when no alternative is available.

The raison d'être for the Dec. 21 Vatican statement is that although any formal cooperation with evil is always morally wrong, mediate material cooperation can be morally licit at times. "Sometimes there are situations in which it is permissible to cooperate in a mediate material way in order either to gain some good or to prevent the loss of some good."

The Vatican was forced to bank on certain clauses in the moral theology of cooperation in evil as nations are waiting for the launch of the much-needed vaccines, all of which have employed cell lines either in the trial phase or in the manufacturing stage.

The Pontifical Academy for Life first addressed the moral dilemma of cooperation in evil in June 2005. The 2005 document dealt with issues surrounding vaccines prepared in cell lines from aborted fetuses.

However, the latest CDF document concluded that it is morally permissible and morally responsible for Catholics to accept these vaccines.

The Vatican made its stand clear on Covid-19 vaccines: "When ethically irreproachable Covid-19 vaccines are not available," it is "morally acceptable to receive Covid-19 vaccines that have used cell lines from aborted fetuses in their research and production process."

The Bishop told his congregation that they only fell victims to what they feared.

He said, "We were making progress; instead of blaming COVID-19, we started planting churches, so COVID-19 was tired and (got) parked away. We made a nonsense of the COVID-19 here. I have zero regards for it; it is a lie from the pit of hell."

He said that the so-called symptoms of COVID-19 were everyday symptoms, hence cases classified as COVID-19 cases were unreal.

He said, "Somebody has a temperature and then (they say) he has COVID-19. Everybody here has a temperature. You can't be in the tropics and not have a temperature.

"I have never seen an entire world so fooled like this season. I'm a responsible citizen on this earth with millions of followers and being blessed. I have a say. Now the nations gather themselves and rethink, one virus sent you packing, what if they're two? What if they're three? Then you will die inside your house.

"Most of those figures, they hide under the fact that they're COVID-19 related. Malaria, COVID-19 related, Typhoid fever, COVID-19 related. Kidney problem, COVID-19 related. So they keep building their profile, profile of deception."

He claimed that a bottle of his anointing oil was enough to take away any of the symptoms of COVID-19 more than any vaccine.

"Somebody came to me recently in one of the events I was in, he said, 'sir, can I take pictures with you?' I said, 'remove that mask on your face, are you a masquerade?'"

The Bishop compared COVID-19 to a graven image that is only real for those who believe it exists.

I just love serving the Lord. “I went on a mountain for three days fasting, praying and searching the scriptures, the first day, a snake fell in front of me, by the 3rd day, behold I heard God say to me ‘Behold, I have touched your tongue with coal of fire, as you say it, you see it.

President, Living Faith Church Worldwide, aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo, said, on Tuesday at Shiloh, that everyman is a victim of what he fears. Bishop Oyedepo said this in his opening message at Shiloh 2020, held on the theme “Turnaround Encounter,” at the church’s headquarters in Ota, Ogun State.

While expressing regret that many parts of the world have continued to suffer the siege of COVID-19 because “everyone is a victim of what he fears,” Oyedepo said 169 COVID-19 cases were reported healed during the lockdown, when church services were held online. He said: “One virus held the entire world to a standstill. Everybody is a victim of what he fears. Fear is a plague; you submit to it, it torments you.”

Recalling how a man from Côte d’Ivoire was healed of bone marrow cancer at Shiloh 2018 and has remained healed till date, he declared that the church is the solution centre for the world. “Without the church, the world will die. The world thought that the whole of Africa will die of COVID-19 and that there will be no place to bury people in Africa. But where are all of those projections?” he asked. Cursing the root of the COVID-19 pandemic in the entire world and declaring healing allover the globe, he warned everyone promoting the plague to desist from the act. Oyedepo said the theme of this year’s Shiloh was drawn from the book of Deuteronomy 2.3; was designed to ensure everyone experiences a turnaround and not dwell continuously in any unpleasant situation. He, therefore, welcomed participants to an era of ‘more’ in all areas of their lives, asserting that the path of the just is ordained to shine more and more, until Jesus comes.”

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God(RCCG) Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said that people who were above 70 years needed to check their salvation if they were still afraid of death.
Adeboye said this at the first Sunday Thanksgiving of the RCCG new year calendar, held at the headquarters in Lagos on Sunday.

Adeboye, however, declared that no one would die, adding that everyone would live to declare the word of God.

He added that the Almighty God would turn down coronavirus, adding that no virus would come near the children of God.

“God will give us total victory on any virus. The Lord who has kept us to see September will keep us to see the new year,” he prayed.

In his sermon, Adeboye told the congregation to always praise the Lord because He had done a lot for the country and everyone in particular.

“When we remember some people we grew up with are dead, some are in prison, sick, and we are still alive, then we should have reasons to praise the Lord.

“When we know we have the Almighty God, the conqueror of any virus by our side, then we have every reason to thank God,” he said.

He added that the Almighty God would never the people.

“Everyone should continue to praise God for life,” he said.

He urged those that had not given their lives to Christ to do so for them to get God’s blessings.

Witches across the United States have been casting spells upon President Donald Trump in an effort to topple him from power as part of the pagan tradition of the summer solstice. On the night of Friday, October 25, at 11:59 pm, thousands of witches from around the world cast a spell to “bind President Donald Trump and all those who abet him”. The ritual is intended to be performed during every waning crescent moon until he is no longer serving as President of the United States.

Now, Christians are counteracting the powers of darkness through fervent prayer. Even leaders from Israel are joining in to push back the forces of evil.

“Witchcraft, or its real name, Satanism, is explicitly a power struggle, which is why it is so readily dragged into politics. Satanism, in its essence, pits the adversary against God,” Rabbi Daniel Asore explained, according to CBN. “The politicians who believe that man can control all aspects of the world are coming from a belief system based in Satanism, whether knowingly or not.”

Participants in the ritual, which has been performed regularly since Trump’s inauguration, are taking particular encouragement from Democrats’ recent launch of an impeachment inquiry, which they see as a sign their efforts are working, Washington Examiner reports.

“I’m willing to go on record and say it’s working,” said Michael Hughes, the self-described magical thinker and activist who came up with the ritual.

The spell is crafted “to bind Donald Trump and all those who abet him,” and is supposed to be performed during every waning crescent moon until Trump is removed from office.

The ritual calls for the use of an unflattering photo of Trump, a tarot card, a stub of an orange candle, a pin, and a feather. Participants then call on the “heavenly hosts, demons of the infernal realms, and spirits of the ancestors” to bind Trump “so that his malignant works may fail utterly.”

Against Hughes’ expectations, the ritual took off, and is still being performed almost three years later, with this month’s event likely to draw thousands of participants at small group gatherings and covens, or meetings of witches, around the world.

While he said it is difficult to calculate how many people participated at the first event in 2017, Hughes said it was “definitely in the thousands” and spread “across the world.” He noted that several thousand people continue to participate in the ritual every month.

Hughes considers this spell a way for people to feel reempowered in the wake of the 2016 election.

“Knowing thousands of people are gathering together at the same time from all over the world to do this ritual and to put our beliefs and our desires into sharp focus, and to do that ritualistically, I think that has a really powerful effect,” said Hughes.

One member of the Bind Trump Facebook page said the summer solstice will be the “most powerful” binding yet.

And Hughes’ ritual is not the only effort to cast a spell on the Trump administration. Last year, a group of witches gathered to perform a hex to cause suffering on Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh, using effigies of Trump, Kavanaugh, and Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Father Vincent Lampert, a Roman Catholic priest and the designated exorcist of the Archdiocese of Indianapolis, said that Hughes’ ritual and the occult more broadly give an opening to evil in the lives of participants.

“Some of them may be doing it thinking it’s just fun, but they are gambling with evil, and just because their motive is one way doesn’t mean they’re not opening up an entry point for evil in their own life,” Fr. Lampert told the Washington Examiner.

And while more people might be turning to magic and witchcraft to find meaning, Fr. Lampert warned they are dangerous solutions.

“I think evil will present itself as something good, maybe initially to attract people’s attention, to draw people in, but then ultimately people are going to discover it’s all about fracturing their lives,” he said.

“We ask you to join us in praying for the strength of our nation, our elected representatives and for the souls of the lost who would take up Satanic arms against us,” reads a post on the Christian Nationalist Alliance website.

Other Christian groups such as David’s Tent are combatting the enemy with non-stop worship, praying protection from the schemes of the enemy.

“Our desire is to make a statement to our generation that Jesus is Lord and should be enthroned above every area of our lives and nation,” the group says.

New York Drug Lord, Herman Mendoza, Finds Jesus, Turns Pastor- ChristianGospel TV

Herman Mendoza built his kingdom in Queens, New York. He made a fortune selling cocaine with his brothers up and down the Eastern Seaboard. He had apartments around the city for his mistresses and a home in the Poconos for his beautiful nuclear family. But when he and his brothers were busted in a large-scale crackdown, his kingdom crumbled. Ready to kill himself rather than live behind bars, Herman instead came face-to-face with the all-consuming love of God. He would never be the same.

Herman Mendoza was once a New York drug lord with the world at his fingertips. With millions of dollars, women and worldly possessions, Mendoza thought he had it all — until his arrests and detainments led him on a path to discovering God and transforming his life.

Mendoza, author of the new book Shifting Shadows: How a New York Drug Lord Found Freedom in the Last Place He Expected, is now a Christian pastor in New York City.

And he recently told “The Pure Flix Podcast” about his foray into narcotics, explaining that he started experimenting with drugs as a teenager.

But it wasn’t until Mendoza’s 20’s when he couldn’t find employment that he really dove deep into the drug trade, following in the footsteps of his brothers.

“I was married and living with my wife and I was laid off from a job that I was working at,” Mendoza said. “And so I was desperate for money.”

So, Mendoza joined his brothers in distributing cocaine. It didn’t take long for him to feel untouchable, as money came flooding in and he began to party and enjoy his newfound riches.

“I thought that, ‘Hey, this is an easy way to make money and get rich,'” he said, noting, though, that his riches and fun were halted when cops found loads of cocaine in the trunk of his car.

Suddenly, Mendoza was facing life in prison — a reality that left him reeling.

“My mind was racing. My heart was like in my throat. It struck a chord with me because the reality of what I was involved in hit home,” he said. “I was facing 25 years to life, and at the time I had one child and I was thinking about my child, ‘What’s going to be of my child?'”

Mendoza struck a deal and ended up going to prison before being released and jumping right back into the crime mix.

“I was a fool … and I went right back into what they call in the streets, ‘the game,'” he said.

Once again, Mendoza found himself arrested and behind bars, with his legal conundrum becoming even more complex and troubling. But then something life-altering happened: his brother, who was also behind bars, became a Christian and set off on a mission to bring Mendoza to faith.

Remarkably, Mendoza’s brother saw his prayers answered.

“I gave my life to the Lord … there was no other recourse,” Mendoza said. “I said, I need to try God, I’ve tried anything else. … I had millions of dollars, but it was never satisfying.”

Despite his legal problems and past mistakes, Mendoza decided to become a Christian — an experience that deeply and profoundly impact his heart and mind.

“I felt this warmth that enveloped me. I felt the presence of God,” he said, noting that he suddenly wanted to heal his past mistakes and relationships. “I realized that Jesus paid the price for my sin … I was a walking dead man and now I’m alive in Christ.”

After Mendoza’s release, he started traveling the globe to share the gospel. And today he’s a pastor who is ministering to people in the New York City area.
